We hired Amanda for her day-of services, and since I had a vision & we crafted most of our stuff, she was super helpful in being there as a resource ( hey where should we order a cake)... and a sounding board (do you think it would look OK if we did this...)... mostly she was a place of sanity when we were feeling a little insane with all the details. We dumped off a mounting of bits & pieces the week before the wedding- and on the day of Amanda & her adorable team had everything set up in a cohesive beautiful way! It worked out great, she was fun, always answered my emails with my million questions, and was just as enthusiastic for our wedding as we were! Yay! Thanks ITN!

Amanda and the In The Now team is quite the amazing group! I hired Amanda initially for day-of coordination, however, she was so excited to help do the planning side of it. I was searching for someone who really was down-to-earth, has great taste and that GOT ME! Quite the task, but Amanda was the ticket!!! Immediately upon meeting with her, we hit it off! She understood EVERYTHING from our first meeting! Whatever budget you have to work with, Amanda will take charge in making it all work. She is a professional, a great friend to consult with her throughout the planning process (and possibly post-wedding! :) ) and has a heart of gold! My recommendation is that you find someone that you feel comfortable with (which Amanda is!)....it will make your wedding planning easier!I had a plethora of DIY details that I wanted to ensure were executed perfectly. I reviewed everything with Amanda and her team thoroughly and I couldn't have been more pleased! Everything was executed to a TEEEE!!!! Everybody raved about how calm and composed their staff was....it made the biggest difference! She went above and beyond our expectations....we were so grateful! I would HIGHLY recommend Amanda and the In The Now team! She is gaining steam in the wedding blog world, so get her while you can!!!

Seriously! Amanda Auer and her crew are amazing! They came in at the last minute and made everything at my reception just work. When the caterers were lacking, Amanda jumped right in and started helping. That's what I call going above and beyond! I would recommend Amanda and her crew for any wedding! :-)

Amanda is seriously the BEST!! When I met her at our first meeting I knew she totally got my vision for our wedding & she started coming up with great ways to improve upon it. You can tell she loves what she does & is very creative. I'm very organized and on top of things & she really impressed me that she was the same way. She was helpful to suggest vendors but didnt overly push them on me, she also helped by providing graphics for a lot of my paper products for the wedding. If I had to do all the programs & menus last minute, I would have lost my mind. If you are looking for a wedding coordinator that will take your event to next level definitely contact Amanda and her team!

I worked extensively with Amanda and her team starting at 9 months before my wedding. I hired ITN for full service wedding coordination and was not disappointed. Amanda was there to answer my many, many, MANY emails no matter how repetitive and OCD they were. She is such a creative person and really helped me with the visual aspect of my wedding. Everything looked gorgeous the day of! She helped me with vendors, attended meetings with me, emailed me design ideas, and was a pleasure to work with. During the wedding rehearsal, she kicked butt and made sure it ran smoothly and on time. The day of the wedding, she assisted with both the little (steam ironing my wedding dress) and big things (change of location for the cocktail ceremony due to the weather). I heard there were a few kinks that day but she handled it! I didn't find out about these issues until afterward the wedding which is EXACTLY what a planner should do--make sure you enjoy your special day and not sweat the small stuff! I definitely recommend Amanda!

Amanda is amazing. Plain and simple. She helped me plan every part of my wedding and made all my wedding dreams exceed my expectations. With her and her teams help my day when so smoothly and stress free! I didnt have one worry about whos doing what and if everyone was where they were supposed to be or if all the vendors were there and set up on time. Having a coordinator/planner/designer all in one that you can trust is worth every cent and In The Now is that company!

I have always dreamed of a fairy tale wedding, and Alicia from In the Now Weddings turned out to be my fairy godmother! When I hired her, I had somewhat of a vision of how I wanted my wedding to be, but I was completely clueless about how to bring it all together. Alicia was able to help me find the best vendors at the best price, made suggestions on how to save money but was never pushy, and came up with ideas that made it obvious she understoood what I wanted and was as passionate about making this day perfect as I was.

Alicia was unfailingly patient with me, especially when I began contacting her every day panicking about rain on my outdoor wedding. She showed me the back-up plan in case it did rain, which calmed me down immensely. No matter how anxious I became about random wedding details, Alicia was able to convince me not to worry, that everything would be perfect. And it was! The day of the wedding, we had a bit of a crisis with the furniture rental company; I had no idea until after I'd returned from my honeymoon and Alicia told me that she'd managed to get them to credit me for their error. Alicia had handled the entire crisis without breaking a sweat, and nobody was even aware anything had gone wrong!

