I contacted J.A. Alexandra about their “wedding weekend” package only five weeks before my wedding. They were a lifesaver––I wish I had contacted them sooner!
Julie was wonderful to work with from day one – she listened carefully to everything I had already planned and asked all the right questions so that nothing was overlooked in the end. She was also more than willing to tailor the package to cater to my specific needs––something not found everywhere.
Thanks to Julie and her team, everything flowed smoothly. (They even spent 20 minutes on their hands and knees blotting my train to remove some dirty smudges before the ceremony began. It rained, but my dress was spotless!)
They paid attention to every last detail so that I didn’t have to. I was able to relax and enjoy our big day. I really don’t know what I would have done without them!

Although we live in Los Angeles, we had no reservations about hiring Indy-based J.A. Alexandra for our Malibu wedding. It was lovely to work with the mother/daughter team. Julie and Alicia are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and professional. Both ladies have impeccable sense of style and great ideas. In addition to many reassuring phone calls, Alicia flew out to LA months prior to help me select a florist, view the venue and help with décor and dress selections.
Everything ran smoothly on our big day. Julie took care of us, coordinated with the vendors and kept us on track. She even packed everything up for us and put it in our car at the end of the night. Julie and Alicia were a pleasure to work with. They are a mother-daughter team and they really complement each other. We met 5 or 6 times before the wedding to make sure we were on pace. They provided excellent consultation during each phase and gave great advice on planning all the details of a wedding.
They were incredible on the day of the wedding! As the bride, I didn't want to spend the day worrying about everything getting done. There was so much that went on behind the scenes, but honestly, I didn't even think about all of the little details because I felt totally confident that everything was being taken care of. They provided me the luxury of just sitting back, enjoying the day and taking in every moment, which is how it should be. They did everything from setting up centerpieces, to putting favors at each seat, to helping to bustle my dress (which was a very intricate design), to keeping the 24 members of the wedding party corralled, to going to the hotel to coordinate the shuttle service (just to name a few), as well as making sure everything went off without a hitch. The wedding coordinator at our venue was rude and snarky and really just a nightmare to work with, but J & A maintained poise and grace during any adverse situations with her. Their class translated into their work, across the board. They helped to make my wedding the elegant and fun affair that I had envisioned.
They went above and beyond and I truly do not know what we would have done without them. They had a big hand in making the day so special for me. I would HIGHLY recommend J.A. Alexandra for anyone looking for a wedding planner!
