Joseph is really amazing!!! I found him through reviews online and a recc from another vendor from my wedding, and couldn't be happier with my choice in photographer. Choosing a fabulous photographer was my #1 priority as I am obsessed with photography and had a particular style in mind. When I saw his photos online, I knew he must be right up my alley so I made an appointment to meet with him. I explained to him what I envisioned, that I am picky about photos, and that this was the most important part of my wedding as far as I was concerned and he got it immediately. When I first went to meet with him he showed me some of the amazing pics he has taken and i was sold immediately. He truly is an artist. He is totally professional, punctual, responsive to emails and accommodating to my needs. My wedding was at the beautiful San Francisco City Hall, which is NOT an easy venue to shoot. Joseph is known in the City as one of the best photogs for this space, and he proved that when we were there by taking some really unique shots of us and the venue. My whole wedding party absolutely loved him, and we all had a great time going around the City taking unique pictures as a group. Joseph is playful, comfortable to work with in all ways, has a good sense of humor and helps make everything feel natural (even though it's totally unnatural to me to have someone following me around telling me how to pose). I would use Joseph again in the future absolutely. I got my pictures back from Joseph before I was even back from my honeymoon! It was such a pleasant surprise to return home to. We went through them all immediately and couldn't have been more thrilled. THEY ARE AMAZING! We sent the proofs to our family and friends to help us decide which we wanted to use in our albums and we have so many people telling us that they are the MOST amazing pictures they have ever seen. I've already had at least 10 people ask me who my photographer was because they were just so stunning. While the whole day was beautiful, he made it look like it was a celebrity wedding with the way he took pics. The photos should be in a magazine. I still haven't decided which photos to put in albums...it's so hard to choose. I would absolutely recommend Joseph to anyone who asks. He is worth every penny, he's fun, he's energetic and as far as I'm concerned a photographic genius. Just a quick note -- we also had Joseph shoot our engagement photos and I got SO many compliments on how amazing they were. He has such an eye for unique beauty and found the best composition for every shot. IQ Photo is A+ and five stars in my book!

Joseph is absolutely fabulous! 5 stars are not enough to rate his photography! When we got engaged, we both knew that our photographer would be the most important part of our wedding besides the location. When we saw his website we knew we wanted to meet Joseph. And when we did and looked through his photo albums, we found the one! We planned the wedding from Florida and could not do an engagement session, but Joseph offered to come to the rehearsal dinner instead. Oh my, that was so much fun! He had us do the funniest poses and took picutres of us, just like we are! On the day of the wedding, he had a fantastic assistant, Alex, and they both were just so amazing. We had so much fun taking photos in wineries, walking through the streets of St. Helena and during our reception and dinner. We cannot say enough about how fabulous the photos are and how happy we are with everything Joseph has done for us. Our friends and family keep saying that they had the time of their lives during our wedding and that the photos are straight from a magazine. Thank you Joseph for creating memories of a lifetime!

We got married at the City Hall last month and now all we have left are the beautiful photos and video by the brothers Alex and Joseph (IQ Videography and IQ Photo). We had a great time with them. They were very easy to work with. My husband and I were comfortable posing with them. Our families have nothing but praises for them too. They directed us well. Friends and family continue to rave about our photos and videos because they truly captured the wedding beautifully. We had an intimate ceremony of 20 ppl, immediate family only and yet by showing our photos and videos to our friends back in the Philippines, it was like they were able to experience the moment with us too! A lot of friends have told me that they cried while watching the videos. Oh, and we are from Ohio so we only communicated with them thru email and we had NO issues whatsoever. We planned to meet at a certain time and there they were! :) They listened to all our requests and I just can't imagine anyone else capturing our wedding day that way.If you are still having trouble choosing between IQphoto/videography vs X company, feel free to message me and I will gladly convince you to book them ASAP. :)

