James was so easy and fun to work with! I love all the pictures that he took! He kept us laughing and was very punctual. He took the time to go over eveything in the contract so we fully understood what we were getting! The best part is how we received the final pictures! It was such a unique and special way to do it! I would recommend James McCoy to anyone!!

James was amazing! He is very professional while still being friendly and likable, so we felt very comfortable with him. Before the wedding day we went over all the shots that were most important to me and he did a great job capturing those for us, as well as many I never thought about. James delivered our pictures to us in about a week and a half and we were amazed at the beauty, quality and amount of pictures he was able to get. I will continue to use James for family photo shoots in the future and would highly reccomend him to anyone looking for a photographer for any kind of event.

I was so pleased with the profesionalism, and flexibility James provided form the very first consultation.
He was not only on time but an hour early! The price was perfect for our somewhat tight budget but the level of quality and creativity was that of someone much more expensive. We couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience!

What primary photographic style do you identify with?

Photojournalism, Portraiture

What do your packages include?

Albums, Digital Files, Flush Mount, High Resolution Images, Matted Prints, Prints, Proof CD of All Images, Thank You Cards, Video Montage

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?

I do offer post production retouching services that are unique to my final image styling.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?

I have experience shooting in everything from broad sunny beach light to dark indoor venues.

Is your media preference film or digital?

I prefer digital over film.

How many photographers do you work with?

I typically work with at least one assistant but always have what's appropriate per job.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

I am always at every event I book unless stated in writing and agreed upon by CLIENT prior to any event.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

Rarely will I book myself for more than one event per day as I do not want anyone to feel rushed and so that the CLIENT can be assured the utmost attention to them and only their shoot.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

I have a photographer on standby of my choosing and skill level ready to go in case I am unable to fulfill my commitment.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

I typically bring all of the lighting and photographic equipment I will need on every shoot.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

I have backup equipment, just in case...

Do you charge hourly or full day?

I typically charge on an hourly rate.

Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?

Extra hours vary per location and shooting requirements. Feel free to ask me any questions on that.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

If the CLIENT is still going, I'm going. I don't stop if the there's still shooting to be done. However, on the occasion that I must, I do not require that the CLIENT provide a meal.

Do you charge for travel?

I do charge for travel accordingly to Federal mileage laws for driving though only actual costs while flying (ticket, rental car, etc).

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

Proofs are ready to be viewed 10-14 days after the event.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?

Initial proofs are offered either in print or via an online viewing gallery.

How long can the client keep the proofs?

The CLIENT may keep print proofs as long as they wish.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

I do retain full copyright on photos until final payments agreed upon have been made, at which time copyright licensing is transferred to the CLIENT.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

I reserve the right to show the photos for personal promotion and contest entry.
