Janet was absolutely amazing to work with. She was so sweet and put my mind to ease. I was really worried about finding a seamstress I could trust and leave my dress with. As soon as I met Janet she made me feel confident and comftorable. She did a fabulous job with my alterations and bustle. She made it extremely easy for my maid of honor and bridesmaid to learn how to put up my bustle by adding color coordinated ribbons. My bustle held up all night. My drive from Ontario to Orange county was worth every minute. I will recommend Janet to every future bride I know.

I got a dress I loved, then the unkind bridal shop people ruined it for me with a horrible bustle, then came Janet to save the day!! I was beginning to doubt my dress and wouldn't even smile when trying it on :( I do not want to ruin my review of Janet with talking about my horrible experience with the bridal shop, however I'll only mention that because that is what brought me to her.

I honestly have nothing but great things to say about her, she is wonderful! She was able to accomodate me with very little notice and have my dress all done 5 days before my wedding! Even with little time, she never rushed me, we had 3 fittings within 2 weeks to make sure everything went well. She knows exactly what she is doing and what she's talking about. She's very friendly, easy to talk to and really does care about THE DRESS! Janet brought my smile back when I put on my dress, she fixed the hem, did a great bustle that stayed put all night (& I danced A LOT!) and also cleaned out some stains.

She is worth the drive to the O.C., and is worth every penny!! Her prices are reasonable and she truly is one of a kind :)I have pictures of my fittings in my bio. Go to Janet, you will not regret it!!

Janet was wonderful to work with. She was professional, knowledgeable, talented, and very accomodating. I felt like Janet really cared about making my dress beautiful and I never felt like I was just another bride to work with. She is a special lady and she made me feel like my dress was special. I would highly recommend her. I can't say enough nice things about this sweet lady.

My friend had recommended Janet to me, and after I saw all the excellent reviews on her, I knew I had to pay her a visit! Before I even begin to talk about her excellent work, I have to mention that she is the sweetest person in the world, really listens to what you want, is so flexible, and is the most reasonably priced. Janet has had many years of experience, and it definitely shows. I had purchased my wedding gown two sizes too big because I got it such a good deal for it, and I was a little worried it wouldn't be easy to take so much in. Well, Janet put me at ease right away and said it was no problem. The next time I saw her, the dress fit me perfectly, like a glove. I ended up gaining a few pounds after that, and Janet was so accommodating in taking it out a little the week before the wedding. I could not recommend a wedding vendor more, especially when it comes such an important element of your wedding, looking and feeling great!

I bought a dress from out of town and had paid an additional rush fee to have the dress shipped to me asap. The gown was sent to me 3 weeks late! I was in a rut and on the edge of insanity until I found JANET!!! Actually, I know it was God who was directing me to her.

I found Janet on PW and she contacted me the very next morning to set up a time to get fitted. She had mentioned that she had a couple other dresses to work on but after hearing my dilemma, she was more than accommodating. I brought the dress to her the week of my wedding, went in 2 times to get fitted and picked it up the morning on the wedding day. She was super knowledgeable, kind, fast and my wedding gown is proof that she is absolutely the sweetest and best. My dress entailed a lot of lace and delicate threading. I don't know how she did what she did but she shortened the length/hem, took in the sides, and conjured up a beautiful french bustle( color coordinated the pins so my MOH could easily assist me).

The 2 things I really appreciated aside from her being so accommodating, was the fact that she explained what she was going to do for each step of the alteration and a sweet prayer she said on behalf of me for the wedding day. It brought tears to my eyes knowing that she truly wished me the best. It was just a simple gesture but so honest. The dress was complimented a thousand times, it fitting perfectly throughout the wedding, and I couldn't have imagined it fitting any other way. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Janet.

Janet does AMAZING work! She altered my dress to perfection (mainly bustle). I wanted something unique and she made it happen. She also altered my BMs dresses - which I ordered to big and had her alter to fit as pencil dresses. They all turned out great. She was great to work with and very friendly, patient and understanding. She made sure she was doing what I wanted and had in mind, and went above and beyond by explaining things perfectly (ie- she made me sit down to make sure I would be comfy, walk backwards, dance, etc.).

The price was soooo worth it as I would have paid more to get crappy, lazy service at my bridal shop (which was why I looked for someone else in the first place). Janet is a diamond in the rough - you are one lucky bride to have found her. My only advice, contact her early to get on her schedule because she gets busy!!!

Janet is amazing! She altered my best friend's dress when I was the MOH and also did my dress a few weeks ago! Her quality is awesome (she won't let you walk away unless she is fully satisfied with the alterations!) and her prices can't be beat. Definitely go to Janet!

This woman is amazing! I don't know how else to describe. I met with 2 seamstresses before her, and spoke to countless others, who all quoted me $550+ for the work I wanted done to my dress, which was to only make the dress into a strapless. I felt discouraged because I wanted more work done to the dress: make the 2 tiers into 4 real tiers (the 2 tiers had lace sewn in between to make it appear like 4 tiers). I decided Janet would be the last person I would meet. I met her 1.5 years prior to the wedding; I didn't know how long this type of job would take, so I wanted to get an early start...just in case. Well, Janet and I hit it off immediately. We talked for about an hour and a half. We discussed design ideas, and she even convinced me that I needed a train, an idea I fell hard for! Then came the scary part...pricing. Obviously she won me over.