After the reception was over, I was overjoyed to find that Alicia had personally gone to both changing rooms (the bridal changing suite and the groom's changing room), gathered and organized all my belongings, and had already placed them in the honeymoon suite for us. We didn't have to worry about a thing. The candles and rose petals waiting for us in the suite were the absolute perfect end to a perfect evening!

I always knew that I would go a little crazy in the weeks leading up to my wedding... after all, I've been looking forward to it my entire life! But having Alicia there changed all that. She was so much more than just a "coordinator"; she was a friend, a therapist, an expert... she turned my wedding from a fantasy to a reality, and I will never, ever forget that day! THANK YOU, ALICIA!!!

Not to sound too cliche, but... hiring Alicia from ITN Events was possibly the best wedding decision we made!

Our venue required us to hire their in-house DOC, and while there was nothing wrong with that (we knew ahead of time that this was the case) we felt that we needed a bit more help. This is where Alicia came in. We basically needed someone to keep all of our "stuff" organized and pretty on the big day. Alicia went seriously WAYYYY above and beyond her role. She set up our photobooth, made the tables look beautiful, set up the favors and flowers and guestbook and simply everything that needed doing got done. She got every single item to and from the venue, and seriously made the day a breeze for me. I was never worried about setting anything up, I knew it was all totally taken care of!

Alicia was also very quick to respond to e-mail and phone questions, which is an excellent thing when you are in "OMG BRIDE" mode and you need an answer to a ridiculous question RIGHT AWAY!

The value of their services is far beyond what the actual cost is. I did not have to worry/think/dread/freak out about anything on my wedding day, and that, ladies, is totally priceless.

I hired Amanda with In the Now Weddings and Events to be my day-of-coordinator. Amanda was absolutely wonderful before and during my wedding. During the planning she was always there to answer my questions and referred me to some wonderful vendors. I think In The Now Weddings and Events went above and beyond the day of coordinating duties. It was really nice to have someone to bounce ideas off of and to help me through planning this event for 150 people. During the wedding Amanda and her team were absolutely wonderful. They helped us with everything the groom and I needed. They set up everything exact ally how we imagined and the best part was they cleaned everything up. Amanda was gracious enough to bring all my decorations to my garage at home so I didn’t have to think about it at all. We were able to enjoy our wedding without any stress and that was priceless. I would highly recommend Amanda and In the Now Weddings and Events to anyone looking for a day of coordinator. If she is this amazing at for the day of coordinating I can only imagine if she put the entire event together.

I first contacted ITN back in September/October 2008 during the early stages of our planning process. I had been batch emailing several PW wedding coordinators in the LA/OC area after finding out our venue required one. Amanda was the FIRST to respond! I could already tell from that first email that I would like her. She was just so sweet, so warm, and just so bubbly. Most of all, I felt like she was a friend and not just some random vendor.

Unfortunately for us, hubby and I were not able to schedule an initial meeting with her for several weeks and during that time we had already met with some other coordinators. I was an eager beaver at the time [you know, the anxious and naive bride-to-be – overly excited about anything wedding] and decided that we would just go with another planner/coordinator – just so we could check another vendor off our list. BAD IDEA!! When things with the other planner/coordinator went horribly wrong, I immediately thought of Amanda and contacted her to see if she was still available on our date. She miraculously was! Needless to say, we booked her and NEVER looked back. It was the best decision ever. Our only regret was that we didn’t book her the first time around.

There is just so much to say. Amanda is simply A-mazing!! Hubby and I would not have survived the last couple of months of wedding madness without her. She is just so spirited and so good at what she does. She knows exactly what to say/what to do to make a slightly-frazzled bride feel sane again. She’s a friend, a counselor, a guide, and a confidant. I must also say that she’s an extremely busy bee but somehow always, always, always manages to make you feel like you’re the one-and-only couple in her life. A is not afraid of going above and beyond the standard call of duty. In addition to being our DOC, she was also our own little miss “Martha Stewart”. She helped us tremendously by designing and creating our cute boxed letterpress invitation suites [LOVED them, btw!]. She also created, printed, and assembled the rest of our paper goods (escort cards, menus, programs, table numbers, etc.). We were by no means a DIY couple so having her by our side was a godsend. We didn’t have to spend the last few days before the wedding stressing about this because she volunteered to help – just because she knew it would make everything easier and less stressful.

On the big day, A and Miriam were a dream. They executed and coordinated everything perfectly. We didn’t have to worry about one single thing, except to enjoy our day, because we knew A and her team were on top of it. The entire day was better than anything we could have imagined. We ate. We drank. We laughed. We danced. Of course, none of it would have been possible without the help of such an EXCELLENT DOC.

