Gina was an absolute pleasure to work with. We tried 4 different bakers, but they we're all frustrated by our very custom idea. We wanted a very specific flavor and a very creative design. Gina took it as a challenge. Not only did she agree to do it, but she was enthusiastic to help us. It was beautiful. Absolutely perfect. It was also delicious!

AMAZING!!!!! I had the most beautiful 5 tier wedding cake that had embelishments of my dress on it. Gina also provided us with a desert table that had cake pops that matched our color theme and chamgagne cake shooters that were out of this world. I can't even begin to descibe how amazing all of the sweets were at the wedding. I wish I could eat the cake pops every single day!

Gina did an excellent job with our cake, grooms cake, and favors! The cake was so moist and delicious! I came to her with a picture from the game my husband and i met on and she made our characters look great! My husbands face lit up when he saw the cake. It was just the reaction i was looking for. We also had cake pops which were delicious and a big hit at our wedding! Our favors were italian pastries and they were so good! People are still talking about them and how good they were. I will be using Gina in the future we were very happy with her. She is so sweet and is in great contact anytime we needed! Thank you!

The cake I bought from Gina for my daughter's wedding on 10.22.11, did not taste like the cake we tried at the store, it was dry, also the top of the cake was suppose to be red velvet it was totally different, don't know what it was, also the middle piece was suppose to be covered in crystal beading like my Daughter's wedding dress that was missing, not happy at all.

Overall I was very pleased with the wedding cake that we had made by Gina. One of my few small complaints was that she was difficult to get a hold of and receive a response. I originally spoke to her about doing cake bites as my favor for the wedding guests (they are DELICIOUS) and she said she would email me an invoice and I never got it from her. Because of her lack of response I decided to not use her for our favors. Also, when my now husband and I did the cake tasting it was absolutely moist and delicious, but when we ate our wedding cake one of the layers was rather dry and not as good as it was at the tasting. The other two layers were really good, but it was a bit disappointing. The positives about the cake experience was that it was absolutely beautiful, overall tasting delicious, and Gina was really flexible with letting us do our cake tasting way after hours on a week night.

Gina is FABULOUS!!!! She has a true talent and she made our wedding day a true fairytale. Our cake was truly the best cake I have ever tasted! Everyone at our wedding went on and on about how fabulous it looked and how wonerful it tasted! Gina worked with us for a long time to create the perfect wedding cake and I truly appreciated all of her patience and kindness. IF YOU WANT THE BEST CAKE, IT'S ICING ON THE CAKE IS THE ONLY OPTION!

If you want a beautiful and absolutely delicious cake, then Gina and It's Icing on the Cake is where you need to go! My fiance and I met with Gina approximately 8 months prior to our wedding, and it was the most pleasant and fun experience we had during the whole planning process. Not only is Gina one of the nicest people you will meet, but her work is outstanding. After tasting numerous delicious cakes (one better than the next), we picked three of our favorites. We chose heavenly white cake with vanilla buttercream and fresh strawberries; coconut rum cake with coconut cream cheese filling and key lime mousse; and vanilla butter cake with chocolate rum espresso buttercream, carmel and vanilla buttercream. Although they were all excellent, the vanilla butter cake with various buttercream was the best thing that I've ever tasted in my life. Most of the guests told me that it was the best wedding cake they ever had! The cake was so beautiful, I didn't want to cut it! Our wedding was on the beach, and the cake withstood the hot temperatures without a problem. My husband and I are from Ohio, and I would not hesitate to fly down to visit Gina on our anniversary to have some of her delicious cake!

To say It's Icing on the Cake makes great tasting and beautiful cakes would be an understatement; but there is much more to this bakery than that! Gina and her team LOVE what they do --- and it shows both in the quality of their work and in your interactions with them at every turn. After we "happened upon" (long story) Gina we decided that she was going to do our cake for our wedding and we NEVER EVEN talked to anyone else; despite our wedding being 100 miles away! She wanted to know what WE wanted and what our vision was for the cake and then she created the LOVELY reality on our wedding day. The champagne cake with berry filling was DIVINE. We can't wait for our anniversary!

The vegan red velvet wedding cake we ordered was $920.20. When Gina showed up, she informed me that she had forgotten the cake platter that would be holding the cake. She was very nice about it & offered to drive back to the shop and get it, but while it was not a big deal, I told her not to worry about it. The cake was beautiful- 3 larger tiers with a plastic stand on top of them holding up the last 2 tiers.