Just do it! You will "NOT" regret IQPhoto's services. We know we didn't!In fact, my wife and I are currently fighting who can write IQPhoto a better review than another. My wife and I live in Dallas, but all of our friends and family are in the Bay. Obivously, the wedding is going to be in the Bay. After some wedding planning through Google, we found Joseph's website on the City Hall wedding. After browsing through his city hall wedding collections, we decided to have a simple wedding to avoid all the remote wedding planning nightmare. It was Joseph who gave us the idea of getting married in the city hall.Joseph was very helpful and was very prompt in his responses. He showed up at the city hall on time and was able to get us started quickly. He seems to have a way to calm the bride very well (my wife was having a mental breakdown before the wedding), and he instructed many creative poses for us. We were really pleased at his creativity and results. He captured some of the simple interactions among us and family/friends and was able to portrait them very well in his photos. It seems like every photo was telling certain moment of the story. Joseph also has his way to organize group pictures as well. With a party of 10+, it can be chaotic to take pictures. However, his instructions to every group pictures was very clear, and allowed us to get great pictures without people running around all the time.Finally, he knows the place inside out, and he also know places that are great for pictures. You will need to go to his photo collection to see it, and I can say that only a few people know the intricacy of camera angles and light/shadow. After all, Joseph is the only photographer we know who can shoot photos as he walks....good luck finding someone who can top that!

My husband and I normally do not write reviews, but Joseph Kohn's photography was so exceptional that we want to let everyone know how much we LOVE his work. Since we did not plan to have a professional videographer, we wanted to spend more time looking for a photographer who focuses on photo-journalism. Top reasons why we give Joseph 5 stars and HIGHLY recommend him to every bride & groom:- The photos on his website speak for themselves. When we interviewed him, he showed us photos of weddings that he had taken in the previous weeks (raw footage from the weekend before). He didn't pick and choose his best, best to show us but instead showed us everything and all the photos looked amazing. - He knows how to capture the moment - the moment that tells the story. There's a picture of my husband and mother-in-law - their bond, their joy... . brings tears to my eyes. We also turned this amazing panoramic picture (3 shots he merged into one seamless photograph) he took of our ceremony in SF City hall into thank you cards. Our guests appreciated that because they were able to find themselves in the photo..very cool. - He was not intrusive at the wedding. Our family and guests hardly noticed he was around.- Quick turn around. He sent us our slideshow while we were still on our honeymoon. He works hard and fast, without compromising detail and professionalism.- He loves photography and doesn't come across as a salesman that is trying to sell his services. He enjoys explaining his techniques and comes up with innovative ways to change his shots. - He can capture the beauty in everyone. My husband and I are somewhat camera shy/stiff (trust me, we know we are!), but Joseph made us feel very comfortable. He made us, two very unphotogenic people, feel great! I never looked so great in photos before, ever!Joseph Kohn ROCKS!

One of my best friends who happened to be a NY Times staff photographer for many years was my guide on how to find a wedding photographer. I have my taste and style but I trusted her as eventually I lost a grip through so many websites. She navigated me through and brought me to Joseph. She simply said: "get him". I did. Now I realize what a smart decision it was. Besides his ability to convert ordinary things into fashionable and unforgettable memories, he is down to earth, has a great sense of humor and fun to be around with.

My wife remembered Joseph Kohn's work from her best friend's wedding, which was three years ago. I thought it was pretty impressive that my wife would remember his work three years after the fact, so I was immediately intrigued.Our experience with him was AWESOME. My main concern in picking a wedding photographer was that we would end up spending a lot of money on photos that nobody would care about in two years and that would make our wedding seem like a boring, staid affair instead of a celebration. Instead, Joseph really captured ALL the aspects of the day for me - the solemnity, the mystery, the anticipation, the joy, the party. He has a genius for staging photos in a way that really evokes the feeling of the day for me months afterwards, but he also has a genius for candid shots that are artistically interesting and bring out the human heart of a scene. And by "artistically interesting," I mean he shoots the coolest wedding photos I've ever seen - in fact, he shoots some of the coolest photos I've ever seen, period. If you've never seen wedding photography that you honestly thought was cool without being gimmicky, you need to check out Joseph's work.Besides the quality of his photography, Joseph was a joy to work with. He was a complete professional - which means he knew when (and how!) to be unobtrusive and how to move post-ceremony photos efficiently without being pushy, but ALSO that he genuinely shared our happiness. Throughout the process I felt like Joseph approached our wedding asking himself not how much money he could talk us into spending but how he could enhance the day for us, and our memories of it. Joseph was a joy to work with and did an amazing job of capturing all the emotion and energy of the day. He was highly professional, timely, and wonderful with the bridal party and guests. after you'll see your pictures you'll just love how they look and he captures all the important detail of you day. a money well spent i should say