We had the BEST day EVAR!! THANK YOU THANK YOU, A!!!

I hired Alicia and an assistant as day of coordinators, and it was one of the best decisions I could have made! Not only was she there for the day, but she helped coordinate the rehearsal, and checked up with me in the months before the wedding to make sure the planning was going smoothly or to see if I needed additional help. She is the nicest person, not pushy at all and made sure every last item was accounted for. It was really nice to work with her as well because she was very accommodating to my crazy schedule. I really appreciated all the reminders she sent me. The day would not have gone as smoothly without her, and I was able to keep my mind on what was important throughout the whole wedding. Within 5 minutes of meeting Amanda Auer, I knew I wanted to hire her and her company. Her infectious personality and passion for her job radiate from her.I hired Amanda to be my day of coordinator, but throughout the months leading up to the wedding, she leant herself as a cheerleader, mentor, and ultimate source of support. She truly cares for her clients and you feel taken care of, not ONLY as a client, but as a friend. She is always so prompt to respond that you feel like her only client, though goodness knows, she keeps VERY busy.Although I had pretty much all of my details and vendors in place, Amanda offered much insight into the timeline of the day, vendors, and any other random question I had regarding weddings. She is experienced, calm, and collected.I gave her massive amounts of DIY for set up and she executed this all flawlessly. My husband and I felt happy and carefree the day of the wedding and felt that not one thing detracted from the event; not a single thing went wrong (that we were made aware of!)I could not recommend In the Now Weddings more. We were so very happy to have her be a part of our special day.

I initially wanted Amanda to be my day of coordinator because of her experience, but she was unavailable. Amanda referred me to one of her assistant, Alicia. I was a bit unsure since I wanted someone with a lot of experience. My now husband and I decided to meet with Alicia since their price was very reasonable. And after meeting with Alicia, we booked her. She was great…very professional, enthusiastic, and sincere. A few weeks later, there was some change of plans. Alicia notified us that she would only be able to be there for our ceremony and not for the reception, but she highly recommended Miriam (another one of Amanda’s assistant) to take over during the reception. That took us by surprise, because we just wanted to work with one coordinator. We met Miriam and she has the type “A” personality, which is perfect for a planner. Alicia and Miriam assured us everything would go smoothly and surely it did.

Alicia contacted me exactly a month before the wedding and started helping me plan. She is very prompt when replying to emails and I that’s something I look for in a vendor. Some vendors out there after you book them, they kind of disappear. And you wonder if the recession got to them and are they out of business or are they just too darn busy to reply to one of their clients?? Alicia would respond to my emails a few times a day because she checks her email that many times. =)

The ceremony organized by Alicia was perfect! Everything went as planned. All the flowers were in place; the string trio were queued to play the right songs at the right time; basically all the vendors were where they were suppose to be, either setting up for the reception or at the ceremony and Alicia made sure of that. Alicia had to leave right after the ceremony and she came to say goodbye and I was sad to see her go. Miriam handled the reception very well. We made some schedule changes at the last minute during the reception and Miriam was on top of it and made it look like we had it planned all along.

Initially, I was a bit skeptical on how things would turn out with the changing of the batons between Alicia and Miriam, but on that day the transition was so smooth, I didn’t even notice. I’m a very organized person, and I was very, very pleased with my wedding day. In the beginning I mentioned I was hesitant on booking Alicia because of her experience, but when working her she made it seemed like she’s been doing this for years. Alicia has great and warm personality! I highly recommend Alicia and Miriam! Very professional!!

My now husband and I never thought we would hire a wedding coordinator especially because we were so gung-ho about doing everything ourselves. We really wanted to mesh together both modern and whimsical elements, but at the same time we wanted our guests to really leave our wedding saying, "That wedding was SO them." We initially thought that with a wedding coordinator that personal feel would get lost in the mix. However, after trying to navigate our way through all the many vendors...we realized that we needed help. That's where Amanda and her team at In The Now came in. My mom, luckily, had attended a cousin's wedding where Amanda was the wedding coordinator..my mother who is usually on top of organizing all our family events ..was so impressed by how smoothly everything ran that she asked Amanda for her card.

Fast forward 3 months and one frantic email later, Amanda and I met at a local Starbucks. She listened to me, like REALLY listened. She took notes, she made me feel more relaxed and I knew that we needed her and we would be in good hands.