She is one of the most thoughtful women I know, and she really puts her heart and soul into the dress. I feel it when I wear my dress. And we've since become friends because we have worked so closely together in making my dress a reality.

She has done other dresses for me, and she never disappoints. I will continue to use her again and again!

Janet did a STUNNING job after the alterations person at the wedding store ruined my dress. She fixed it in a rush because my wedding was a week away. She is extremely affordable and could not be a more caring or nicer person. I wish I would have known and gone to her originally, she is so kind. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Janet.

Janet did an amazing job shortening and doing the bustle on my dresses. She was easy to work with and her prices are very reasonable. I highly recommened her.

Janet was great to work with! I had a Jasmine H939 dress and she hemmed it, took it in, bustled, and pressed it for me. She was very sweet and patient with me when I went back and forth on what type of bustle I wanted. At my final fitting there was a slight bump on my hip and when I told her I could just cover it with my hand on my hip she made me take it off on the spot so she could fix it. I loved that! She also charged my way less than what Mon Amie quoted me for alterations.

Janet was wonderful! She was able to pick out every detail of the dress and fix items I didn't even notice. She did a wonderful job on my dress. The whole day I received compliments on every detail, down to the bustle she did. I could not have found someone more professional and sweet, something every bride needs to put them at ease!

Janet was very sweet and pretty good. My dress fit like a glove, but there were some beads that were missing, but it wasn't noticable unless you come really close and looked at the bodice of the dress. I would give 5 stars for price, 4 1/2 stars for final product.

Janet truly made my Monique Lhuillier fit like a glove. She is a very good seamstress and her attention to detail is impeccable. She made sure I was happy with the alterations, but above all, she made sure I felt beautiful in it.

Janet worked wonders on my dress. My dress was a little difficult because of all the detail and bead work! But she worked her magic and it looked beautiful! Only problem was that when we tried to bustle it, the button broke off and I just held it most of the night. I think this had to do with all the movement and getting in and out of the limo.

What would I have done with out her!! Since I had my dress purchased in the UK I was running out of time by the time we needed to travel to LA. So my dress didn't have it's final alterations done until I got there. Freaked out I researched and found Janet, thank goodness! She made it so easy and she was spot on with what was needed in pleanty of time for the wedding. She get's big points from me!

I chose to take my dress to Janet because of her high ratings on-line. Even though she's in Irvine and I'm in LA, I thought it was worth the drive to turn my dress over to someone I really trusted. And she was even better than I had imagined. She knew exactly what to do, had clear suggestions, and really understood what I wanted. She is sweet and comforting, very professional and very skilled. I had a bad experience with the tailor at the dress shop where I originally bought my dress, so Janet had to correct someone else's work. She could instantly see where the problems were, and even found a stray needle floating around in my dress that the other tailor has left there. I just got married three days ago, and I can say that my dress was perfect in every way. Janet is amazing, and I highly recommend her to anyone who's getting ready for their big day.

I recently picked up my dress after having it bustled and hemmed and I love the bustle. I used Janet Brunton in the OC and she was awesome. Her fees are very reasonable and she is such a sweet lady. She will work with you on getting the dress back to you quicky. She even strategically hid a few of the bustle points by adding a couple tiny appliques that matched my dress. I highly recommend her.

Janet was awesome. She works out of her house and was very nice. I went to see her three times. Once to drop off the dress and have her pin the hem (all I needed done was the hem and bustle) once to check the skirt and then to pick it up. I was really picky about how the skirt looked when bustled, but she never lost patience with me and kept at it until I was satisfied. My dress had pick-ups so it was a bit harder to work with, but she did a great job. Her price was amazing! She did the hem, a 7 point bustle and steamed the dress for $175. Amazing!

Janet did a great job on my dress and had everything done on time. She is SUCH a sweet lady with a huge heart and works her butt off. The only reason she didn’t get a + is because she missed one bustle and all night I was tripping on my dress (just a little) There were 9 pins and she missed one, so there were only 8, NOT a big deal at all, you couldn’t even tell by looking at it, everything else was perfect!

My dress was 3 inches too small in back (I was a little overambitious with my weight loss plan when I ordered it) when I first brought it to Janet, and she somehow used the silk from the hem to sew it in back then replace all the buttons up the back and it looked perfect… Anyway, she’s amazing, and her prices are so low I gave her an insanely high tip to compensate. She’s also the sweetest vendor I had in addition to being super talented.

Based on recommendation, she is a sweetheart to work with. Definitely know what she is doing, I have my dress done within 2 weeks. Happy and comfortable with the result. Her price is unbeatable, she charged 35 - 50% less than the other 2 vendors that I found.

I was referred to Janet by daNrr and I am SO glad I called her! Janet was such a treat to work with. I don’t think I’ve ever met a sweeter, more caring, thoutful lady in my life. It is so refreshing to work with someone so delightful. Not to mention the fact that she is good at what she does! My dress looked awesome. I had her remove the top ruffle, add bra cups, shorten the hemline, and figure out a bustle for my complicated, uneven dress, and she did a fabulous job. Plus she had the idea of turning the ruffle fabric in to a garter (which turned out great) and steamed by dress, crinoline and veil. On top of all that, her prices are VERY reasonable. (Honestly, I felt like I was ripping her off) I can’t recommend her enough. She is such a wonderful person and a good seamstress.
