Jackie Tamas Events

We hired Jackie for Day-Of Coordination (DOC), but in her package it's more like month-of coordination! She took care of everything from the chair setup at the ceremony to getting our gifts safely into the trunk of my parent's car after the reception. There were a few vendors we didn't think of - like hiring someone to play at our ceremony - and Jackie made it easy to find someone that fit with our style AND our budget. The best thing about working with her is that she has this personality that you know you can't shake her. If something is really wrong you can tell her and she won't freak. For example, my mother forgot to get her dress off the plane so she didn't have ANYTHING to wear for our ceremony. YIKES! It took Jackie less than 10 minutes to find a solutions, which included calling in a favor from a dress shop to let my mom borrow a dress for the day. The best part: my mom actually liked this BETTER than what she was planning on wearing. Jackie is fast on her feet and kept my wedding day perfect, just like I planned.

My husband and I have known Jackie through our church for a few years now. I can tell you first hand that her passion for weddings is not something that she 'fakes.' Before we even got engaged, Jon and I loved listening to how excited Jackie would get when telling us stories about her clients and how their wedding day was so special.

Naturally, when we got engaged, we wanted Jackie to be involved... little did I know, she already was! About a month after Jon pulled off an amazing proposal on the beach with black lava rocks spelling out, "Will you marry me, Jen?" did I find out that Jon had been talking with Jackie for weeks about how to make the proposal romantic. She was helping us before I even knew it!

During the planning, our families tried to get involved and change the things that were important to us. Any time we started to get upset by this, all it took was a call to Jackie and she helped calm us right down. She was never without ideas of ways to keep everyone feeling involved but still keeping this day exactly how WE wanted it. (No small feat if you know our families!) Weekends, weeknights after 10, anytime we called her she was always ready to listen and to help.

Then came the wedding. Jackie had a huge NFL client the day before our wedding, but she still kept us feeling like the only couple in the world. Even when I told her that I just realized that my mom never ordered the leis -- All 19 of them! She called her contacts, got me exactly the flowers I wanted, and even managed to get me her wholesale discount THE DAY BEFORE MY WEDDING! Instead of charging more, Jackie got us to pay LESS! This is just one example of how she not only saved us stress, but saved us *tons* of money.

I can really tell you that I would not have been able to do all of this without her. Jackie would be a great investment for anyone planning a wedding. And the fact that she loves doing this... you'll feel that. I definitely recommend her!!!!

Jackie was absolutely marvelous! Her hard work, creativity, diligence and always amazing positive attitude made our wedding all that we wanted it to be - including 100% stress free. She is truly amazing and any bride and groom are lucky to have her as part of their wedding. We cannot possibly thank her enough!

Jackie Tamas is simply amazing! She took all the stress out of our wedding plans. Every time I would call her worrying about some aspect of the wedding she would calmly tell me everything was already taken care of, and then she would walk me through every step of my question. Jackie was always a step ahead of us by anticipating every one of our needs. She had excellent ideas and even went above and beyond by surprising us with special touches. She was extremely knowledgeable of all the different vendors we asked about and never pushed us into using any particular company. I don't know what we would have done without Jackie. She took would could have been an extremely stressful day and made it the wedding of our dreams!

I cannot get over how much Jackie knew about Catholic wedding! I had spent hours on Google trying to find information. One call to her and I had all the answers I was looking for and Jackie even e-mailed me the right paperwork... all before I even hired her! I knew I could trust her to make the day perfect. She really knows her stuff.

According to my wife and my assistant, I hear I can be quite demanding. Having Jackie on our wedding team was like having one of my staff members dedicated exclusively to the wedding plans. Every e-mail was responded to quickly, and she even gave me some shopping advice for my bride. My wife and I both appreciated her help and excellent service. With her attention to detail and professionalism I would gladly hire her to work for my company if she were here in Canada. I had high expectations, and she certainly exceeded them.

Jackie returned our call within minutes of us sending an e-mail for more info, and that set the tone for our entire relationship with her. Any time we needed anything she had the answer or knew where to get it. She knows the people and the places of this island well. Before we even hired her she gave us so much information and guidance! She really made us feel at ease and helped us with anything we had questions about. Everything was perfect, and we know it was because of Jackie. If you are getting married on Maui, is the ONLY person you should talk to. Then you'll know!

At first my husband didn't see any reason to hire a coordinator. But after his first interrogation/phone call with her, he got it. The money she saved us on so many elements more than covered the cost of her services. But even better, she gave us the peace of mind from knowing we had someone on our side thousands of miles away.

I only hired her for the ceremony, but I should have hired her for the reception, too, because there was more to it than I originally realized. Even thought I hadn't paid her, she did a lot of work for the reception when she saw that I was getting stressed out. She didn't charge us for this. Having her there to keep the vendors in line allowed me to enjoy my wedding day. She did so many things that were out of the scope of her job (like hemming a flower girl dress by hand the morning of the wedding) and pulling out a stain stick when my Dad spilled something on his shirt. She really had everything covered. I cannot say thank you enough for all that she did.

I had no idea on where to begin planning our dream of an intimate and private ceremony on a beach while living the desert. After searching on the Internet looking for someone I felt comfortable with to make our dream a reality I came across First Class Weddings and they put me in contact with Jacqueline Tamas. From our very first conversation to our last she made us feel like her most important client. We explained what kind of ceremony we wanted, and by the next day our email account was full of ideas and pictures of thing she thought would work for us. I can't even begin to tell you how easy and carefree planning our wedding was for my husband and I.
Jackie is an incredible wedding planner; you would truly be blessed to have her plan your special day.

I don't even know where to begin! From the first phone call Jackie and I hit it off. I really felt like she wanted to help me, which was unique because I felt like some of the other coordinators were trying to "sell" me the entire time were talking. Jackie had great ideas through out the process, and always kept a close eye on the bottom line (my Dad loved that!). She introduced us to great contacts and vendors all over the island. It was clear she knew her stuff!

Another thing that really made our day special was how Jackie made a point to make a fuss over my grandmother and grandfather (both have some trouble getting around) and treated them as total VIP's the entire day of the wedding: getting them drinks, driving them around on a "personal tour" on the golf cart (our plan so that they wouldn't have to walk too much), and bringing each key vendor over so they would be personally introduced and always had someone to talk with. They loved the special attention, and it wasn't over the top at all -- just perfect.

Overall, anything that was special to us became a priority to her. Any time I had a question (the entire year of planning) she would drop everything and always put my mind at ease. If she didn't know the answer, she would call someone right away to get it and always got back to me fast - in writing - so I knew the answers before I could panic. She even managed to get upgrades for us AND both of our parents through her contacts at the hotel. They loved this surprise! By the end of the wedding, she was more than a wedding planner. She's an honorary member of both our families. Any bride would be lucky to work with her.

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience. From the first time I talked to Jackie, everything just clicked. She was perfect. Even when my Mom called and tired to change the colors for the wedding (Yeah, thanks mom!!!) Jackie found a way to difuse the situation without upsetting my Mom, but she stood up for me and what I wanted in a gentle way that allowed Mom to think it was her idea. Smooth!

Everyone in our wedding and our families have nothing but raves for everything Jackie had a hand in. The warmth of her personality made me feel like I could ask her for anything in the world and she would have found a way to make it happen. Her ideas and eye for design really pulled things together. And Dad even loved her for keeping to our budget - always - while still finding a way to creatively put in everything I wanted. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
