Beautiful dresses and excellent customer service!
Really nice and helpful ladies. Bought my dress during their week long Black Friday sale. Great deal and they kept my dress until I needed to pick it up.
I went into this quaint shop by myself (I was visiting from out of town) and found them very personable. They listened to what I wanted and away we went.
I really liked several things:
*They didn't try to sell me something that looked ho-hum on me and really honored my budget. The dress I got was exceptional on me and was less than my budget was. You could tell they felt that was the dress for me as well and were more interested in getting me the perfect one for me.
*Because I was from out of state, they did the sizing and pinning right then.
*They were flexible with the fitting and in the end someone had to fly it up to me because I had badly injured my ankle and could not fly. (Yes, I was in a brace for part of my wedding day.) They made sure he understood how to treat it and how to make it through the plane ride. And the tailor work was very well done.
I absolutely LOVED my dress! I was able to buy it off the rack for an amazing value. Mindy, the owner, is amazing. Easy to work with and accommodating. Mindy does the alterations herself, which was a nice bonus. The only bummer is that my train was pretty long and the bustle broke halfway through the night- probably from too much dancing. I received so many compliments from my guests, a few asked me where I got it and wanted to get pictures just of the dress. I've never felt so beautiful! I was also able to rent my veil from them as well, which was a nice bonus.
I got my Pronovias wedding dress here, and it was absolutely stunning. I cannot believe how many compliments I got, even my family said out of all the weddings they had been to, my dress was the most beautiful they had seen. Not only is this because Pronovias just makes amazingly beautiful dresses, but because Mindy has a great eye for accessories. I got my veil, sash and earrings from mindy. They were all gorgeous and complimented my dress so well. She also did alterations for my dress, which were reasonably priced and well done. Out of all the bridal salons I went to, Mindy had by far the best selection and most beautiful dresses. She also has a good price range. Don't waste your time at other salons, this is the best selection and Mindy knows how to put the final touches on your wedding outfit to make it perfect.
What can I say? Mindy is AMAZING!!! I pruchased my dress, all 7 bridesmaid dresses and had my alterations here. Oh, and I purchased a BEAUTIFUL veil and sash here as well. Mindy was wonderful, she has this amazing eye and can add little sashes or flowers to make your dress unique. She was extrememly patient and wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend her to any bride! Not to mention... she spent hours altering my dress to make it look and fit perfectly- her dedication was amazing and I appreciate her sooo much!!
I searched & searched & searched for the perfect dress for me; you see I'm a curvy girl and most bridal shops only have samples for the tiny bodies but I found the gown of my dreams and it didn't cost me the bank. The owner is personal & sweet. Mindy and her staff worked with me from beginning to end. I was extremely pleased and calm through the whole process. Her shop is small but they can get whatever you want and the alterations are amazing & professional. Don't sleep on this shop. Your memorable day will be the talk of the town when you pick your dress from Jaclyn's Bridal.
I received SO many compliments on my dress and entire outfit. I had a vintage-inspired dress and accessories, and all of Mindy's recommendations were amazing. Believe it or not, Mindy actually knew what dress I would choose, before I even got there. My mom got there before me, and told Mindy what I was looking for, and she found it then and there. She was able to have my dress altered to add straps to it to give it that vintage look. The price was very affordable. I love Jaclyn's! We also got our spectacular bridesmaid's dresses there as well as my sister's wedding dress a few years ago. I recommend this place to everyone!!!!!
I came to Jaclyn's Bridal after VERY stupidly purchasing a dress from another local bridal shop. Suffice to say, the other shop did NOT order the dress correctly, so I turned to Mindy and her team to get my WAY too short dress in shape for our wedding. Not only did my dress turn out beautifully, but Mindy and her staff treated me with great kindness and compassion (yes, I was a crying bride when I first brought the dress in) and I truly felt they were a Godsend!
I would highly recommend them to anyone on the hunt for the perfect gown.
I purchased my wedding dress in California where I live. My wedding was in Philadelphia. I can not tell you how much I LOVE my bridal shop where I bought my dress! I only wish that I had purchased my bridesmaids dresses through her as well. Mindy is so kind and talented! She is an excellent businesswoman and really takes care of her clients! She wants them to look beautiful and really gives her honest opinion. I also learned that she is so talented! She has an eye for fashion and tweaked my dress to be EXACTLY what I wanted it to be! I wouldn't change anything about my experience with Mindy and the ladies at Jaclyn's Bridal! They are fantastic!