I'm sure there are a million things that Amanda did behind the scenes that I have yet to appreciate, but probably the icing on the wedding cake (corny, I know)..was when Amanda remembered that I had mentioned at our first meeting that my then fiance and I wanted an ice cream wedding cake but couldn't figure a suave, affordable and practical way to pull this off in the California summer heat. As the wedding drew closer, she came up with the solution when I had already given into the idea of just settling for a regular wedding cake. The solution was ice cream cupcakes! We loved them..our guests loved them..and it was just another touch that really kept in line with who we were as a couple, the little details that our guests who knew us best could appreciate..all because Amanda listened. She even stood up to our caterer..when he insisted on having lazy susans at the table!! The woman can definitely stand her ground and take charge when she needs to.

I could really go on and on. To Amanda and the fabulous ladies of ITN, thank you for being great at what you do! We are so grateful for a stress free wedding day!

Alicia made my day fabulous! She is an expert and very organized. I don't think things could have gone better. Alicia was there for me whenever I needed her and was always willing to help out at any time.
I hired her a few months in advance which really helped. I would recommend hiring her even a year ahead of time to get the best vendors. Alicia saved me loads of money and time by providing quality vendors that were in my price range. Alicia's prices are very reasonable, I don't think you could find cheaper...and its more than you could ask for. She pulled through for me even when I had to make last minute changes. She set up my candy table, favors, name cards, linens, table numbers and all my extra accessories. I met with Alicia for a rehearsal and told her exactly how I visioned my perfect day and she really went above and beyond to make my vision come true. Everyone at the wedding was extremely impressed by her hard work. I couldn't have planned the wedding without her. Don't try to plan a wedding on your own. Its not worth the hassle, when you could hire someone who does this for a living. Alicia was quick to respond with advice on arranging and planning by email or phone, and if I needed her to meet me for anything she was there.

Amanda was AMAZING! I found her almost 2 years before the wedding, and although we hadn't even hired her yet, she began helping me immediately. Amanda was always so easy to get in contact with, and ready and willing to help with every question I had. She recommended so many vendors for me when I asked, and we actually even recieved a discount from our DJ because we were working with Amanda.

On the day of our wedding, Amanda was great. She was there to answer the questions I was to frazzled to answer, and made sure every little detail I had planned was executed exactly. At the end of the night, all of the gifts and wedding items were boxed and put safely in our car for us by Amanda. Simply put, Amanda rocked.

My husband and I did not want to hire a coordinator. I'm super detailed and organized, and we have many willing and capable friends, so why hire a coordinator?? On a whim, we decided to meet w/Amanda. When we were leaving the meeting, my husband literally pleaded w/me to hire her and offered to work any overtime necessary to cover her fee. Now, 2 weeks after the wedding, I can say for sure that she was worth every penny.

So many brides warned me that the day would fly by and I wouldn't remember a thing. I'm so happy to say that my husband and I left for our honeymoon with so many happy memories of our wedding, since we were able to spend all our time w/family, friends and each other. I have Amanda, Miriam, Brittany and Josh to thank for that.

Aside from the day of services, Amanda let me pester her for months and months before the wedding w/inane questions about things like napkin colors and gun racks. Amanda always had a ready answer and she's the kind of girl who gets things done, and somehow she manages to do it all w/a warm, sincere smile. She also has more energy than a 4-year-old on Pixy Stix.

If you're on the fence about hiring a coordinator, trust a convert like me when I say that Amanda and team are worth every penny. Our venue was a blank canvas that didn't come w/rentals or a staff, and the In the Now team handled it all in stride. I can't believe we ever considered not hiring Amanda.

I originally contacted ITN to see if Amanda was available to coordinate my wedding. She was already booked for that day, but she suggested that I go with her assistant, Alicia, who was then starting to work as the head coordinator for some weddings. I was able to empathize with Alicia in starting a new career and trying to establish a name, so we decided to meet with both of them. I found Amanda to be full of energy and excitement, whereas Alicia was very sweet and easy-going. I was lucky to be able to work with both of them. Amanda helped me with my invitations which were gooorgeous (she's very creative and so resourceful!!), and Alicia helped me with meeting with the caterer and planning out the wedding day. We got married at Rancho Las Lomas, so compared to most other facilities or hotels, we had a lot of logistics and preparations to plan out. It also threatened to rain on the day of the wedding, and everything was supposed to be outdoors, so Alicia brilliantly made up multiple plans of what we would do if the weather didn't work out. She was very well-organized, prepared, and her calm demeanor also helped me to relax and not worry so much.