While I am skeptical of other reviewers that give all 5 stars to all vendors, IQphoto aka Joseph Kohn really deserves 5 stars even if this were not the the Bay Area where everyone is talented and above average. We shopped around, compared Joseph to other top photographers, and he is the best. He did a fabulous engagement session for us from which we used numerous pictures for various parts of our wedding. He was extremely timely in getting the pictures back to us and put together a fantastic online 3-4 minute slideshow--something that is very important, which i had no idea beforehand: your parents will want to brag and show their friends, your ADD coworkers who you didn't invite will delight in seeing them but will only have the patience to see a few minutes of pictures. But the most important reason why he is so good is because he is an artist and his pictures are simply masterpieces. He has a keen eagle eye and can capture the moments like you would never imagine. He is also inventive in creating the perfect picture. I was a bit worried that he would not want to do the standard photo shots of the family and bridal party as he is an "artiste" and he knows it, but he did even those shots beautifully and with great attention to detail. We have a lot of friends who have expensive SLR cameras who were diligently snapping away and yet Joseph's pictures were far and away more incredible. (my friend's pictures were also good, I don't mean to demean their photography skilz in any way) So while I could go on in gushing detail and over-the-top superlatives as to why Joseph is so great, take the 5 stars to heart. He was our absolute best vendor, and the best money we spent on what is otherwise a money-sucking, inflation-ridden, anxiety-provoking day which will be the best day of your life.

I am one of those lucky brides who was able to work with many great vendors. Joseph and IQ Photo was a huge find for me. I instantly fell in love with his style and beautiful stories that he told in pictures. My (now) husband and I looked far and wide for the perfect photographer, we wanted to get this vendor right and not regret it. Joseph is awesome, plain and simple. He is extremely professional and he really loves his art. Joseph and his team were professional and even early to our early morning start time and got to work straight away. They worked tirelessly throughout the wedding and captured our special day. When we reviewed our photos for the first time it was just amazing the way we felt inside - I was so touched with the way that Joseph and team put our story together. Our guests were also really impressed with our photos and had many compliments about how beautiful everything looked. I credit that to Joseph and his team for being able to document those details in their way. I highly recommend Joseph Kohn to any wedding couple out there.

We absolutely fell in love with Joseph's portfolio on his website. His style was exactly what we were looking for. His services are in very high demand, but we lucked out and he was free for our wedding day. He was extremely flexible about his various packages that he offers, and a joy to work with. He is funny and personable, and knows how to find the best angles to make you look your best! We highly recommend his services to everybody!

