The positive is that our album is beautiful. Unfortunately Vito was booked for the day of our wedding so they gave us another photographer. While he was very nice, he didn't seem very experienced. He didn't even know what basic configurations to suggest for the basic family/bridal party photos. We had to request each and every one and suggest poses, as he seemed to have no idea what to take photos of. In his defense, he did do a much better job with the candid photos during the reception. Still, there were many important photos we did not have taken because he seemed so lacking in arranging the formal photos. Our prints arrived in a timely fashion, and we were able to pick out photos for our album even though we were abroad for most of the year following our wedding. Once we had picked out those photos though, we found that Jasmine lagged in communication and in sending our albums out. Their responses to our very polite emails were often late and abrupt. Admittedly we should have checked the package our album came in more carefully because I realized about a year later that we never got the disc with all the prints. My husband had noticed prior to this but forgot to mention it to me or to Jasmine. When I contacted Jasmine (almost two years after our wedding), they responded with a very rude email suggesting that we had lost the disc and simply wanted another for free. We offered to pay for shipping and then, when they told us it would cost us $75 for another disc, offered to pay half that cost. We never got a response.

Jasmine Photography---deep sigh...I had such hopes. Originally I had booked them after a recommendation for photography & videography My husband (then fiance) liked the albums and we signed a contract that day for both photography and videography. I started looking at the Jasmine website and I realized the photography style was not to my liking so I contacted Vito about canceling the contract. I was told even though it was almost a year before my wedding I could not receive my money back so I agreed to keep them for video and for them to give the raw footage so I can cut it myself (I work in TV). I thought all was well even though I had to get my planner involved in order to get the reduced price for video that I had found online--that should have been a clue. The 2 camera ops showed up as I was getting ready and I thought all was well in hand until I got the footage. First: They shot NO VIDEO of my husband or the groomsmen before the wedding!!! I had asked them when I was getting ready if they knew where the groom's suite was and they said yes. I even volunteered a bridesmaid to take them. I know she went to the suite because it was when she gave my husband my gift to him. The still photographers got it. Second: THEY SHOT NO VIDEO OF MY FAMILY!!!!! I am not a young bride. My Mom and her siblings are in their seventies and I asked to make sure they shot footage of them, especially since one of my uncles had not been in the United States in 37 years and this side of my family had not been together in the same place in 40 years! No video of them. Add to that my groom's family wasn't represented and I almost cried.. Third: the audio is bad. CAN'T HEAR THE WEDDING CEREMONY!!! The most important part of the whole day! Fourth: when I got the video it wasn't the raw footage. It was compressed onto 2 DVDs so the quality wasn't great. When I called to ask about it, they refused to talk to me on the phone and insisted on email correspondence. I asked for the raw footage (which would take 6 DVDs) and they insisted I send them a portable hard drive which cost me an additional $120!!!!! They had my wedding video hostage so I sent it. Then they emailed me and said they had only one editor who could copy my wedding video and he would be gone for a MONTH!!! I grit my teeth and waited. Then they started emailing me saying I had to send them $16 for the hard drive to be mailed back to me. I tried to make the point that I paid them $1200 for a wedding video and they were griping over mailing cost but again, they were holding my video hostage. I was SOOOO disappointed in this whole experience. They were uncommunicative except when they wanted money and were the only vendor of the whole wedding that I can't recommend.

PHOTOGRAPHY:
I saw one of my friend’s wedding albums done by Jasmine, and I was taken back, it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen! I knew we had to book them. We had a little shaky start with Jasmine, there were some booking issues that I won’t go into. My teaser pics were amazing and I cant wait to see more! Even though we didn’t have Vito as our photographer, I am very happy so far!
VIDEOGRAPHY:
Our videographer was really nice and he wasn’t obtrusive. I cant wait to see the video!

Because of unfortunate events, we had to pull out of our contract with our previous photographer and looked to Jenny Orsini for help. She recommended Jasmine Photography. So we gave a call and Vito Kwan was ready to meet with us that next week. He traveled all the way from NY to NJ to meet with us after work, which I thought was great that he wanted us not to worry about commuting. He went over every single detail of the contract and was more than happy to answer any questions, and we signed the contract on the spot.
On our wedding day, they took amazing photos and gave us a great idea to take some on the golf carts since our reception site was on a golf course. Within 3 days after our wedding, some of our pictures were up on their Blog and within 2 weeks our proofs were up on their website. What I liked about Jasmine Photo was that they were very accomodating. When we asked if we could add pictures our friends took into our Bridal Album, they said it would be no problem and to forward the files. When we asked to have our Thank You Cards sent to us earlier, they were sent with our proofs in the mail 3 weeks after our wedding. Nothing but great things.

After my first photographer went bankrupt Pampered Bride Weddings highly recommended Jasmine Photo for both photographer and videographer services. After meeting with Vito Kwan (head photographer) and seeing samples of his work I booked them. We had two photographer and two videographers which covered the entire day including both Stephen and I getting ready at our family homes. I was given my proofs within a few weeks. With over 1500 pictures wonderful pictures taken it was very hard to pick the album photos!

We used Vito for our September 2006 wedding.
We loved working with Vito. He came to us to for our meetings before our wedding which made it so much easier for us. He was so easy to work with.
Our album came the beginning of March so 5.5 months after our wedding and it is awesome!! We got a magazine style.
We also got video from them. The video has a menu page, chapters and a recap. It is set up great and is pieced together/edited well. Its not the best dvd I have seen but there's nothing wrong with it and it definitely helps us remember the day and show people who didn't get to go, etc. MH wanted it not me but I am glad we have it!