Luckily, everything worked out on the day of the wedding and I let Alicia take full control. She did a great job, especially with working with so many vendors, and we were able to enjoy the wedding day and not worry about details. I think Alicia did a great job and will only continue to grow as a great lead coordinator!! Thank you!!

To any future brides who choose In the Now Weddings: I am so happy for you! I would almost get married again just to have Alicia and Amanda help plan and coordinate my event.

My wedding had several challenges: I had two months to plan, I had zero vendors hired at that point, my venue was the home of a relative (so a completely raw space), and my fiancee and I were planning from out of state (we live in Chicago but were getting married in Orange County, CA). In addition to the logistical issues, I was definitely NOT one of those brides who dreamed of her wedding ever since I was a little girl... or even since I got engaged. I was, to put it mildly, dreading the wedding.

I contacted more than half a dozen coordinators to try to find the right fit for me. After seeing ITN's blog, I felt their style and personality had an element of fun and whimsy that most (if not all) of the other coordinators I contacted lacked. I secretly hoped they would be just as cool in person and when Alicia emailed me back to introduce herself, I knew right then she was the one! She made a truly personal connection and spoke from her heart, rather than treating it as "a job". Over the following months, she helped me organize my thoughts, think through my ideas, and gave invaluable suggestions. And through our daily (well, several times a day) emails, she was my biggest cheerleader, confidant, and workhorse. Plus she made me laugh out loud every day -- something very important for a stressed bride-to-be. I know for a fact she had other clients at the same time as me but I would have never known it by the way she gave her full attention to any question or concern I had, and she never left me waiting for an answer on anything. My fiancee later told me, "The day I stopped being stressed about the wedding was the day we hired Alicia." It's funny, now I actually miss her daily emails.

Although technically speaking I hired Alicia for a "month of" coordination package, she went far above and beyond, including going to the fabric district in LA to find us a custom table runner fabric and working tirelessly and happily for several months. She really took the time to get to know me and my fiancee and understand the style and tone we wanted for our wedding. Many times she and Amanda were able to make suggestions that improved on my own ideas. I think that's one of their greatest strengths, that they can think creatively and bring a fresh perspective.

The wedding day itself was beautiful and flowed seamlessly as far as I could tell. I was able to fully relax and enjoy every moment. Alicia was also in charge of making an In-N-Out run at the end of the night as a surprise treat for our guests. Her assistants took care of it perfectly behind the scenes, and our friends and families loved it.

If I have any regret it was that I didn't find ITN sooner. (Okay, second regret is that I didn't get a chance to take a picture with Alicia on the big day!) If you are considering getting a coordinator, don't wait to contact ITN. It was the best investment of my wedding.

Where do I even being to say great things about Amanda, Alicia and In the Now weddings and Events. I hired Amanda about a year prior to my wedding as a day of coordinator, because I work as an events manager I only needed someone to take care of day of things. Amanda went above and beyond for me letting me know if you ever need anything let me know. She was quick to respond to every question that I had.

On the day of my rehearsal she kept telling me just let go, I have a hard time releasing control of something is so important! On the day of the wedding Amanda and her assistant Alicia came to my rescue, I was able to give all control over to them and COMPLETELY enjoy my day!

My new husband and the best man accidentally left our overnight bag in the limo and when Amanda was asking if we had everything in our room, my groom realized that they had left it. Amanda took control and called the limo company and got the driver and our bag back!

We also had a dilemma of getting 2 sets of a cake cutting knives, Amanda came up with a way for us to utilize both sets.

Lastly, my new in laws at the end of the night were scrambling around trying to figure out how to get all of the presents into our room, little did they know that much earlier in the evening Amanda and Alicia had already taken care of the presents!

She is truly an amazing person and you will enjoy her. When you ask her to get you something it is done quickly and before you turn around she is back ready for your next move!

If you are the kind of person who doesn't want to worry about anything going wrong on one of the biggest days of your life hire Amanda and In The Now Weddings and Events. It will be the best investment you make on the wedding! I promise!