When you are looking for the perfect photographer for one of the most important days of your life, what will you be seeking in this person? For my husband and I, we were concerned with the usual: quality of the photos, reliability of this photographer, cost of the service, etc BUT here's something you should also be looking for: someone deeply passionate about their work and someone who you will be comfortable spending the entire day with! We were comparing photographers and when we met Joseph, we loved how comprehensive and detailed he went into his work and background. You will have to schedule a meeting with him to see for yourself! He has a warm, humorous, and confident personality that will put you at ease immediately. Our wedding lasted for FIFTEEN (15) hours! I kid you not. We had to go through a traditional Vietnamese/Chinese tea ceremony, do a civil ceremony and then have a 10-course banquet in the evening. Joseph was present, alert and entertaining throughout this entire process and captured the event beautifully! He proves that he doesn't have to be Asian to understand the rituals that have to happen - he has done numerous weddings from various cultural backgrounds and his artistic eye had no problems capturing the special moments. We also did our engagement photos with Joseph and they are gorgeous! We are enlarging one of them to hang proudly in our home for family & friends to see. Anyway, I can gush on and on about Joseph but you need to see for yourself. Give him a call and sit down with him for an hour. You'll see why he has gotten perfect ratings thus far! Knowing well that our wedding day would fly by, my now husband and I had wedding photography high up on our list of priorities. We wanted every moment captured-- those we witnessed as well as those we may have missed. After meeting with Joseph, we knew that we could trust him with this very important task. We signed a contract with him well beyond a year before our wedding! Joseph is a wonderful photographer. I couldn't have imagined more beautiful images than the ones he took of our wedding and for our post-wedding shoot. Beyond pretty pictures, Joseph's work conveys feelings, emotions, and milestone moments.

"OH MY GOSH! ... You're soooo GOOD!!!! Why do you have to make me smile, laugh and tear during work, I don't know, but Thank you!" Those were the first thoughts, feelings, emotions and reply I had given Joseph when he emailed me a quick slide show of about 80 pictures, or what I called a teaser, of our 1100+ photos from our June 07 wedding.Joseph's portfolio's amazing and his website speaks for itself. However, what made me, or shall I say us, sign him was that ever single picture was breathtaking and it seemed so timeless. Come to later than see an album, and we were speechless, and add in his photo-journalistic approach, it made choosing him easy. On our wedding, he was very prompt and funny. He got a shot of my husband almost shedding a tear during the ceremony, me losing a veil because I kept sticking my head out of our Rolls, constantly joking around with our bridal party in their convertible Rolls, and to just having with our entire family, he was there to capture every moment. They say a picture says a thousand words, and he got the shot, or shall I say, all the shots; but most importantly, he got my husband and I just being us--this happy, carefree, calm and usually collective couple who just wanted to get married. There are no words that can describe and express that feeling when it's just you and the one you love looking into each others eyes for the very first time as one, but Joseph captured that moment and made time stand still.When you begin to plan the wedding of your dreams, with every vendor you meet and every contract you sign, you know you found "it" or the "one" and even the "dress" because you just know. Ask our friends, they too, ended up signing him and they loved the end results as well... and like I've told them, have I ever doubted you, especially when it's the biggest day of your life! With Joseph, there was no doubt that we, along with our friends, had chosen the right one.

Joseph's work speaks for itself...you must see it to appreciate it and although looking at his photos on the website will give you a good indication of his style, until you see them in an album, you can't fully comprehend how talented he is in his craft. We began a long search for the right photographer for our recent wedding and interviewed and reviewed many photographers and their websites. None of the one's I checked out were what we were looking for until I found Joseph's website...You know when you've found the right one because you just feel like you got hit by a 2x4 and you get very excited about it...Well, working with Joseph was a lot of fun and he makes it fun to take photographs...His creativity comes through in the situations he puts you in and at first you can't tell how this will ever become a great picture but when you look at them afterwards, you understand that he knows exactly what you want and delivers it to a tee...He's responsive, has a great sense of humor and a true professional. For someone who didn't even want to have a wedding, I am so happy I did! After discussions of having a civil ceremony or a destination wedding in Hawaii, we decided to have a great, big wedding to include all of our friends and family. It was fantastic! My husband planned most of our wedding and the only thing I really, really cared about were great photographs. I spent most of my wedding energy on finding the perfect photographer for us. I was so fortunate to find Joseph Kohn! His vision and artistry captured all the incredible moments of the day. I'm sure all of his clients would agree. You can sense his enthuiasm and his love for photography when he shoots. His passion for his "job" shows in the final product. Anxious to see your pictures after the wedding?