The ladies at Jaclyn's are so sweet and helpful. I was always greeted with s smile. I loved that no one was hovering over me while i was there. They offered just enough help to really make the decision mine. I got a beautful casablanca dress that fit perfectly.
I loved working with Jaclyn's Bridals. The team there is so professional and easy to work with. They were an unexpected stop on my journey to find my wedding dress - I called them because I was in the area (visiting from NYC) and they were closing in 30 minutes. They didn't have an appointment open but told me and my mom to come on in! Lone behold I found my dream dress and bought it that day. Mindy, the store owner, is wonderful. She was so easy to work with and always gave me her honest opinion. I would highly recommend Jaclyn's Bridals - you will not be disappointed!
Excellent service. My dress made me feel and look incredible! The employees were SO helpful and made my experience such a pleasure. Also they tailored my dress perfectly and have a beautiful selection of made to order veils, hand beaded belts, and hair accessories.
This was the second place I went to look at dresses, the first being David's Bridal. I was definitely looking for a bargain and this dress shop was recommended to me by a coworker. I made an appointment and when we got there no one greeted us at the counter. We naturally just started looking around at the dresses. When we saw someone I told them we had an appointment and she told us to grab the dresses we liked and then she'd put them in the fitting room. I'm glad I had two of my bridesmaids there because there was no help in the fitting room. However, with that being said I found the perfect dress which also happened to be discontinued so I got it for a third of the cost. After we had started trying on dresses the staff became a bit more friendly and helpful. My only advice here is to bring someone to help you try on the dresses. And just a sidenote you can also rent gowns and veils here which was what had me drawn in to begin with!
What a gem this store is. The team there has beautiful dresses, and seriosuly gives you special treatment when you enter. Forget about David's bridal and just come here. You will surely find your dream gown. These ladies have it totally together, and made sure every detail was perfect. There were no alterations, since the dress could not be altered due to detail, but it was perfect from the start, and they even pressed the dress and made it unbelieveable. Everyone could not believe the beauty of the dress - and I could not believe the markeddown price. I never dreamed I could afford a dress as beautful as mine. MUST GO!!!!
I went to Jaclyns based on another PWers recommendation. I was tired of seeing the same old gowns over and over and I was told that Jaclyn's had a pretty nice selection. I had had great success with visiting shops during the week so I made an appointment for mid-week mid-day to avoid weekend madness. I arrived early to the appointment so it took them a minute to greet me when I got there. The consultant asked me what I wanted and I showed her pictures and she basically pointed me to their walls of dresses. The shop itself is pretty small and didn’t have the selection I had seen elsewhere but they did carry some new and interesting designers that I hadn’t heard of before like Bel Aire.
I was particularly interested in one dress, which the consultant set aside in a room for me. While I was looking for dresses, another bride showed up asking to move up her appointment time since she was already there. They were empty so she was allowed to come in with her mini entourage. The other bride mentioned that she was looking to actually buy a past favorite, so with a potential sale looming I was pretty much discarded after that. I don’t blame them for going after the bride that was actually going to buy something, but I would’ve appreciated that they called someone else from the back to help me. After a little while, I asked if I could try on the dresses I had set aside and someone from the back was finally called out to help me.
The lady was nice enough and did her best to clip me into the dresses but she didn’t do a good enough job to help me get a better idea of what they looked like. I realize that it’s hard to make a size 10 sample fit a size 2 girl perfectly but at other shops they seemed to make a better effort. I did appreciate that they had mirrors in the dressing room areas and that they allowed you to take all the pictures you wanted. I also liked that they kept the tags on the dresses and told you what they were and priced them out for you at the end of your visit. The new consultant found some nice veils for me to try on with certain dresses and offered some good advice and comments on the gowns. I didn't end up finding anything that was worth a follow-up visit.
