Stacey was fantastic. She helped us accomplish exactly what we were looking for. My wife and I are two busy professionals and didnt have lots of time for planning our dream wedding, but with Stacey, we were able to give her some general ideas and with her vision, patience, and talents she was able to bring to life exactly what we were looking for. Stacey is truly amazing! Having Stacey help plan our wedding took a lot of the stress off of us. We were able to focus on our part, while she took care of everything from coordinating with vendors to designing the most minute details of the event.Stacey had so many ideas that added so much to our special day, and she was able to flawlessly execute every crazy idea that my husband and I came up with as well! Every time I turned around she was making something, sewing something, finding something that would add a special touch. I never believed that I was someone who would want a Wedding Coordinator and it took some work by my fiance and family to convince me otherwise. However, having been through the wedding process, I can't imagine planning a wedding without Stacey's help. My fiance and I clicked with her immediately and she instantly GOT what we were looking for - a non-traditional garden day wedding. Her contacts were great and she was always full of creative ideas. She came up with some great ways for my fiance, family and I to build surprises into the festivities. When we decided that we didn't have time or money to make extra touches, she made them herself. She was very respectful of our budget and worked very hard to stay within it. She was thoughtful, fun and kept her cool throughout. As I have told her, I would have paid her the entire budget if I could have. She deserved it!

Stacey is solid gold. She helped make our wedding exactly what we wanted it to be: intimate, romantic, elegant, memorable, and a lot of fun. She worked with us for months getting to know us and being sensitive to our vision for the wedding. When we were too busy to make decisions on the finer details, Stacey made the call. And she made a lot of calls!Our wedding location was fairly remote on the Oregon Coast. We worked with Stacey long distance from Portland. But the distance did not phase Stacey at all - she still had great vendor recommendations in our area and kept in constant communication with us and the vendors that we asked her to work with. No request was too outlandish or too much trouble. She put so many personal touches on our wedding that our guests thought Martha Stewart had coordinated it. When Stacey determined that the tent walls did not meet her aesthetic, she made them herself from white linen and hand pressed them on the day of the event. She hand made invitations and menus for our rehearsal dinner that somehow matched our wedding invitations perfectly. She built our cupcake stand. Too many things to mention and everything had a very personal touch that not just reflected Stacey's talent, but more importantly reflected very well who my wife and I are and the message of love and joy we wanted to convey without using typical wedding conventions.Stacey worked with us on guest accomodations, our welcome dinner, rehearsal dinner, the ceremony, the reception, and even cooked for our farewell brunch. She also worked with our family members who were hosting some of the events - truly illustrating that she can work with anyone.One last comment about how professional Stacey is. When the wind picked up on the beach the day before our ceremony spoiling our plans for a beach wedding, Stacey made the switch of the ceremony to the receptions site seamless. All our guests were personally notified by phone of the event location change and not a single person missed our ceremony as a result.We highly recommend Stacey for any event. She is truly a planner extraordinaire!

Stacey planned an extraodinary series of events for the most intimate and romantic of weddings. Ours was a very small affair but it could have been for 300 guests with Stacey's talent.For the two days preceding the wedding, Stacey arranged the following for us and our out of town guests:a private tour of an important museum;an afternoon of shopping in Union Square;a matinee performance of Beach Blanket babylon;dinners ranging from Postrio to Tadich Grill and a dim sum lunch in Chinatown;a remarkable Napa Valley wine tour and tasting ... and much more.After selecting one of San Francisco's most extraordinary venues, Stacey arranged the orchestra, photography, catering, bar, rentals, flowers, cake, make-up artist, masseuse, and all of the intricate transportation needed ... name it and it was done. Or don't name it, and Stacey thought of it! The guests were thrilled with their surpise gifts in their rooms. This kind of event planning makes you want to have another wedding soon ... or perhaps just a great party!

As a photographer, I had a unique experience with the wedding coordinator. I truly felt that she saw each vendor as a member of her team. We all worked together to create the best experience for our clients. I initially met Stacey several months before the wedding at a walk through with the client at the venue. I do all styles of weddings and work within budgets both small and large. I'm happiest producing weddings with couples who want to showcase themselves with personalized touches, since that's where we get the creative juices going and really have some fun. If you're a crafty bride, I'm the planner for you, and I'm happy to come up with unique ideas and projects that you can execute. I also enjoy doing destination weddings because you never know what to expect, and I love a good challenge.

