Janet Flowers Wedding and Event Designs

We were put in touch with Janet Flowers by our wedding planner and we are thrilled with her work. She designed the perfect centerpieces for us that, even though it was an outdoor wedding, made it look elegant and fancy. Her prices were fair and she was more than willing to work with us to make her services fit our budget. The day of the wedding, all the flowers were fresh and beautiful. I actually think she threw in some extra at the last minute... which was great. I'd highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a top notch florist.

Not sure what everyone else is complaining about here...I had a great experience with Janet. Maybe because I was working with a wedding planner that already had a relationship with her?...Not sure but she came up with really great ideas for our reception and cocktail hour..my bouquet was gorgeous calaillies...very fresh and big!...Our centerpieces were very modern and unique....we also had a canopy designed by janet with lots of crystal and detail...all my guests loved it and I thought she did a great job. I cant speak to the responsiveness bc the wedding planner did most of that towards the end.

Beautiful flowers. Janet was a pleasure to work with. There was some slight confusing towards the very end concerning final payments, but nothing too troubling. They also did the flowers for my rehearsal dinner and that had no problems whatsoever. Would definitely recommend.

Janet made my reception and wedding beautiful. I will say, she is very pricey but her work is excellent. She is very helpful and does beautiful work.

We (me, my now Husband, and my parents) met Janet at a large Bridal Show just a few months before our wedding. It was VERY intimidating being at a bridal show where everyone reacted the same way, "Your wedding is when?! Girl, you have to get going." Janet, however, was so kind and did not make us feel like we were soooo behind, which we weren't. We got everything done. The truth is, you just have to have the right vendors who work well with you and you can plan and enjoy a wedding in just a few months. She clearly has a LOT of great experience doing large events and creating amazing pieces, so we were a little nervous about reaching out to her and asking her to do our, what we believed to be average, wedding. She told us not to worry, that we should give her a number and she will get as close to our vision as possible. So we contacted her and scheduled our consultation. Before the face to face meeting, I was in touch with her assistant. I worked with her by putting together an overview of what me and my Husband were looking for in style, our Budget, etc. That way, there were no surprises when we got down to business with Janet. Janet was great about being honest with us that she would work hard to get as close to our vision as possible, but we should keep in mind the possibilty that we may have things to scale back on. Most people would not take that well. Compromise? No way!, but in the end... Janet and her staff really do create something beautiful for you. Janet provided a proposal that she warned us had all the bells and whistles. From there we worked with Janet and Meghan to edit so we could get closer to our budget. Honestly, as you go through this process you think, "I'm pulling a bunch of things. Is it going to look bare?" NO, NO, and NO. In the end, Janet, Meghan, and staff created a BEAUTIFUL atmosphere for our ceremony and reception. We saw them the day before wedding day for a sneak peek, but mostly so i could drop off something special that would go in my bouquet. That was the first time I saw what would arrive on wedding day. It made me so excited! The next day, delivery was on time, nothing was missing, and the professionalism was perfect. We couldn't have been happier. We went slightly over budget, but it was worth it, and we had a little bit of cushion because flowers was something that was REALLY important to me. Important information about what Janet and Co. were able to create for us: A spectacular arch for our ceremony, various styles of center pieces that complimented each other and went well with the venue decor, boutiniere's and bridal bouquets that were adorable, and a display of flowers on our cake that made it an undeniable eye-catcher. And my bridal bouquet?... to die for. Unfortunately, i didn't salvage it properly. If i could, I would love to have Janet replicate my bouquet. Largest roses i've ever seen. Janet and Co. know what they're doing and they are incredibly kind and honest the whole way through the process. Each time we spoke with them we felt like we had been working with them for a long time. The reality was, we met at the show, met in person, planned, and had a final proposal within 2 months. I would highly recommend them.

Janet Flowers did a fabulous job with my wedding flowers! I didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted going into our meeting, but she understood my vague descriptions right away, and my flowers at the wedding couldn't have been more perfect! They were very flexible; and I was able to trim a considerable amount out of the initial proposal to seriously cut the budget, and that was no problem at all! I gave a slightly lower rating for responsiveness: there was some slight miscommunication where one of her assistants kept calling me to confirm some detail that my mother had already confirmed with Janet herself, but that was no big deal, everything worked out great in the end. Thanks, Janet, for the gorgeous flowers!!

She made a beautiful wedding. We were a little nervous because she forgot to make our "sample bouquet" at one of our meetings. But she came through in the end. Definitely more expensive than we had planned.

