Inn at Mystic

We absolutely loved our wedding at the Inn at Mystic. We initially worked with Linda but Erin took over as our wedding coordinator over the summer and she did a really great job with all of the details for our special day! The Mansion, gardens, and grounds are beautiful. My husband and I wanted our ceremony and reception to be outdoors and the Inn was the perfect place! The tent is so pretty! Our guests really loved the location and the food! We were lucky and had a beautiful summer day for our wedding. We got to choose our menu which was a very nice touch! Erin was great to work with. As long as you are organized as the bride and groom and are in contact with her, she is on top of everything. She does respond to emails and phone calls.

One thing to keep in mind is that the town of Mystic has a 9pm noise ordinance and therefore since the reception is outside, everything needs to end by 9pm. The Inn is strict with this time curfew. We had our guests stay at a different Mystic hotel and provided transportation to/from the hotel to the Inn for our guests so that we could have an after-party at the bar in the hotel. This arrangement worked out wonderfully!

I know that there are many reviews out there about the Inn which give rather unpleasant accounts about dealing with the owner. Since we chose not to have our guests stay at the Inn, we did not deal with the owner once so I cannot attest to if these reviews are true.

Our wedding at the Inn was perfect and we wouldn't change a thing! It really is a special place to get married!

Do not have your wedding here! They have lost their wedding planner ....we tried to be patient but we had to deal with such lack of communication and disorganization...it was unbelievable - the owner is obnoxious and insulting...all of our vendors had issues with them as well... we have been told by many people that they have heard similar stories

The Inn is a beautiful place to get married. My guests couldn't get over beauty of the grounds and view of the water. The staff was professional and Erin was wonderful. Although she doesn't get back to me via email, all of my concerns were addressed and taken care of. I had not one worry during the entire ceremony or reception - she took care of everything!

The food was amazing -especially the hors d' oerves! We planned our entire menu with the chef (there was no preset menu to choose from!) The sea bass with mango salsa was delicious!

Overall, we were extremely happy with our choice! It was worth every penny!

This wedding venue had quoted us a different rate when we spoke with their coordinator during a consultation. When I received an email regarding the rates, the woman assisting us gave a higher rate than she quoted verbally. When I spoke on the phone with the woman assisting us she immediately became very defense and upset. I then asked to speak with the owner who advised us to have our wedding elsewhere. Needless to say we will not be working with this vendor and would not recommend them to anyone we know. Be advised!

This was absoluely the most perfect place for a wedding. My one nd only complaint is that the people at the front desk of the Inn part of the venue can be very rude. Other than that, everything was perfect

The Inn at Mystic was a perfect outdoor wedding venue, to avoid the typical "ballroom" event like most people have. Our weather was absolutely perfect for an August day, which was definitely a worry of ours- whether it would be too hot or rain. Linda the wedding coordinator is on her game and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Any extras to be set up we dropped off at the rehearsal and her and the staff took care of everything. Many of our guests said it was the best venue they have been too, the view, the outdoor atmosphere, the amazing grounds at the mansion. You design your own menu, the food was great. If you are looking for and outdoor wedding ceremony/reception with a view of the water then definitely go see the Mansion. The town of Mystic itself is very easy to get to and a great spot for a weekend getaway for your guests. The drawback of the 9pm end to the reception due to noise restrictions was easily made into a fun after reception party at the casino- where most of our guests stayed.

The Inn at Mystic is an amazing place. Perfect and wonderful for weddings. Linda and everyone at the Inn at Mystic are great to work with! It's pretty amazing to essentially have a day-of wedding coordinator come with the venue. We dropped off all of our supplies the day before the wedding, and everything was perfect and in its place throughout the day. The staff is very polite and after the reception, all of our extras were already boxed up and waiting for us. Only drawback is the 9pm curfew, but there are plenty of places in Mystic for a good after party!

The Inn is a beautiful location for any size wedding and offers several different ceremony spots on the grounds--- overlooking the river, in the shade of the trees or in the garden. Our guests-- young and old, liked wandering around the site and enjoyed the lush grass, lily pad-filled pond and fresh flowers as well as the close proximity to downtown Mystic. Several were impressed that the Inn was on the "1,000 Places to See Before You Die List" too.

We were delighted that the chef was open to creating "non-traditional" wedding fare-- no mystery meat served here! The menu was unique and there were something for everyone. I was happy that the staff was able to cater to some unique dietary needs and to younger palates-- even though we discovered that that kids liked the "big people" food just as much as their special meals.

There were little things that annoyed me during the planning including the fact that one of our deposits was "misplaced" because the check looked like something for the business office !??!! Overall, The Inn is an historic location in the heart of Mystic that creates a beautiful backdrop for your wedding.

We absolutely loved having our wedding here. The staff was very professional and helpful. The Inn is beautiful - everything was simply perfect, and we felt like we could truly relax and enjoy our day thanks to the wonderful wedding coordinator, Linda. The food is exceptional - we got to design our own menu. It was the perfect place to have a New England wedding.