Amanda is honestly the best investment in our entire wedding. It's very hard for me to open up to new people I meet, but when I met Amanda, she quickly made me feel comfortable from the very beginning. She made me feel as if she was my friend helping me plan my wedding and not a wedding planner who is just doing it to get paid. She really has a lot of heart and drive for the wedding planning business and I like that, which is one of the main reasons I chose her. I had a lot of contact with her in my last month of planning, since I hired her as a month-of-coordinator. She did a lot of making sure all the loose ends were taken care of for the big day. I had a big bridal party and a pretty big wedding (about 300 guests), not to mention all the little details that I wanted and Amanda really came through for me. I gave her everything on the day of the rehearsal along with notes of how I wanted the reception to look and pretty much left it up to her to take care of the rest because I knew that she would make sure our wedding was beautiful and it was. During the reception, I had very little worries because whenever there was any kind of problem, my DH and I were quickly like "find Amanda", "get Amanda", "ask Amanda". She was like the go-to-person for anything and if anything were to go wrong it was quickly taken care of, which really helped me relax and enjoy the day. Even at the end of the reception, she, her wonderful assistant Miriam, and even her husband Josh helped gathered all the gifts and wedding stuff and put them all in our hotel room and made sure all the rental items were safe and ready to be picked up by vendors. I honestly don't know what I would have done if Amanda wasn't there. I can't stress enough how important hiring a wedding coordinator is. If there is any room at all in your budget for one, definitely give Amanda a call, she will take care of everything for you so you can actually enjoy your wedding day. She is so great that I actually miss planning my wedding because I miss all our daily emails. =)

Amanda is such a professional and this woman will wear so many hats for you that you wonder why did I hire other vendors. J/K but all seriousness, there were definitely some hiccups that went wrong but none of the guests would've known since she was a step ahead and for the most part, had answers and executed them through.

The funny thing is my husband had fought me on this in the beginning about hiring her so he haggled prices with her just because I wanted her but he didn't think we would need a d.o.c. She met him halfway and I was so sure he was going to scare her off. Not a chance, she showed up and did her thing. Now my husband feels bad for how he felt and that he haggled her because she was definitely worth her weight in gold and plus.

You will not lose with Amanda!! She's very friendly and we just clicked right away. All the questions and doubts I might've had to incorporate things into the wedding was not a big deal with her. Like I said she had answers that made you think duh, why didn't I think of that. In other words she made everything super smooth and easy from the first meeting.

Amanda is the best! She is super cool and easy to get along with. I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't like her. I hired her as a "day of" coordinator, but in reality she was communicating back and forth with me for months. She even met with me a couple of times in person and was always available to answer any questions that I had. She also got back to me right away everytime I contacted her. I knew with her in charge, I could rest easy and that was a big deal to me, since I tend to have anxiety. The wedding went great and she took care of everything. Some people may feel that a coordinator is a frivilous expense, but I knew that she was worth every penny and I didn't have to worry about anything going wrong. It was my day to relax and enjoy thanks to Amanda. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I actually booked Alicia, one of Amanda's assistants to do my wedding, and it was by far THE BEST decision I made throughout the whole wedding planning process!!!! I was hesitant to get a wedding coordinator when I first started wedding planning, being the control freak that I am, but I started getting overwhelmed pretty quickly. Even though I hired her with only 3 months to go and I was so scatterbrained when it came to vendors and their contracts, Alicia totally picked up where I left off and helped me make sense of everything. She was so good at getting everything organized and coming up with all these great ideas. Just when I thought I was going to have the perfect wedding, she would come up with something to make it even MORE special! She even made sure that, after the wedding, everything was accounted for and that we fulfilled all our obligations to other vendors.

We had such a great wedding day and it wasn’t just because of all the little details that Alicia paid attention too, it was mostly because I didn’t have to worry about a thing!!!! I received so many compliments about how beautiful our reception was, how cool our tables looked, how everything went so smoothly, and I owe it all to Alicia. She even decorated the top of our cake with a beautiful floral arrangement.

I can’t praise Alicia’s hard work, creativity, and patience enough. I was blessed to have someone like her watching over my big day and I tell everyone I know (whether or not their getting married, haha).

What can I say about the girls at In the Now Weddings, other than that they are so fabulous and the best investment you'll ever make?!

When I first e-mailed Amanda about coordination, I knew In the Now Weddings was who I'd go with for day-of coordination. Amanda made me feel like a friend, not a client. She was so sweet and warm- and that was just in an e-mail! When I met Amanda, and her co-worker Miriam (who was my day-of coordinator) in person, they were even more awesome. They sat back, took noted, and really listened to my ideas, no matter how crazy! They did not force their ideas or preferences on me, but rather embraced my thoughts, wants, and ideas.

