It's A Date

Alyssa did my hair and makeup for my wedding, as well as hair-only for my mom and my five bridesmaids. She was great during the hair and makeup trial and looked at the photos I had brought and did an amazing job creating exactly the look I was going for (you can see pics in my bio of both the trial and day-of hair and make-up). On the day of the wedding she arrived at the girls' suite right on time and was amazingly fast and efficient getting everyone done. She even got done ahead of schedule!

Most important, she did a great job--I was so happy with how my makeup and hair looked, and my bridesmaids as well. She used mineral makeup that had a great, glowy look and it all stayed put throughout the day with no worry or fuss. I think I only reapplied lipstick once the whole day and it looked great in all the photos nevertheless!

It's A Date is based out of The Powder Room salon in Santa Rosa, which is a really cute little salon. If you are getting married in the wine country I would highly recommend checking out the talented ladies of It's a Date--Alyssa has my eternal gratitude for making me feel like a movie star on my wedding day.

Alyssa was awesome! She showed up right on time and finished my makeup and hair very quick, so I got a chance to relax before the ceremony. The makeup lasted the whole day and I loved the way my hair looked!

Katie did updo's for myself, my 4 brides maids, my flower girl and my mom for my wedding. She did such an incredible job. We had a preview a couple months before the wedding and she took the time to figure out what I really liked. I brought in pictures and she blew my expectations away on the big day. She worked so quickly, but did such elegant work. All my girls loved their hair, which is great because pleasing them is very hard to do. She was so much fun and really understood what we wanted, while bringing in her own creative flair. Thanks Katie!

DEEANNA IS AWESOME!!! SHE IS AN AMAZING HAIR STYLIST THAT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. SHE DID MY HAIR FOR MY WEDDING THIS SPRING, AND IT LOOKED BETTER THAN I COULD HAVE EVER IMAGINED!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

For my preview I was late...very late. I was driving from SF to Santa Rosa on a Friday and the traffic was horrible. I should have known better. Rachel was very sweet and understanding and was able to do my hair and make-up anyway. When she asked how I wanted my hair I basically said "I was thinking of doing it half up". She took that basic statement and made my hair outstanding! As for my make-up, it was great. Not caked on foundation and too much eyemake-up where you don't even look like yourself...not at all. I did have fake eyelashes and I HIGHLY recommend them. So much fun and they look terrific in pics.

On my wedding day Rachel was terrific. She ended up doing my mother's hair last minute and was so cool about being around all the pre-wedding craziness.
I honestly wished she could have stayed for the actual wedding!

I encourage any bride to go with Rachel or anyone at It's A Date for that matter.