Overall, I would only recommend the shop if you already live in the Santa Ana area. It’s small and the help and selection isn’t as nice as other places. It does get bonus points for being near the South Coast Plaza though so at least you can shop at the mall while you're down there. :)
I was very pleased with the service I received at Jaclyn's Bridal. I understand that buying a dress is a big event, and a lot of money is usually at stake. I felt that the staff at Jaclyn's were responsive but not fawning, courteous but not snobby, and listened to my indecision without judging. Not everyone's style is the same, and others might want a more hands-on sales staff - but I preferred to be left to my own devises until I ask for help. Once I selected the dress, the alterations were done on time and the bustle even stayed attached!!!
Jaclyn's Bridal is THEE place to go to find your wedding dress. They provide you with such knowledgeable and friendly service as well as a great selection. They are also so helpful when it comes to providing input and giving you honest opinions. Some places will tell you anything to sell you a dress, but Jaclyn's Bridal gives it to you straight. Jaclyn's Bridal is definitely a must when looking for your wedding dress.
I could not say enough wonderful things about Jaclyn's Bridal if i tried, it would take me forever! I found the most beautiful dress by AIRE, i purchased it off the rack for an unheard of discount, and i had it tailored there. I fit me like a glove. It was stunning. I also purchased my veil and other hair accessories there by Erica Koesler. I had so many compliments on everything! The staff at Jaclyn's isn't pushy, they don't make you feel like you have to get the most expensive thing, and they are sO helpful! Thanks so much ladies for making my big day a big success!
Jaclyn's Bridal was the first place I went to try on wedding gowns. It was a very pleasant experience. The store is a little smaller, so their selection of gowns is limited, but the ladies who worked there were very nice and helpful. Some of the samples were a bit dingy, but overall the store was clean and cozy.
I had chosen a dress in a Brides magazine that I was sure I wanted. 2 friends recommended Jaclyn's bridal, so after a bad experience at another salon, I went. Mindy is the nicest and most knowledgeable person you will ever meet regarding bridal dresses. Not only did she have the dress I wanted, she helped me choose the right dress after the one I thought I wanted looked horrible on me. I must have gone at least 10 times before I purchased a dress. And Mindy was patient with me. I finally bought the dress of my dreams and did not pay as much as i thought I would. The dress was ready weeks prior to the wedding, so I did not have to worry. I think every bride should have the personal attention I received from Mindy and Jaclyn's.
I went to Jaclyn's on my lunch break since it was so close to my work. I didn't at all expect to find the dress there, but the owner made me an offer I could not refuse. She gave me an advance on her sale that she has annual. It was a really great sale- 75% off!! I got my dress for less than 500 and it was a couture dress valued at 2,000! I really loved the owner's sense of style and professionalism. You could tell immediately that she knew what she was doing and was not just some worker in a bridal store. She's a designer and wonderful seamstress. The cost for my alterations was a little pricy compared to others, but I ended up forking over the money because I knew she knew what she was doing and would not make a mistake. The store is really flexible and nice to go into. I recommend this small, charming bridal boutique. The owner really knows her stuff!
I chose to shop at Jaclyn's after my best friend had a great experience there. I had a WONDERFUL experience with Jaclyn's. My dress, bridesmaids' dresses, and jewelry were purchased at Jaclyn's, and I highly recommend them.
When I began looking for my dress, I found it in another boutique. I decided to try Jaclyn's for a designer trunk show but showed up on the wrong day! The staff took it upon them to find the dress I was looking for and offer it to me at a much more reasonable price. The one catch was, I just found out that I was pregnant and would have to be fitted at the last minute as the baby was due just 3 weeks before the wedding! They were so friendly and understanding, when my dress came in, they waited until the baby was born and about a week later did my fitting. I was so afraid I wouldn't make it in the dress on the big day, but just one and a half weeks later, there I was with my fully altered dress that fit like a glove. They really took the time and energy to accommodate my situation and make sure that I was taken care of perfectly! When it came down to the final touches, I even got a great deal on a last minute decision to get a veil! Thanks so much ladies!
I went to Jaclyn’s Bridal in Orange County, CA to have my wedding gown altered & pressed. This simple request turned into a wedding nightmare. Please read and learn from my mistakes.
Jaclyn's Bridal promised to have my wedding gown alterations and pressing done one week before my wedding. Apparently their sewing machine broke, so they didn't have the gown ready until 2 days before the wedding! They didn't even offer to deliver it to me. I should have demanded delivery.