However as soon as Gina & her set up crew left, my mom & a few of the people that had been helping set up noticed that the plastic stand & top 2 tiers had started to lean. During the best man's speech, the top 2 tiers on the stand fell & cake was all over the floor. Thankfully, we had a bunch of loose orchids that some of the ladies put all over the cake to cover up the damage. The rest of the cake began to melt/fall so we ended up cutting the cake before the guests were even finished with their meals.

When I called Gina about the issue the Tuesday after the wedding, she informed me that there was "no way the cake would have just fallen because it was structurally sound" and asked if she could think about what to do then give me a call back. After I never heard back from her, I followed up on Saturday (exactly 1 week after the wedding) and Gina informed me that there is nothing she would do to correct the mistake and she was going to mail the money to me for the cake platter she forgot but didn't have my address (mind you, she had ALL of my information from when I ordered the cake & could have EASILY returned my call to get the address).

3 of my bridesmaids are getting married this year as well as 2 of my friends that were in attendance at the wedding. I would have loved to recommend Its Icing on the Cake to all 5 of my wedding planning friends as well as a friend of mine that is a local wedding planner & even use the company for events in the future. Unfortunately, I will not be using the company ever again, but rather telling people NOT to use them. Not because I was not refunded for the cake disaster, but rather for the extremely unprofessional manner in which the situation was handled. In all honesty, if she would have at least taken the time to return my call like she said she would rather than cowering away from her mistake, I would have been more than happy to maintain a professional relationship with them.

Our wedding cake turned out wonderfully! It was great working with them from the first meeting to the wedding day! Not only was the cake delicious but it looked flawless on the wedding day. We were even brought back in to look at some additional ideas without even requested a second meeting!
We cant wait to order another cake for one of our future events!

Gina's cakes are two things: DELICIOUS and exactly what you want them to be! That could be anything and everything from whimsical, beautiful, elegant, funky and classic.

At our first meeting, she listened to all our thoughts on what we wanted and she sketched up a picture of what it could be right in front of our eyes. It was not only classically beautiful but had the little sparks of fun we wanted to keep it our own (sugar flowers made to match my bouquet and sprigs of rock candy!). And did I mention I could swim in her buttercream frosting it's so delicious? The cherry on our wonderful cake? The adorable sugar figurines she molded of my husband and I that acted as the cake topper. We had seen them while visiting family in South America and she recreated them PERFECTLY. Thanks, Gina!

Gina with It's Icing on the Cake created our dream wedding cake. We showed Gina a picture of the cake we wanted at our tasting and she able to make it look just like the picture. The cake was PERFECT and exactly what we wanted (and more).
We received SO many compliments about our wedding cake (look and taste). People kept saying "This is the best cake I've ever had!" We couldn't agree more. The cake was delicious and we are looking forward to our 1 year anniversary cake!

We used my husband's parents' cake topper from their wedding for our cake ... and somehow Gina made something that is almost 28 years old look modern on our cake! She incorporated the design of the topper into the design of our cake, and it was AMAZING. I am very detail oriented, and so is Gina - every tiny detail on our cake was impeccable.

Gina Serkez from It's Icing on the Cake made the coolest Groom's cake for our wedding. It was a Nikon D90 cake and it tasted SOOOOOooooo good! I have no idea how much this would cost elsewhere, so wasn't sure what to put in that category, but I was so happy with it I give all 5's!!!! :)

Gina was so nice and helpful in planning my wedding cake. Her creativity and style were exactly my taste. Speaking of taste, her cakes are sooo delicious. She uses real buttercream and not the shortening kind that tastes so sugary. I would def go with It's Icing on the Cake for a wedding cake. They are a little pricier then the standard bakeries but it is so worth it if you want a cake designer and not a plain old baker.

The wedding cake was absolutely beautiful and exactly what we wanted. I found a picture from an old bridal magazine and with Gina’s help we tweaked it to fit our style. We were so very pleased with the cake, and so was everyone else which was evident from the amount of photographs taken with the cake. From the start of the first appointment up till the end, Gina and her staff made us feel special and treated us with professionalism, answered any questions that we had, and provided excellent customer service, we wanted 3 different flavors in 5 different layers and a unique looking cake, which is exactly what we got!! We received a multitude of compliments from guests about how beautiful and delicious the cake was! We would highly recommend "It’s Icing on the Cake" to anyone looking for an extra special cake. Thank you so much it made our day that much more special, it was definitely a showpiece at the reception.

