James Standfield Catering

What can I say about James that hasn't been said already? Our DOC coordinator recommended them to us early on --when we told her what our budget was. After searching some on my own I could not believe how good the prices were, and what we got for it.
Alicia was a breeze to work with, and very responsive when I had questions. She and my coordinator had worked together before which made it simple for me. On the day of the wedding the service was wonderful and so was the food.. great value. I highly recommend them.

Used JSC for our wedding at the Kohl Mansion. When we first got a quote we were afraid because it was so much lower than the others. We even double checked with the Kohl to make sure it was OK.

I still can't believe how good the food was and what I great value it was.

We worked with Alicia who set up three separate tastings for us, including feeding a couple of our friends we brought with us. Rentals was easy with her and logistics were no problem.

Our guests couldn't stop talking about the food.

We would recommend them for any event.

Alicia was so great to work with! She helped me with any and every question I had for her from picking the linens to deciding on the food as well as looking for someone to provide a chocolate fountain for us!

They did not charge a cake cutting, corkage and had a flat setup fee! The service was wonderful and everyone kept talking about how they loved the food!

I can't say enough about James Standfield Catering. We worked with Alicia from the very start. She was a wonderful catering manager. She answered all our questions, made suggestions and was all around a great help in the whole process.

When I couldn't make it to Classic Party Rentals to change our linens, the owner brought the linens to me on our walk through - complete with all the choices of linens, silver ware, china, a table and a chivari chair! Talk about great service.

On our wedding day, we had Rick (the owner of JSC) and Alicia there to manage the whole thing - we were taken cared of.

Their prices are unbeatable. They don't cahrge corkage fee, cake cutting fee, and service charge. I even upgraded some of our rentals at a very minimum charge. And of course to top it all, everyone loved the food we served on our wedding.

If I can give them more than 5 stars I would!!!

FI is from New Mexico and we thought it would be great to have New Mexican food since most of our guests have never had it. Amazingly, the JSC contact is from New Mexico too and knew exactly what FI wanted (the planner and I were completely in the dark). The tasting was good but more importantly, they were very accommodating to FI. We were going to also try Union Street Catering who had Mexican-style stations at a reasonably low cost but they only do tastings at noon during the week (???) so it was going to be a pain to schedule. Also, we didn't think we could get New Mexican food from anywhere else. Not only did I learn more about New Mexican food, I also learned that my taste buds suck! We were concerned about the food because we weren't sure how the authenticity would translate in feeding over 100 people. It turned out great. DH's New Mexican relatives told us that the food was very authentic. Also, our non-New Mexican guests liked the uniqueness of the food. James Standfield was very accomodating with last minute changes. The service at the reception was great (or I didn't hear any complaints). The only thing that was frustrating to me was that there were always mistakes on their revised proposals. About $12,000 for 133 guests including full bar, kid's meals (cheap at $5 each), all rentals.
