Unfortunately, one of the most important vendors for our wedding was a tremendous disappointment. Rev. Melanie will only meet with you at one of two possible locations on the day that is good for her - for people that work, this is a rude inconvenience, especially when you are trying to interview people to be hired for your wedding.

When we did meet with her, I thought she was very nice and liked that she was going to help me create our own ceremony - which I did.

Problems arose however, when I never heard back from her after that, and with less than two weeks before my wedding, I called her only to find out she had lost all her notes and had no recollection of our meeting. I had to sit down and type up our ceremony again, this time by myself with less than two weeks to go before we were married.

The day of my wedding she was bossy to my family members and made two mistakes while delivering our ceremony. When my parents handed her a check for final payment she had the nerve to suggest they give her a tip. Please don't hire this woman. We had an amazing wedding but it definitely was no thanks to her.

When my Husband And i first met Rev Melanie she seemed like such a great person to work with. As our planning went on she took a long time to respond to my emails. I had to email her serveral times before i would get a response from her. when we suggested things that we wanted to have done for our wedding she discouraged us from doing so. We wanted to have a special song played for our sand pouring ceremony and she told us no we could not do that. we did not get our final copy of our ceremony until the wek of our wedding and i had emailed her this 2 months before our wedding. she showed up for our rehearsal and rushed us to do this. then our son who is only 4 and was the ring bearer did not want to walk down the aisle at rehearsal and she said to us not to even have him then. on our wedding day she showed up and right away complained about how she was sick and did not feel good. She rushed us through the ceremony. When reading our ceremony she read through it so quickly she just wanted to get done and to leave. when we did our sand pouring that got messed up badly. she rushed us so fast i didnt even get to finish pouring my sand. then she picked up the container and shook it and messed up all the sand that we had poured. and she hurried up and put the lid on and that was it we were not even finished with the sand pouring. once the ceremony was finished she rushed out of their so quickly. i would not recommend using her. I now wish we would have never had her do our ceremony. We are Very unhappy and dissatisfied with her!!!!!!!!!

Rev. Melanie was a joy to work with. She was sweet, energetic and well-spoken. She worked with us to customize our ideal ceremony and performed it beautifully. I would highly recommend her as an officiant.

Rev. Melanie was very nice to work with and, from the research i did prior to hiring her, she is the most reasonably priced. She made our ceremony exactly what we wanted and supported us with ideas when we decided to write our own vows.

Rev Melanie did a wonderful job officiating our ceremony. She was always very responsive to email, provided samples to help write the ceremony, edited the ceremony wording ahead of time, and did a wonderful job the day of. I was very happy to have her as our officiant and thought she did a great job.
After the ceremony she left us with a keepsake binder with a copy of our ceremony and our wedding certificate. She promptly mailed in the necessary forms to the courthouse as we were able to get our official papers within two weeks or so. Before hiring Rev Melanie I researched many officiants, none of them were even close in value. Rev. Melanie truly embodied her slogan of your day, your way. She is kind, always responded within 24 hours, was very flexible, has a great public speaking voice, and did exactly as asked. Thanks Rev Melanie for helping to make our wedding very special!

Rev. Melanie was GREAT!! From the initial contact to the day of the wedding our questions were answered promptly. She made the day very special for us and helped us coordinate a ceremony that was specifically designed to meet our wants and needs.

Melanie did an absolutely fantastic job. We had a small, intimate ceremony and she worked with us to make it completely unique. Neither my husband or I are religious, but Melanie worked with us to create a meaningul secular ceremony that fit us perfectly. On the day of our wedding, she had 2 other ceremonies to officiate, but not once did we feel that we were being rushed through our event. She even took time afterwards to talk with us and wish us well before heading off to the next lucky couple.

She answered emails very quickly and was extremely attentive during phone conversations, answering all of our questions and providing guidance where needed. I would definitely recommend Melanie to others.

Rev. Melanie was perfect in every way. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful the ceremony was and how it was so thoughtful and great how she included a family ceremony to include my daughter in the joining of our families. I can't say enough how perfect Rev. Melanie made our day! She is definatly 2 thumbs up and more!!

Overall, Rev. Melanie did an excellent job officiating our ceremony. She worked with us to create a customized ceremony and had some great suggestions as to how to include our guests. The only suggestion that I have to improve service would be to arrive to the ceremony site a few minutes earlier to meet both the bride and groom prior to the ceremony.

I cannot even begin to say enough wonderful things about Reverend Melanie. From the first email to her until after our wedding ceremony she was very attentive and helpful. She allowed us to customize the ceremony to best fit our needs and provided all the information we needed. Email responses were quick and I never had to wait to hear back from her on anything.

Her service was very personal and she helped calm this jittery bride down every time we spoke. She made our wedding ceremony an incredibly special event and I can't imagine it being as great as it was without her.

Melanie is wonderful! She is caring, accomodating, flexible, professional and very prepared. I would highly recommend her for any type of ceremony. My husband and I did a hand-fasting, and it was absolutley perfect. We are still getting compliments on how special our ceremony was.

Melanie actually did my grandson's wedding. I have referred her to girls in the past who were having wedding's at venues other than a traditional church.