I made several appointments with my fiance to sample cakes for our November wedding. After trying Cakes by Carolyn and Frida's Bakery, we went to It's Icing on the Cake. Needless to say, I canceled any future appointments after our meeting with the shop's owner, Gina.

After walking into her shop on Central Avenue in Saint Petersburg, we knew we'd found the right baker. There was a plethora of picturesque creations in every direction; each one unique and beautiful.

We sat down, and after being offered a drink to accompany our tasting, got down to business. My fiance and I discussed our wedding, talked head count and told Gina what we were looking for on our big day. Gina explained that she had prepared several different varieties and a few different icing options. The first I tried was a champagne cake with strawberry icing, then some chocolate on chocolate and finally an almond cake with vanilla. We mixed and matched a bit and tried desperately to figure out which one was our favorite.

It was useless. They were all amazing. Instead of a cake, as we had planned, we switched to cupcakes to ensure our guests could experience all of the same flavors for themselves.

Using our color scheme and theme as inspiration, Gina created over 135 stunning cupcakes in various flavor combinations and also a small (yet beautifully decorated) bride-groom cake. Her table setting was beautiful and our guests were amazed - by both her attention to detail and the scrumptious taste of the cupcakes.

Though our wedding is over, and the guests have devoured all of our tasty treats, I know I'll be back to It's Icing on the Cake. (I may even make up reasons just to have cupcake parties) Everything Gina and her staff did for us was amazing and I couldn't have been happier.

If you're looking for a bakery in Saint Petersburg for your wedding cake, you must take a visit to It's Icing on the Cake - you won't regret it.

It was the best wedding decision we made. The cupcakes were tasty and beautiful and it made our wedding unique. I have had several friends tell me that it was the best wedding cake they have ever tasted...and I agree! It was unique and delicious. Thanks Gina, you were great!

If you want a bakery that gives you what you asked for and delivers on time, do NOT choose Gina and It's Icing on the Cake!! Our initial meeting with Gina was good, 8 months prior to the wedding, but when the big day came, she did NOT deliver. The cake flavors were not what we asked for, the cake did not look like the sketches we had made with her, and the cake was delivered 3 hours late. We had to send a valet to go pick it up, but her cake people finally arrived. When we went to Gina after the incident, she fought with us about every aspect of the cake and would only refund half of our money- not the full amount. We are extremely diappointed with Gina's service and workmanship, but even more dissapointed that she turned out to be the kind of person who is not willing to admit that she was wrong and wouldn't refund the entire cake balance. The only okay part about our experience with Gina is that the groom's cake she made was decent. Overall, It's Icing on the Cake and especially Gina left a very dissapointing memory for that part of our wedding. We will never use her again and would never reccommend her to anyone. Terrible service!!!

Cake was NOT delivered to the reception until after the bride and groom started their dance. Cake looked less like the drawing presented and the fondant strip around the cake didn't even meet. We have the pictures! It was very disappointing!

The "fake" cake the hotel put out, looked better than the real one. It tasted great, but NOT worth the anxiety of having the hotel staff inform you when you get there for the reception that your daughter's wedding cake did not show.

PLUS, later that evening, the groom's cake-delivered to our home- was very late. It was supposed to be delivered at 4:30 pm. I called and complained that it was not delivered and of how upset I was about the delivery at the hotel and they didn't seem to care. The young man who answered just said, "uh huh." I said "you tell Gina I'm upset!"

They finally delivered to my house at 6:45 pm-15 minutes prior to the start of the after party. Again, taste was great, but VERY POOR CUSTOMER service.

Gina's people knew we were unhappy. I have yet to receive a call or a reason why they couldn't deliver on time.

WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND them and have asked the hotel to also put out the word, as well as the florist.

Although both the wedding cake and groom's cake tasted wonderfully, my husband and I do not think it was worth the price.