Janet Flowers is one amazingly talented woman. She can literally do whatever your imagination comes up with! Her work took my breath away! She is so kind, patient, and just really great at what she does!

Janet was very friendly and easy to work with. She was open to what I had in mind and reasonably skillful at producing boquets for my wedding party that matched up pretty well with my vision. I was a little disappointed in the flexibility and accountability of the staff as they changed my pickup time just days before the wedding after I had adjusted my schedule to fit their original request for pickup. It was not a disaster, but definitely a stress that most brides don't want to deal with right before their wedding. Overall, I was pleased with Janet's flowers, however the bouquets weren't something that I felt strongly about. I think that if having "perfect" flowers (exactly in line with what I wanted) had been important to me, I would have been disappointed. The bouquets I received from Janet's flowers were pretty, but certainly not something you'd see in a magazine.

On a scale from 1 to 10 I personally rate Janet Flowers at a 10. Our arrangements, centerpieces, and bouquets were gorgeous; she, along with her staff (specifically Gaylen), were very easy to work with. We had a specific budget and they were able to work out a deal with us in which we were able to have everything we wanted (with a few budget-friendly suggestions from Janet) and stay within budget. Janet even makes a sample arrangement close to your wedding date to make sure you like the centerpieces. For our wedding we had many handmade decorations, and Janet was great about giving us honest and tactful feedback and helping us come up with and execute a very elegant and unique vision of our wedding. She's also very talented: she made my bouquet exactly like the one I printed out from a site.

My Mom and I had planned to DIY for the flower bouquets in my wedding, but as the time drew near, it became evident we couldn't do it all. My mom would do the bridesmaids bouquets, but my bouquet and the boutonnieres (for the guys) and corsages (for the Moms) would be a bit much. I called Janet Flowers within a few weeks of my wedding, and she was open to help within the budget I specified, which was right around $200. She did an all-white bouquet for me, like I requested (though it was a little off-white compared to my dress), and had gorgeous single-rose boutonnieres for the guys. My mother-in-law and my Mom had nice orchid corsages, though my Mom's looked a little lop-sided. If I had had more time and been more picky, I may have been slightly dissappointed, but I was happy and thankful for the last-minute help.

Janet worked with me to design a centerpiece that worked very well with my vision for my event. She has a great variet of rental items to enhance your event. Due to a short engagement, I never had the chance to see a mockup of my bridal parties flowers or my own bouquet prior to the event. I told Janet what I liked and showed her a few photos - she did an amazing job and everything was better than I imagined!

The flowers were amazing. I loved my bouquet and all the table arrangements and decorations - Janet and her team did a fantastic job. They arrived early and everything went great. Also loved her crystals that she hung for the reception. Beautiful!!! Expensive but worth it. Only negative is that Janet is very busy but her assistant was great and very responsive and we were able to set up meetings with Janet fairly easily, considering that I was planning the wedding from out of state.

Did a great job meeting my demands; I chose centerpieces that were not like most weddings and she worked with my budget. Would recommend.

I went to a wedding and was floored by the floral arrangements and wanted the same effect for my own wedding, which led me to Janet Flowers. I knew what color scheme I wanted but really was looking for the professionals to suggest a look and ideas for my wedding flowers. My first 2 meetings were with an assistant who would take notes but never really gave me any suggestions, ideas, or input. I left these meetings so frustrated like it was a waste of time (this employee no longer works for Janet). When I finally got to meet with Janet, she helped out tremendously, and had some great ideas. On the day of, the wreath and ceremony flowers were beautiful, the staff was excellent, and I got a lot of compliments, although my bouquet did not turn out AT ALL like what we had discussed.

Totally over the top... bad taste... very strong personality - will force down her 'extremely expensive' ideas down on a bride. Unprofessional. very arrogant and snobby. I would NOT recommend her at all. Luckily, I managed to find another wonderful florist at 1/10 of the price she quoted and at much better service and quality.

One-of-a-kind designs! Janet is a true artist when it comes to centerpieces and design. She's able to look at the bigger picture to make sure everything comes together beautifully as well as realistically. Her designs are stunning and definitely add that special touch to make an impact on your memories.

I absolutely LOVE working with Janet! Her designs are by far of the most fresh and innovative in the DC metropolitan area. She comes up with absolutely mind blowing and breath taking creations, and works to achieve exactly what her clients want. She is always prepared and is willing to make last minute changes, no matter what!
