I have worked around many wedding photographers for years and have never come across someone like James. He is outstanding. He accommodated all of our requests, he was more than patient with our guests, and was quick to respond to any and all of our questions more quickly than any of our other vendors. Our guests raved about his services...especially the live photo booth. We are happy to recommend him to anyone on any day!

I can't say enough about how much fun we had with James as our photographer, he spent all day with us, first meeting the guys at noon at the hotel we were getting ready at, then coming to our room to take some candid photos of us girls getting ready, he was with us every second of our day, and didn't leave the reception till the party was over (~11pm)! I had known James prior to meeting him about photographing our special day, which made it so easy to work with him, he was professional and also knew just want to say to get some laughs out of us! Also, I HIGHLY recommend getting the photobooth he offers! Our guests have not stopped telling us how fun it was to have the photobooth, and our photobooth pictures were online in 2 days for our guests to view! We had props and there wasn't a time it was empty! James' assistant for the day (K.C.) was also such a sweetheart and very helpful, she was snapping away as well! Your wedding photos are the one thing that you can cherish many many years after your special day is over, do not sacrifice quality for quantity/price! James is a great value for incredible work that is professional and the quality you deserve on your wedding day!

We could not have been happier with James in any way. We loved his past work and when we met him we loved his personality. Although we haven't seen our wedding photos yet (our wedding was just over a week ago), he took beautiful engagement photos for us and he was a delight to work with on the day of our wedding. Our friends had such a good time with him and the photobooth he set up that they all asked if we could just keep him around :)

I truly don't think we could have had a better photographer. James was very professional, funny, and easy to work with. Because we got married about 8 hrs. away from home, we relied on email a great deal to make plans for the wedding. James was very quick in responding to any questions we had. He was also accommodating to any needs we had. For example, I told him once that it was important for me to have pics of my grandparents and I can't tell you the beautiful shots he got. My husband is a challenge in front of a camera and James' relaxed funny personality made my husband very comfortable. I could go on and on about how wonderful he was to work with! I recommend his work to anyone looking for a photographer to capture the feel of the night!

James was absolutely amazing. Not only the day of the wedding was he incredible and went above an beyond, he took the time to really get to know my husband and I. We are from out of town and he would often email to see when we were coming into town. When possible we would just meet him for coffee or a beer. I made the day of the wedding perfect because I felt like we were friends and it made me so much more comfortable.

He truly thinks out side of the box when it comes to the photographs and where these are shot. He does some amazing work and makes it so much fun. It was a true pleasure working with James. I seriously cannot say enough about the person and the work that he does. Thank you for everything James!

James was the best! By the time the wedding came, we were friends! He made us feel very comfortable and he was so excited to be there for us and our families. He was extremely professional and was always very quick to get back to me about questions/concerns I had for the big day.

He also has a very creative approach to taking pictures. His pictures are more than the bridal party standing in a row! Funny shots! Great action shots!

We are thrilled with the results of our wedding photos from James. We can't say one bad thing about him. Seriously. We sent him a postcard from our honeymoon and will send him a Christmas card too! Great man. Use him.

James is the man. He orchestrated our wedding photography with efficiency and class. His charisma kept everyone interested in the scenes he shot and the results were stunning.

James was very creative with using the time we had to get awesome lakeside shots before the sun went down, and was respectful with our tight timeline throughout the evening.

Ok, after reading all the good things about James, I have to share our own experience with him, so when people check out his service, they can make fair judgement. First of all, I want to say, James is a nice person, he is our photographer for our wedding. He seems professional, and easy to communicate, especially it was abit raining early when we went out to take some pictures before our ceremony, he's pretty nice and everything in the ceremony went perfect. However, everything is kind of changed after that day...

So, here is the story, soon after our wedding, Jame put an picture he took on our wedding day on his fb to show us one great example of our wedding pictures, and that's the picture I like the best, he made it looks perfect after editing. We were so happy about it, and hoping that we could get an great set of wedding pictures from him. Later on, he send us an email saying that he wants to submit some of our wedding pictures to an wedding photo webpage for a competition, again, inspired us that our pictures would be so great. After that, everything changed, he seems totally forget about it, we waited for 4 months, still didn't hear anything from him. I wanted to send him an reminder, but my wife was kind afraid that if we push him too hard, he would do it in a rush... so we just kept waiting, and waiting, and finally we got our pictures after 4 months. But that's not the worst thing, when we got our pictures, we were shocked! The pictures doesn't seem being edited much, they were just like copied out from camera. I compared the picture he put on fb, and even that one looks much better than the same one we got. The color was much vivid. So we explained our concern and asked him whether he can re-edit some of the pictures, at least those one we like the most. However, after another 2 months waiting, we got our picture back, but not with any improvement. We were so disappointed, my wife didn't even want to ask him again. So basically, with 6 months waiting, all we got are just some pictures our friend could even take with a good camera. Actually, pictures from one of our friends looks much better than that.

I normally don't write reviews, even when I bought something bad, but this time I feel we has been cheated, on the most important pictures in our life, with an pretty expensive price! All these nice fb pictures, blog competitions stuff was just he wants to show he is good, he has the ability to take good pictures, but whether that's what you get at the end, it's another thing. And unfortunately, that's the only thing matter to us! Yes, he seems a nice guy, and did a good job on our wedding day. But if he can't take the responsibility to finish his job after wedding day, at least to some of his customers, then he's not professional, no matter how professional he act when he's taking picture. So if you are thinking to choose him as your wedding photographer, I would say: THINK...

He's got the eye his craft demands and the bedside manner his colleagues can only try to emulate. As a fellow vendor, James is great to work alongside of. I cannot imagine a client who wouldn't want him covering their event. Give James a call. No bride that does will be left in want.

James Bass is a very talented and professional photographer. We at A Pink Door have enjoyed working with him. He truly captures magical moments!

James has a wonderful way of connecting with people and putting them at ease. He finds imaginative ways to capture the personality of the couple and their guests. He is innovative, takes amazing photos, and a great guy. I have worked with him in the past and it was a pleasure. I highly recommend him!
