Karla is such a gem! She did my hair and makeup for my wedding day and had such an amazing team to work on my bridesmaids. I got so many compliments for my makeup and hair on my wedding day but I especially loved it.
Planning my wedding has been one of the greatest yet busiest times of my life. When I was in the search of hair and make up, I was very cautious to book someone professional, trustworthy and who could deliver quality service. Karla was all of the above! I loved how she was so patient and willing to work with all of my requests and also guided me through every step whether it was while I was booking with her or during the actual services. I don't wear much makeup so I was a bit worried about the outcome especially doing a smokey eye but it came out perfect! I even booked her to do my hair and makeup for the holidays.
I would definitely recommend her!

I had an amazing opportunity to work with and meet KARLA and she truly is a doll. She communicates well with the photographer and designer to make sure that the makeup is exactly the way that they want. She also has an impeccable vision that helps the photographer understand and see her idea.
She's extremely friendly and experienced. She can do any kind of look that you need and is extremely professional to work with. She's been in the industry and knows exactly what she wants in life. She can do ALL types of make-up and extremely beautiful curls and up-do's. She's amazing at what she does and I know that J'Adore Artistry will do well!
I highly recommend Karla for all your needs because she is a joy to work with. I know for a fact that you will be truly satisfied and enjoy the experience like everyone else on here did!

Karla did my hair and make-up for my wedding day. I just love it! I found her less than 1 month before my wedding day and we didn't really discuss a lot before the trial. But she's quick to get the look I want and it is a pleasure working with her. I will definitely recommend her.

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Karla Emm and Maritza for my wedding hair trial, wedding hair & make-up, and bridesmaids hair.
I looked up ratings to find the perfect hair/makeup stylist for me and came across J'Adore. Karla was very responsive and timely when I had any question or when I wanted to share my ideas. I sent her do many emails and she was always very kind and prompt to respond.
I had my hair trial 1 day before my wedding and I'm glad I did. It was nice to meet the girls that were going to make me beautiful for my big day. They came to my hotel so I felt very comfortable.
On the day of my wedding, They were on time and ready to go. My make-up was awesome and stayed on all night! Everyone commented on my hair and loved it. So did I! My bridesmaids were happy and looked perfect. I would highly reccomend J'Adore, especially Karla for hair and Maritza for make-up. In addition to being talented, these girls are soooo sweet and very easy to work with. I am one happy bride:)

Karla was amazing! Hair and makeup was done exactly the way I wanted it and lasted all day despite the wind and rain. She had wonderful skills and fast working hands. However, she was over 30 minutes late to my appointment, which made me very nervous, but she worked quickly and still managed to finish by the time I needed to leave the house. I would recommend her but I would just make sure you give yourself ample time on your day for hair and makeup services, just in case of any kind of delay.

Q. What does a trial consultation consist of?
A. We will always come to you unless otherwise requested. The first step is to work with your skin tone to find the perfect shade of foundation, eye, cheek and lip colors. The second step is to find a hair style and create a look that best suits you.. Sample pictures of what you like are always welcome and are very helpful. We may take a photograph of your look so you will have an idea of how you will appear in your professional portraits. This trial run is the perfect opportunity to play with color until you are completely satisfied with what you see. The Trial Run is completed once you are completely satisfied with your desired look.
Q. Is there a charge for a trial consultation?
A. Yes, however the trial consultation is always optional and definitely recommended. It will help tremendously in regards to time on the day of your wedding to be completely sure of what you want beforehand.
•For hair only the trial session ranges from $75 (depending on the length of hair and difficulty of the style).
•For make-up only the trial session is $75
•For hair and makeup the trial session is $125
Q. Do you offer hair and makeup for bridal portraits?
A. Absolutely. We can come to you to get you fully ready and our team is also willing to accompany you to the photographers studio or on location to the shoot to make sure that you stay looking fresh throughout the entire process. (Prices for bridal sessions vary based on total amount of time spent)
Q. What will the actual wedding day consist of?
A. Travel to the location of your choice (home, hotel, church, or other venue). We recommend that you begin getting ready as early as possible so that you can proceed with portraits and other obligations that will require your time. We can begin with either the bride or the wedding party. This decision is completely yours to make. Our goal is to ensure that you are comfortable and that things flow smoothly for your big day. We will do hair and makeup simultaneously so that the process is done in a timely fashion.
•Bridal wedding day make-up is $150
•Bridal wedding day hair ranges from $150 (depending on length and style)
•Bridal wedding day hair and makeup ranges from $225 (depending on length and style)
•Wedding party hair is $75
•Wedding party make-up is $75
* For Bridal Parties, an advanced notice would be required of how many and desired looks.
Q. What is your payment policy?
A. As any other on-location stylists, we do fill up as early as a year in advance, a 50% deposit is asked in order to hold the date of your wedding. This can be paid any time between booking your trial run and your bridal portraits. The remaining balance is due either 24 hours before, or on the day of the event. For professional purposes, we do prefer payment to be provided discreetly in a form of check, money order, by credit or debit card before or after services.
We can receive deposits at a later date, however we cannot guarantee that your wedding date will still be available.
Q. Do you travel outside the San Jose, CA area?
A. Yes. There will be a fee for travel based on the distance. The fee is of $0.50 per mile outside of the San Jose Area unless bridal package is requested. This fee will be due at the time of your deposit.
Q. Do you do Destination Weddings?
A. Yes. There are certain packages that are built around your desires for your special event. The package will be based on services requested, how big the bridal party is, budget, where the destination location will be and travel costs. Please inquire within.
Q. Are the bride and wedding party members required to get both hair and make-up?
A. No. It is definitely not required for anyone to purchase both services. It is a matter of preference. By the time you give your deposit, its important that you communicate with me the number of total people and what service(s) they will be needing, as the deposit is non-refundable.