Gina from It's Icing on the Cake was truly amazing. Our first visit was comfortable, informative and fun. Yummy too! Each time we spoke, my questions/concerns were answered and I felt extremely at ease. We had a cake topper to cut, which was AMAZING! We cannot wait to have it again on our 1 year. But the main fair was cupcakes! They were elegant and delicious! Our wedding Guests were all restaurant folks, so the quality and taste was extremely important. Gina delivered beyond belief. If you do not use her, you are missing out on amazing treats and perfect memeories! Thanks Gina!!! xoxox

Just got back from having my wedding in St. Petersburg, a couple and my now husband and I decided to do a double wedding/Vow renewal. We both got the same style cake but each in a different color...the other couples cake came beautifully, Mine...not so much. The cakes were delivered to the wrong place and after an hour of searching the hotel we found the cakes sitting out on the concierges desk unattended and warm. No transport boxes were left with the cakes when we told them numerous times this was a beach wedding not a wedding at the resort. It was evident at first glance my cake was rushed and poorly constructed, by the time we got to the beach my entire cake was lop sided and leaning. to make matters worse when we got the the reception the entire cake fell into a heaping gooey mess; while the other couples cake was pristine and beautiful. To add insult to injury both layers of the cake were not even the flavor combinations I ordered (chocolate with Barvarian cream and red velvet with cream cheese) the chocolate layer had rasberry filling which tasted like cough syrup and the red velvet layer tasted nothing like red velvet nor cream cheese) once again the other couples red velvet came out perfect but thier other layer was also wrong it had some kind of strawberry icing. Overall I was humiliated and would never advise someone to use this particular establishment for thier wedding cake unless you want to play russian roullette with you wedding.


In response to your reply; The cake was not sitting in the florida heat; the cake was leaning in the first picture taken upon immediate arrival to the beach...we did photos of the cake first. The person who ordered the cake directed you to deliver the cakes directly to the room per e-mail and phone conversation. You should take responsibility for the god aweful service and craftmanship of your work. The cakes were both in the same conditions; both were transported the same way in the same car; put out at the same time. Yet my cake was absolutely ruined and the other was perfectly fine. There in lies the truth; one cake was made properly with care and one was not. The sad thing about it is this was my one and only wedding....the other cake was for a vow renewal. You know I hope everyone on here will atleast see that you have taken no responsibility for your mistakes with no appologies just excuses. I don't want my money back I just want an appology for your lack of care with my wedding cake.

Hands down the best wedding cake I've ever seen or tasted, and I'm not even a cake person!

I had actually planned on having sorbet shooters at the wedding, but my hubby really wanted cake. He's also a professional chef, so the quality of food was very important to us. I didn't want a traditional cake, I wanted something unique that represented us. I had almost given up until I found Gina at It's Icing on The Cake. She has the beautiful cake candleabras that are STUNNING. My centerpieces were manzanita branches dripping with jewels and small roses, and these jewel convered candleabras complemented the whole design perfectly.

The other concern was my hubby is a chol-oholic, but I'm not a huge sweets person. Gina handles this perfectly! She asked me what I did like, and when I told her my favorite things are champagne and strawberries, she suggested champagne cake with fresh strawberries! Genious! She made the most gorgeous and elegant cake display. We had three candleabras, one with a largeDecadent dark chocolate with chocolate espresso rum bc, carmel bc, and white chocolate amaretto bc, and lots of mini champagne flavored cake with fresh strawberries in a vanilla bc. Words can't describe how unique and stunning these cakes were, and how unbelievably delicious!!!

I know you're supposed to keep a part of your cake and eat it on your one year anniversary, but we kept 5!! and had one last night (we've only been married 2 weeks) because I couldn't resist having another bite!

Hands down the most professional, talented, and delicious cakes. Look no further brides, book with Gina!!

I needed a wedding cake with only 3 weeks notice, and my cake was outstanding! I was so impressed! Beautiful and delicious! And the owner is so understanding and creative, incredibly easy to work with!

Gina from It's Icing on the Cake is amazing. She uses high end ingredients which yield the most delicious products. I had a very simple three tiered wedding cake, but I honestly felt that she went the extra mile to make it special for me. She ordered special pearls to decorate the borders and placed the fresh orchids on the cake for me. Gina also made little cupcakes and chocolate cups filled with fruit so guest could nibble on sweets before the cutting of the cake. She made sure she had a cake stand complemented our decor, and set the cake up beautifully. If you want your wedding cake or any cake for that matter to be memorable Gina is the one to call. She has a lot of passion and pride in her work, and will make sure everything is perfect before she leaves the finished product. She also takes a picture of the cake before she leaves so if there is any mishaps she could replicate the original product. I know if we ever had problems Gina would be right there to fix them, but honestly for my wedding everything went famously. Gina is one vendor that you can truly rely on.


