We loved the pictures Jim took at our wedding! He was very flexible, even when the weather wasn't what we had hoped. Jim even worked with us to get some neat artistic shots playing tennis in our wedding attire. He is very professional and always responded to my emails very quickly. We were so thankful to have Jim photograph our wedding.

I met with Jim and knew right away that he was perfect for our wedding day! He was very reasonably priced, and included our free engagement session in his package. He and his wife both took incredible shots at our wedding, and we received numerous compliments from our guests regarding his professionalism. He took a total of 800+ photos and was able to include all of our guests in at least 1 picture. A few weeks after the wedding we also received a leather binder with 2 cd's. On the cd's were all of our wedding photos. We own the rights to all of our photos! Try getting that from another photographer!!! In all, Jim is very easy-going, professional, affordable, and an overall pleasure to work with!!

Jim Lister is a very flexible, understanding, affordable and very talented photographer. First, for our engagement session, he traveled an hour away from his location at no extra cost to take pictures at the beach for our beach themed wedding. He took 100 fabulous pictures just to make sure that we found the perfect picture for our signature board. Our wedding pictures were outstanding and very beautiful. He took about 700 pictures and sent 2 high definition DVDs as well as posted our pictures online. He also left business cards with our engagement picture and the website and our password for guests to access the pictures as well. When he sent us the DVDs, he suprised us with a leather DVD binder with my husband and my name as well as our wedding date embroidered on it. When you open the binder there is a high definition 4x6 picture of us on the left and the 2 DVDs with a picture of my fathers and I walking down the aisle on the front. What a lovely surprise. He is very easy to work with and a fabulous photographer (his pictures are so clear). He goes out of his way to make you happy. I would highly recommend him!!

Jim is a great photographer! My pictures were beautiful, with lots of candid shots from the reception that were priceless. We ended up with a nice combination of posed, candid and artistic shots. Jim was willing to work with us within our budget which we appreciated greatly. The best thing is he got so many wonderful pictures of the reception, but yet you didn't even realize he was taking the pictures. One of my husband's friends who is a sports photographer even commented on his professionalism to us at the reception. Would highly recommend!

James Lister treated our special day with complete professionalism. His unique style of photography yielded beautifully artistic photos that truly captured the moments. His approach to the event allowed the photographs to show the occasion through the eyes of the guests. His compilation of photos of the event illustrate as storybook, exposing each emotion as they happen. About James Lister Photography

I am the lead photographer and owner of James Lister Photography. Originally from the Highlandtown section of Baltimore City, I have had an interest in photography since I was old enough to hold a camera. I was introduced to photography at an early age by my Dad, who was a combat photographer flying out of England with the 8th Air Force during World War II. I owe my creative eye and passion of the art to him.

My philosophy about photographing events and weddings is quite simple; provide high quality photography with personalized service. Some wedding photographers only offer traditional photography while other photographers offer only photojournalistic wedding photography. And that is okay if you have decided that you prefer one style over the other. However, most brides prefer a mix of the two styles and feel that they get the most for their money if they can find a photographer that offers both styles. The traditional style is usually what the parents prefer, while most couples tend to prefer the photojournalistic style. A photographer that offers both styles is always plus.

In recent years, I have worked hard to expand my clientele and produce extraordinary images for their use.

I am a current member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI)..

Wedding photography is not expensive. It is priceless!

What primary photographic style do you identify with?

What do your packages include?

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?

Since we shoot 100% digital, all of our photos are taken in color. Using state-of-the-art post processing software, weâ€™re able to convert any photographs from color to black and white, antique tones, etc.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?

Yes

Is your media preference film or digital?

We use only Nikon professional digital imaging cameras and lenses. We can shoot with film if requested.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

Yes

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

None that same day, neither of us need that kind of stress.
Possibly one on the other weekend day.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

We use only Nikon professional digital imaging cameras and lenses. We also use additional studio lighting for the formal family group images at the altar and at your reception.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

I bring a back-up of every piece of equipment.

Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?

We always check in with the bride and groom when itâ€™s getting close to the scheduled end time. We will certainly stay later than the scheduled end time if you want us to stay. There is an additional charge of $100 per hour, in one-hour increments.