While I worked with both Amanda and Miriam during the planning process, Miriam was my day-of coordinator and Alicia was her assistant. She was there when I needed her, even re-arranging her personal schedule to be at a venue walk-through with me (on a Friday morning, in downtown Los Angeles - what a trooper!). Miriam's level of involvement was perfect on my wedding day. I had voiced some concerns about our church (which was a little, well....cluttered). Miriam made that church look like a million bucks! Miriam did a great job of keeping my husband and I informed about any issues that came up without causing us to worry or stress out. For example, we'd hired the USC Trojan Marching Band for the grand entrance, but we were running late to our own reception! The band was getting antsy, as they had another gig to get to. Miriam called us to let us know, but convinced the band to wait just another couple of minutes until we got there. We made it and had a fabulous grand entrance, thanks in part to Miriam.

Miriam was amazing at making sure I had everything I needed. At one point, I needed my checkbook. I asked Miriam to find it (I think I said, "It's in a bag...somewhere....in this building, perhaps?!") and she found it within minutes and took it right back to my bag for me when I was done! It was the little things like this that Miriam did to help that really made a difference. I could give many more examples, but she was always right there when I needed something.

Miriam and Alicia took all of our gifts to our hotel room, which was right across the street. We returned to our room that night, expecting to find a pile of gifts on the floor. Nope! We returned to a candle-lit, rose petal covered hotel room, gifts stacked neatly in a corner. That was so sweet of the girls to do that- it was amazing, and Adam and I just stood there for several minutes, in awe of the room.

Miriam and Alicia even took pictures! I loved looking at the blog, seeing all the moments and details I'd missed.

Overall, I cannot recommend the girls at In the Now enough. They are quick, efficient, organized, nice, funny, professional....I could go on and on. I am so happy that I hired them for my day-of coordination, and you will be, too! Hire them immediately and watch your wedding troubles disappear!

Amanda! There is so much to say! She's wonderful and so easy to get along with. I felt more like a friend than a client. She took care of everything at the wedding and made sure I was comfortable and happy. I thought originally that a coordinator might be a frivolous expense, but Amanda's help was worth ever penny and she's affordable too! Amanda is detail-oriented. She jumps in a tackles any situation. Amanda was our hands-down most important (and favorite) vendor for our 07/11/08 wedding. We hired her probably a year prior to our wedding and she was above and beyond helpful during the entire year. She is very responsive to e-mails and calls, meticulous to details, thoughtful, organized, and full of ideas! Her creativity and professionalism make her amazing at what she does. I hired Amanda as my DOC and I'm so happy I did! I knew I just wanted to be a bride that day, be stress-free and soak up the moment. She definitely made that happen for me. My wife and I hired Amanda to do the complete package, the whole deal, because we wanted as much of her help as we could get and it was the second best decision we made in our wedding planning (the best reason being to get married!).

We only had a four and a half month engagement so doing things right the first time was really important and Amanda came through big time on everything. She recommended some great vendors which delivered great services/products at value prices and really helped set us at ease that everything was ready for our big day (actually, mainly just me since I'm the one who worries).

I'd have to write a couple pages to fully capture the awesomeness of Amanda so I'll just summarize some of our favorite things about her:

-She has a great energy and enthusiasm for what she does!
-She designed some blow-our-socks-off invitations.
-Helped us figure out what we wanted when we had no idea what we wanted.
-Helped us get what we wanted when we did know what we wanted.
-Was instrumental as our Day Of Coordinator when things started a little behind schedule and helped pull everything together to get things done on a compressed schedule.
-Very creative and imaginative.
-Great attention to detail and kept in touch with us via email and phone calls, promptly returning messages and calls.
-Great sense of humor and easy to get along with through all the minutia of planning.

Rest assured that Amanda is a great Wedding Planner, Day Of Coordinator, and was a great investment of part of our wedding budget.

I am a very picky person and I'm incredibly happy with the fantastic job Amanda did for us, I'd hire her again in a second and I will recommend her to all my friends.

This is late in coming, but wanted to give a heads up to future brides planning their wedding. Amanda was terrific. I hired her to be my doc, but she really went far and above the call of duty. Her and her assistant Jen were terrific and helped make the day flow very easily. She dealt with a huge bridal party and various mishaps at the reception site! I highly recommend her and her team!

I did all the design and preparation for our wedding. I gave Amanda very detailed instructions for setting up our Reception. If you have questions about any design details or design set-up, please email me. In an industry where event planners are a dime a dozen, Amanda Auer stands out. I hired Amanda as my Day of Coordinator about one month before the wedding and was impressed with her ability to jump in at the last minute and pick up the endless number details and vendor contacts I had for our wedding. I had hundreds of set-up details for our ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner/dancing locations and she executed them all perfectly. (In addition to a walk thru at the venue, I gave Amanda detailed lists of where items went, photos of the venue with detailed decor drawings, painstakingly organized and labeled boxes of decorations, etc. This was crucial, I believe, to our wedding details being set-up exactly as we had planned-- and she followed everything perfectly.) She made sure I did not miss a single event of the day or detail in planning and also made certain that I had the most incredible wedding possible. I highly recommend working with Amanda to any Bride, no matter how far they are into their planning process.