Why do I need to hire a wedding planner?I think the biggest misconception about hiring a planner is that we take the control away from you, and that you won’t be part of the creative process. That’s not the case. We provide guidance and advice, working with you every step of the way, ensuring that your visions for your wedding day come to fruition. A typical bride will spend over 200 hours planning their wedding. Think about it, that’s 5 full work weeks! Hiring a planner obviously saves you the time and energy of researching vendors and handling the endless tiny details. We can also often save you money by negotiating better rates with vendors. Often, we are able to make our fee fit into your budget just by negotiating better rates with your vendors. From helping clients find the perfect spot to say “I do”, to making sure that the drunken fraternity brother gets in a cab and home safely, we take care of it. Perhaps you’ve already secured the venue, but don’t have the time or energy to find the best florist, photographer, or cigar-roller for your style and budget. If that’s the case, then a partial planning package is a great choice. We attend vendor meetings and make recommendations, manage the budget, timeline, floor plans, and much, much more! Suppose you are one of those uber-organized gals who has it all down-- the location, the vendors, and so on, but you want to actually enjoy your day and not have to worry about whether or not the place cards are put out, the cake is cut on time, or your vegan guests get their meals. For this bride, the “day of” package is the ideal option. We review vendor contracts, set the schedule, oversee the rehearsal, and make sure neither you, your mom, or your BFF has to tell the DJ how to pronounce the bridal party’s names or ask the venue to turn down the lights when it’s party time. It’s your party and you should love every minute of it!What is E-Planning & Consultation?So many brides are on a budget nowadays, but want a helpful hand from a professional to point them in the right direction, so we’ve begun offering E-Planning. After an in-depth planning meeting with our clients, we develop a list of suitable vendors that best fit their style and budget. We are then available via e-mail to answer any questions and offer advice if needed throughout the planning process. Are the creative juices not flowing and you want ideas for your theme? Have you splurged on the dress and now have to come up with ways to pinch pennies in other areas? Or are you concerned with the impact your wedding will have on the planet and want to try to be more eco-friendly? No question is too small or trivial, and we’re happy to help.What other services do you provide?For brides on a tight budget, we offer floral and stationery design. We also design jewelry and can customize to match bridesmaids dresses, which makes a great gift! Can you accommodate couples who want to be environmentally friendly? Green is one of our favorite colors! We've passed savvySustainability certification and can put you on the path to leaving a smaller carbon footprint as you walk down the aisle. Nowadays, there are a number of vendors in every category dedicated to saving the environment, and when you combine them with a little common sense (keeping the three R's in mind of course), we can produce an eco-conscious event that's still elegant and stylish.Why did you become a wedding & event planner?I like to say that all of the jobs I’ve held from college until I started my company led me to this point. The path (or, ahem, aisle) began when I worked in a 4-star restaurant where I learned about food service and wine. After graduating from college, I became a television producer and on-air talent where I had to manage multiple projects at once, not to mention learn what looks good on camera. Small prints and bright red? Not so much. Keep that in mind when looking for bridesmaid dresses and men’s ties, if you’re having a videographer! I also started volunteering for local and national charities helping to plan and manage their fundraising events. It was here that I caught the bug. After moving to Los Angeles, I transitioned into entertainment marketing & promotions, where I was worked on higher profile celebrity events. Having always been crafty, it was a natural move into weddings and personal parties, where I could fully indulge my inner Martha Stewart. Where do you get your inspiration?First and foremost—my clients. Without them, their love story and their own vision for their big day, I’d have nowhere to start! I am more than a little obsessed with wedding magazines. Yep, get ‘em all. Interior design magazines and product catalogs are also fantastic sources, particularly if my client’s aesthetic leans on the modern side. And last but not least, there are so many wonderful wedding and party blogs out there that are chock full of creativity and inspired ideas.Do you accept "kickbacks" from vendors or suppliers? Nope. Any discounts offered to me are forwarded to our clients as additional savings to them. Do you have champagne tastes and only a beer budget? There are plenty of way to still WOW your guests, even if you're pinching pennies. If you simply must have that fabu location, try booking it on an off-day, Sunday through Thursday or during January-March when the wedding season is typically slow. Not only will the location fee be less costly, but many vendors, such as florists, caterers and entertainment providers, also offer lower rates for their services. Trust me, nobody would choose siting around watching "Golden Girl" reruns over business, especially in these tough economic times. The hour of day also makes a difference. Host a brunch or lunch time reception instead of a sit-down dinner. People are less likely to drink as much and the food will be more cost-effective. You might also consider a soft bar: non-alcoholic beverages, beer, wine & champagne, as opposed to a full bar. And no, a cash bar is never a good way to go. Never. Ever. It's a wedding, not happy hour at the local pub. Do you really need a six-tier fondant cake? Why not get a smaller one, then have sheet cake cut in the back to serve. Last, you might try your hand at some clever yet elegant DIY details that are inexpensive to do, yet still leave a lasting impression. For example, instead of renting a table runner, try using large pieces of coordinating scrapbooking paper under your centerpieces. Speaking of centerpieces, floating flowers instead of lush arrangements can cut your flower budget drastically (and it's more eco-friendly!). Ditto with using fruit, candles, or other non-traditional items. You can even save on your dress and shoes--Target and J. Crew both carry bridal lines, or you can rent a designer dress for a fraction of what it would cost to purchase it. I looked high & low for my own wedding shoes, but couldn't find the perfect ones I had envisioned... until I went to (are you sitting down?) ROSS! Yep, $25 for the silver strappy kitten-heeled sandals I had been dreaming of. You never know where you're going to find those bargains, so don't give up. And remember, just because it is cheap, doesn’t mean it’s going to look cheap…