It is funny because originally I just wanted something so simple I said to my now husband, "let's just get Publix cake". He wouldn't let me because he said we needed something more special for our special day. Boy, was I glad I listened to him. We were married about two weeks ago, and I'm still getting complements about how good the cake was. I swear each guest had a slice of each type (one tier was chocolate, and two were a champagne cake with strawberries). We had something you could never get from a grocery store.


Bottom line if you love food as much as I do you will want to pick Gina from It's Icing on the Cake. I can't believe a baker like this exists in St. Petersburg. She is really phenomenal, and is a must for any special event!

I have gotten 2 cakes from It's Icing on the Cake. I got a birthday cake a few months ago and just had a baby shower cake done for my sister. Both times I was highly impressed with not only how the cakes looked, but tasted. I highly recommend It's Icing on the Cake for anyone's special occasion. Gina at Its Icing on the Cake was extremely helpful during my entire wedding planning. On top of providing an exceptional wedding cake, she also provided me with resources and vendors in the Florida area. I had a destination wedding and having someone in the area to help me in the process made things much easier.
My wedding cake was absolutely beautiful. It exceeded my husband and I expectations. Gina met with us and consulted with us via phone and email to make sure that we were always pleased. The cake tasted amazing. I was truly sad when we had ate the last bite because I wanted more.

We used It's Icing on the Cake for our daughter's bridal shower and wedding cakes. The mini cake/cupcakes for the bridal shower were both delicious and adorable! The shower guests all loved the deep chocolate cake and her raspberry cream is just out of this world. The wedding cake was totally beyond our expectations. Gina took the bride and groom's vision and turned it into the focal point of their reception decor. The taste of both both cake flavors were truly amazing and they were just as delicious the next day. Gina and her staff made this one of the easiest aspects of the wedding planning process. I cannot recommend her services enough to anyone looking for a personalized, delicious and beautiful wedding cake.

Gina did an amazing job on our grooms cake and wedding cake! The details of the cakes were unbelievable. Gina at It's Icing on the Cake did a fantastic job of creating our wedding cake. It was absolutely gorgeous and scrumptious. She incorporated everything in her design, drawing inspiration from the flowers I had chosen, the lace from my wedding gown and font and scroll from our invitation.

The beautiful red roses that looked so real and delicate that you almost didn't want to touch them, matched the roses of my bridal bouguet and reception centerpieces. Jim's and my intials were dusted in gold. And, the scrolling pulled it all together. It was definitely a cake with a theme...simple and classic! It was exactly as she had described it at the cake testing, weeks prior to the wedding.

We chose two flavors of cake...decadent chocolate and champagne. The chocolate was no less than it's name. It was truly "decadent." Chocolate is my favorite and so this rich chocolate cake tempered with a hint of mocha and milky chocolate cream between the layers, was a delight to the palate. The "champagne" catered to our guests that aren't necessarily big sweets eaters. It was not overly sweet and it blended well with the creamy strawberry filling. It reminded me more of strawberry short cake....and who doesn't like strawberry short cake?
Until I started planning my own wedding, I never realized how important the wedding cake is to the reception. It's a lot more than just dessert for your guests. It's a symbol! It requires a place of honor. It stands alone. It draws attention. And, that's the way it was for us. We received so many compliments on the cake. Even today, almost three weeks after the wedding, my neighbor was still commenting on how much she enjoyed it.

We just wanted to give a little feedback about the cake we had at our wedding this past weekend. It was absolutely incredible. Every guest had nothing but great things to say about the the cake. Gina has provided artistic cakes for 2 very special family events. For my daughters graduation party, Gina provided a whimsical cake which looked like it was right out of a Dr Seuss book(and it tasted great). For my wife's 50th b'day, Gina whipped up a Louis Vuitton purse cake which fooled all of the attendees at a last minute surprise party.

Gina is a pleasure to work with and has an amazing imagination/artistic ability. I recommend It's Icing on the Cake for weddings & any special event that you are trying to make truly memorable. (I would have given her 10 stars....but it only goes up to 5) Thanks!!

We really went out on a limb here because we never actually met Gina or any Icing on the Cake people. All communication was done via emails and a phone calls because we live across the country, and were having a destination wedding. I have to say, it was the best tasting cake ever (and best looking)!! Our guests loved it. We had a dairy free almond cake with cherry and creme filling, and the design was palm trees with the sun setting lower in each tier. It was awesome. I would highly reccommend her to anyone anytime. Thanks so much for creating something so beautiful and delicious!