Once we finally had the gown we were horrified to find it was terribly wrinkled, and some repairs hadn't been made that I had specifically asked for! I was very upset because I trusted them, and I couldn't believe my gown was in such horrible shape with less than 2 days until the wedding. I felt hopeless because there was no time to make Jaclyn's Bridal fix their mistakes. My friend had picked up the gown and drove 60 miles to bring it to me at the wedding location. There was no time to take it back when the rehearsal and festivities were to begin the next morning!
As we looked at the horrible condition of my gown, my family noticed I was becoming extremely upset and told me to go home while they took care of everything. After I left, the situation got much worse, but I didn't know until recently because they didn't want to upset me even more before the wedding. Not only was the gown wrinkled with neglected repairs, but my veil was all tangled in the beading of the gown! There's so much more…
The most baffling part is that they permanently sewed the bustles through all layers of the gown! How could a professional bridal shop try to get away with sewing permanent bustles!? The whole point of the bustles is so the bride can walk down the isle with the train flat behind her, and tie up the bustle for the reception. Because of Jaclyn’s Bridal, I almost had to walk down the aisle wearing my $3,000 gown in the bustled position! I still can't believe they got away with this negligence!
My Mom ended up carefully removing Jaclyn's Bridal's permanent bustles (which were also crooked!) and sewed new tie-up bustles. Thanks to my Mom’s work, I was able to walk down the aisle with my train behind me.
At one of my earlier fittings, I noticed the hemline had some large kinks in it, and I requested they be fixed. They never fixed it! So my family tried to flatten the kinks with steam and then with an iron. It turned out that the cause of the kinks was sloppy stitching. So my Mom also re-stitched the hemline. In doing so, she found that the bottom of the gown was dirty! What did Jaclyn's Bridal do to my gown to make it so dirty?! Did someone wear it?!
The worst part is that my friends and family spent many late hours working on the gown on the two nights before the wedding. I had organized everything so they wouldn't have to do any work and could just relax and enjoy the pre-wedding events. Instead they were overworked and overstressed, and it's all Jaclyn's Bridal's fault.
Nothing can give back what my family lost because of Jaclyn’s Bridal’s mistakes. When I requested a full refund of $550, they refused. By sharing my story, I hope to prevent other brides from getting into a similar mess by hiring Jaclyn's Bridal.
Staff here is so friendly to work with! They did an amazing job altering my dress and making it fit me perfectly. Everything (my dress and bridesmaid dresses) arrived on time and were ready WAY before the wedding! They have a great selection as well!
I had the best shopping experience for my wedding dress here. It's boutiquey, but low key and small, and they carry a fantastic selection of well kept and maintained sample gowns in all price ranges. The owner, Mindy, was there that morning, and her attention and assistance made all the difference in my purchasing decision. Her observations about the style and cut of certain dresses and how they may or may not enhance or overwhelm my body type (small, very petite) were the most thorough and well-articulated out of the 6 bridal stores I visited that weekend. I didn't much care for the staged regimens at the other dress shoppes, where I felt herded and somewhat pushed and pressured to purchase. At Jaclyn's, I felt entirely at ease. And, yes, we did end up purchasing _the dress_ here. More to come on fittings and final delivery...
I got everything from this vendor; dress, shoes, bridesmaid dresses, garter, veil, jewelry, and hair piece. They are great and know what they are doing.
After going to five other bridal appointments at different bridal stores, I finally found the perfect dress at Jaclyn's Bridal. Mindy, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable, has wonderful taste and knows exactly how to dress a modern bride.
I was looking for silhouettes other than the ball gown style and she had a wonderful selection. The store is intimate with a cozy boutique feel. Again, Mindy has great taste and you can tell that she only carries the dresses that she finds are the most interesting, tasteful and beautiful. I believe she can also order dresses from magazines that she doesn't have in stock.
Mindy went above and beyond and she customized my gown with beautiful, designer lace to make the cleavage area less noticeable and she added a subtle train onto the back to give my simple, beach dress some more interest. The alterations were flawless. I also bought a beautiful brooch and bracelet there (and I would have never expected to get my jewelry at a bridal shop but she has a great eye and really pulled the whole look together for me beautifully).
You can see my dress and happy day in the REAL WEDDINGS section of this website (it's the "Megan + Ryan" wedding in Malibu, CA).
My $2,600 total above includes the dress, lace and train, alterations and jewelry.
