Jill and Kathy at Indy Cakes were helpful in the beginning, and they were quick to answer any questions I had. Their prices were cheaper than most other bakeries as you get as many flavors and fillings as you want for free. However about a week before my wedding Jill called me and told me they ordered the wrong number of stands, 2 less than I needed, and that they only had a 116 person cake instead of the 154 serving we had talked about at the consultation. Jill called me and kept asking me what I wanted to do about the stands, and even made me send her a picture that SHE drew at the consultation to confirm the number of stands and servings. Obviously they did not take good enough notes. I later get a call from Kathy saying that they knew my cake was 154 servings, and there must have been a miscommunication. That was confusing and frustrating. I also had to call and resay everything I had put down on the contract, things like the total number of cakes and that I was saving the top layer. I will say they worked to fix the problem, I had the correct number of stands and flavors for my wedding, however that was after many calls and headaches that I did not need so close to my wedding. To top it off, after the wedding I received a snippy call from Kathy wondering when I was going to return the cake stands; not very professional. Overall, they got the job done, but if you care about costumer service and don't want to clean up after them, I wouldn't recommend them.

We were very happy with this vendor! The cake turned out beautiful and it was a great value since we were budget conscious! We got lots of compliments on the cake and I would definitely recommend using them for your wedding cake!

Indy cakes was EXTREMELY easy to work with and did exactly what I wanted for my cake. I had more than a handful of people tell me how much they loved the look and taste of our cake. I even had someone text me after and tell me it was the best wedding cake she has ever had. I am so glad we chose Indy cakes!

I couldn't have asked for a better cake. The cake tasting was actually one of my favorite parts of planning--they have tons of flavors and combinations with the fillings and we got lots and lots of compliments on it. They were very easy to work with and did not have lots of little fees after quoting you a price. They were very straight and upfront. I even had a grooms cake for my husband---he's a VTech grad and they created a hookie bird to go on top of the cake! A+++++ experience

We had a pretty non traditional design in mind and they made it look amazing! The cake was beyond delicious! After we cut the cake and shared our first bites there are photos of me grabbing a few more extra bites :-p

Indy Cakes did an amazing job on our wedding cake! I gave them a picture from a magazine and they replicated it to a tee! They gave us lots of choices for flavors and all of them were delicious. I am very happy with Indy Cakes!

They did an AMAZING job on my grooms cake! I brought in a picture of a scuba diving cake and they did exactly what I asked! It looked like it belonged on TV! The flavors choices were great and they even added a flavor that wasnt on the list that they were experimenting with. It was very reasonalbly priced, I would have paid more for it! We both loved the cake and can't wait for an excuse to get another one!

We\'ve seen many pictures of this vendor\'s other wedding cakes, so we were excited that they\'d be making our wedding cake. Their other cakes are very pretty, so maybe we just had expectations too high. But...what we ended up with wasn\'t what we had visualized. The colors were much brighter than we had anticipated or asked for (the pale yellow we requested ended up being quite bold, and the two tones of blue that ended up being used seemed to clash), and it was otherwise very plain, with no decorations around the top edges of any layer. It felt like they got to our cake that day...and just DIDN\'T CARE...maybe because we were a couple from out of state, or maybe it was just too much cake to decorate. The bride and groom were put on the cake backwards (the bride is wearing rain boots visible only from one side, and the point of using that particular couple was the umbrella and the cute boots that ended up not being visible...the side with the boots is always what is displayed in pictures online and on the box). There was supposed to be a light-up castle on top of the cake...and they didn\'t put the light in it. If there was a problem with the castle, we wish we\'d have been notified the day before or morning of the reception, because we went out of our way just to order that particular castle due to the light! It also appeared to be haphazardly plopped up on top of the cake with no decorations around it...it just looked awkward, and not like the photo we\'d used for inspiration. My husband wanted a fountain (and even though I am not a fan of fountains anymore, it was important to him so we did it). I felt like they were making fun of the fountain idea and thus didn\'t give a care about the whole cake. Yes...it did taste good, but it didn\'t seem like it was up to par with the other cakes we\'d seen in their pictures.

We were very disappointed to see this review as the comments we heard while setting up and upon return of the stand were how beautiful the cake was. We care about all of our couples, regardless of whether or not they are local and we put a lot of time and effort into decorating this very large cake. We would never make light of a couple's chosen design and have done many fountain designs in the past and since this wedding.The colors that were used were matched to the colors that was provided by the bride. The design was also provided by the bride and matched the photo given. Please note that we have added a photo of the cake in our photos. The bride was to provide fresh flowers to go under the two side cakes as well as around the fountain. As far as the castle not being lit, there were no batteries or light provided for the topper, so it would not have been able to be lit. Had batteries or a light been provided, we would have turned on the topper. Also, the bride and groom were not facing backwards, as you can see in the photo. If they had been facing the other direction, her arm would have covered his face.Again, we always want to provide the best for our clients, and we believe that we provided a beautiful cake that matched the colors and design specifications that we were given.

Jill did a great job on our cake! It was beautiful, almost too pretty to chop up and eat! We had asked her to copy one of the designs of another cake in her portfolio, which was made up of tiny icing flowers. The taste of the cake was also incredible. I know many people say that they can’t taste the difference between a Wal-mart cake and a cake made from fresh ingredients, but I saw people who never eat cake take three slices. It was rich, fresh, and full of taste. We got chocolate and vanilla, which was perfect, because it was sweet but not too sweet. I would happily order another cake from Jill.
All the cakes are so beautiful that we had a hard time choosing (this was just after seeing some pictures), then came the tasting and man I wanted two cakes at my wedding. Her prices are very good for the quality of workmanship that is put into the cakes. You will have a truly joyful experience at Indy’s