The cake was exactly what my daughter requested. Gina was able to duplicate a picture of my daughter's dream cake. We tasted many cakes and It's Icing on the Cake by far had the most favorable and moist cakes. Gina was a delight to work with and made us feel so special. I love the fact that she makes a cake for the bride and groom on their first anniversary so that they do not have to eat cake that is a year old.

It's Icing on the Cake was absolutely amazing! Gina listened to everything that my fiance and I wanted for our wedding cake and it came out beautifully. Our cake had a lot of customizations to it, but Gina made it look uncluttered and simply amazing. As for the taste of the various tiers - absolutely out of this world! The champagne cake was my personal favorite while the red velvet was my fiance's. The chocolate layer that is It's Icing on the Cake's specialty was a huge hit with everyone that tried it! I would definitely recommend Gina and It's Icing on the Cake to anyone looking for a wonderfully custom and affordable cake for any occasion!

What a wonderful experience.. from the tasting to the actual wedding. Everything was delicious! It was exactly what the bride wanted! It's Icing on the Cake is an organic baker that make a variety of tasteful cakes, a huge variety to choose from. We had a hard time deciding which ones to use on our cake. I would highly recommend even if organic is not a requirement!

I know this post is not in line with the other glowing reports posted on this site. I assure you that I am a legitimate dissatisfied client of Gina and It?s Icing On The Cake. My fianc? and I met with Gina two months before to taste and discuss our plans for a Wedding Cake for our reception on November 21st. I will admit that she has some of the best tasting cakes and fillings we found; as a mater of fact that was the primary reason we hired her for the cake. According to what we discussed, and Gina sketched out, we were to have a three tier cake cascading with beach daisies and greenery adorned with ?hand painted chocolate shells.? The cake was ordered and written-up to be delivered at 5:30 PM for our reception that was starting at 6:00PM.

On our wedding day I received a call from Gina around 3:30PM letting us now that she was running a little behind. She also asked, for the 3rd time, for the address of the reception location; which was literally 10 minutes straight from her office. At 6PM our wedding party arrived at the reception location and phoned us to ask were the cake was. At this point as many as 5 people started calling Gina with no response. Two of our guests even drove to her studio looking for her and the cake. At 8PM, when it was time to cut the cake, which was not there, I tried calling Gina again, and again no answer. At that point one of our guests bolted out to Publix Market to get a cake. At 8:20 I and my bride cut into a supermarket cake for our pictures. I did get a message at 8:30 that the cake would be there in 15 minutes; so we asked the photographer to wait. At 9:00PM there was still no cake. The cake arrived at 9:120PM; and what a disappointment. It looked nothing like the sketch or what we discussed. No greenery, store bought sugar sea shells, and daisies that looked like a 3rd grader cut them out.

The reasons offered were not acceptable; she had to repair another cake elsewhere, delivery staff did not follow directions, and her phone battery died. We were offered a partial refund. We want a full refund since the cake came well after the scheduled time, after pictures, and did not resemble what we wanted. Today we have emailed Gina, phoned Gina and have again not heard anything. Maybe her phone battery dies again? We are now filing a claim in Pinellas County Court. I would suggest that you either find another baker, as there are many good ones in the area, or make sure you have an

It's Icing on the Cake made a piece of art of a wedding cake for our wedding. IT WAS GORGEOUS AND DELICIOUS!!!!!

We decided on a beutiful concept of mini cakes on a candelabra. OMG!!!!! The mini cakes looked refined and elegant on the candelabras a true work of art! The most important part is that they tasted heavenly! They were a hit! Everyone was amazed and impressed with the presentation and the superior quality of the cakes, they tasted divine!!

The flower on the small cake was beautiful, the glass detail made it spectacular, more gorgeous than what I had imagined.

There are no words to thank It's Icing on the Cake for their amazing work!!! Gina listened to what we like and our vision of our special day and our cake reflected it 200%.

The cake surpassed my expectations. It was beautiful and delicious. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

I LOVE ORGANIC CUPCAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW, what a difference there is...