What can’t I say about Amanda? She is a lifesaver. I ended up booking with Amanda at the last minute and I am sure glad I did. The site I booked with had a day of coordinator who was a disaster, and if it weren’t for Amanda nothing would have gone smoothly.

When I first started planning my wedding I knew I wanted to have a lot of small details that would give my décor a very personal touch. Amanda was such a sweetheart and made sure all of the plans and details were put into place and executed to perfection. My whole family commented throughout the day how nice and efficient Amanda is. My Mom and I thank God for Amanda even a month after the wedding because we don’t know how we would have done it without her.

By far Amanda is the best money I spent on my wedding and allowed me to enjoy my day rather than worrying about everything that needed to get done.

What I like best about Amanda is that she is an honest, sincere, direct person with a good heart and a fantastic sense of style. These qualities are rare in a person especially someone in the wedding industry and is what makes Amanda a cut above the rest.

I absolutely adored Amanda and Jen! I planned my entire wedding and only needed DOC services. I read reviews on In The Now Weddings and booked Amanda without even meeting her. We had our first meeting together a couple of weeks before the wedding and we meshed so well, I KNEW she'd do a great job and she did! Everything (almost) went off without a hitch until the DJ didn't have the song for the Groom and Mother dance...Jen ran to her car and had a CD with the song on it! They both went above and beyond and I DEFINITELY recommend her to anyone who wants some stress taken off them on their special day. Thanks Amanda!

Briefly: Amanda was, by far, the best investment we made. We never imagined how much we would look back on her services as a blessing. Read more for details, but definitely, we HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Amanda, we could have made some changes in our choice of vendors but Amanda is definitely a keeper! We wouldn't have had such a wonderful wedding day without Amanda!

Amanda was the best last-minute investment. She greatly contributed in making our wedding day beautiful and most importantly, stress-free! I did all the planning and research for the wedding, with the help of my husband of course, and as the day grew closer, we were concerned with how the planning and ideas would be executed. We didn't want to ask our family members or close friends to spend time decorating and setting up, nor did I want to give them a list of "things to do." We also didn't have the budget for a DOC but someone on the OC Board recommended Amanda Auer. I met with her about 3 weeks prior to the wedding and thank God she was available. We instantly clicked and I knew she'd be perfect. A few days prior to the wedding I sent her a detailed list with instructions for set-up and my ideas and suggestions, telling her to use her best judgement on more than a few occassions. She far exceeded our expectations and made our reception venue gorgeous! It was so awesome to say "Ask Amanda" to more than half a dozen people that asked me questions on the day of. She was very organized and discreet. Half-way through the reception my husband leaned in and whispered "Amanda was the best decision we ever made!" That meant a lot coming from someone who didn't see the need for a DOC in the first place. It took months for me to convince him, and it was amazing that he saw the value instantly! My cousin (who got recently got married) was so impressed with our room set-up that she hired Amanda to do her wedding shortly after ours. We highly, highly recommend Amanda.

I am so incredibly thankful to Amanda and Alicia for helping my wedding
to go off without a hitch, so to speak. Though Amanda was the one that I
initially talked to , Alicia was my wedding coordinator. We couldn't have
pulled it off without her. She decorated, coordinated, organized, took
photos, cleaned up, packed up & everything in between. Every detail was
perfect. She even brought the wedding party drinks while we were waiting
for our grand entrance. And she brought my new husband and me our food so
that we didn't have to get it ourselves. She was always there to help but
not "hovering". I didn't have to worry about anything on my big day. I did
the centerpieces and most of the decorations myself, and I trusted her to
set everything up and it was done beautifully. She even packed every
single thing up for me when it was over. Her enthusiasm & love for her

One of the most popular questions I get asked at consultation meetings is "What is your worst client situation?" [basically the same as "How many bridezillas do you have?"]. I tell them all the same thing: stress and money and emotion can change people, momentarily, but drastically! Planning a wedding is tough! With everything that the industry demands of the bride and groom these days, it's easy to lose a bit of rationality when it comes to that friend at working asking to bring a date, or your shoes not matching your dress perfectly. My BEST advice: live it up! It's only once you truly get the chance to do this right. Sure, things may not be perfect, but they're YOUR imperfections! That makes them perfect for you.