I don't know how much a "great" cake really costs other than I know they can be outrageous in price. My husband-to-be and I wanted wedding cupcakes and a giant cupake for us instead. We wanted our "cake" to be more personal so, Gina came up with creating a cake from one of the design aspects of our wedding-a swan! The swan symbolizes something near and dear to my husband & I. We didn't want just any cheesy swan, we wanted it to be elegant & graceful and artsy. Gina and her staff made a BEAUTIFUL giant cupcake into a swan. Who would have thought of such an idea? The swan looked AWESOME. What's even better is that the cupcakes tasted amazing. We chose the organic dark chocoloate with DELICIOUS peppermint buttercream icing. Now, I must say, I don't really like mint or dark chocolate but there is something about organic dark chocolate-it's not insanely too much like other dark chocolates can be. I could literally eat 3 or 4 cupcakes at a time-for me? UNHEARD OF. They are normally too rich. NOT these. Oh, and the peppermint icing?? REALLY!? Yes, REALLY...INSANELY good. These are seriously the BEST cupcakes I've ever had. They were so good I got more made for my husband's birthday this past weekend. I DREAM of these cupcakes now. No, seriously. I do. Go for a tasting if you don't believe me. I sound Gina's (the owner) poster child but really-never met her before this experience. My wedding venue suggested these cupcakes to me and after several other tastings-HANDS DOWN, Gina's won. Thank you Nova535 for setting that one up & thank you Gina & staff. Our guests were raving about our dessert bar (cupcakes and candies) after our wedding. There was only one major bummer...I was bummed to find out there weren't more left over cupcakes for me to eat post wedding. :)

Gina is a very lovely person and easy to work with. My fiance and I left our meeting feeling confident in hiring Gina to make our wedding cake. The cake tasting was delicious and the sketch was beautiful! Our cake arrived as promised on our wedding day, however; it looked terrible. We were so embarrassed. It did not look professionally made at all. We did not order any photos of the wedding cake taken by our fabulous photographer. The worst part of this experience is how much we paid. I did not realize how much we over paid for our cake until I ordered a custom made baby shower cake from another local cake designer today. I recommend that you go to a least 2 cake tastings before making a decision as important as your wedding cake. Don't take ordering your wedding cake lightly. You will be surprised how many people pay attention to the cake and how many pictures you will see in it.

I was absolutely thrilled at how perfectly Gina made this cake, not only was it made to design, but also realistically.The cake had the cameras flashing!!! The taste was out of this world and still moist three days later.........

When my daughter turned 16 this year, I knew I wanted to have a very special cake made for her birthday. She has always LOVED purses, so when I saw some pictures of purse cakes that Gina had made, I knew that I had found the perfect person to make her special cake. Not only did she make a fabulous purse cake for my daughter, but came up with the idea of making a cake replicate her favorite denim Coach purse! She also insisted on delivering it directly to the restaurant where we had the party to make sure that it would be perfect, and it was. The cake was the most amazing looking and tasting cake, and it absolutely "wowed" everyone there!

Gina crafted me a stunning organic baby shower cake for my sister-in-law's organic baby shower. It not only looked gorgeous but was also a very delicious treat. Since the mommy-to-be does not eat sugar, Gina even managed to sweeten it with agave syrup and it tasted delicously. I received numerous compliments on the cake from all shower guests and the mommy-to-be was overwhelmed. She couldn't believe it was all organic and sweetened with agave syrup.In fact, she didn't even share the leftovers with others, she took the rest of the cake home herself.

I have ordered specialty cakes from It's The Icing On The Cake on two different occasions, and they were both fabulous. First, Gina's cakes are made from scratch and they taste DELICIOUS! The buttercream frosting is unbelievable. The first event was for my husband's 50th birthday party at the St. Pete Shuffleboard Club. Gina made a cake that looked like a shuffleboard - complete with green benches, shuffleboard sticks and pucks. I wasn't sure how she was going to make a shuffleboard cake look fun, but she did it! My husband loves chocolate and peanut butter, so the cake was dark chocolate with peanut butter mousse filling. Yummy! The second cake was a suprise wedding cake we gave to our friends as a gift. They got engaged at the Great Wall of China, and we wanted to suprise them with a Great Wall of China cake. There was a lot on the line here, considering the bride and groom trusted us to supply them with a "suprise" cake that they had no input on. Again, this cake was unbelievable! The groom actually cried when he saw it. The reaction we got from the bride, groom and all the guests was exactly what we wanted. This was a Red Velvet cake (a request from the groom), and it tasted amazing. I would recommend Gina in a heartbeat. She is easy to work with, is a great listener, and has a gift of being able to make unique and tasty cakes. I can't wait for the next occasion!
