Having moved to Vegas only recently we selected Jason based on his positive online reviews - and he FAR surpassed our expectations!

Jason met us at our wedding location prior to our wedding day to get an understanding of the best angles/views/lighting for our big day. He was very professional but had such a great relaxed friendly personality that we immediately felt comfortable and confident with him.

On the big day Jason and his assistant Kanani were absolutely amazing. They got so many fantastic photos that really captured the feel of the whole day and night. The funny thing is that although they captured so many genuine moments - not once did we notice that they were actually taking the photos (ie they did not once get in the way).

A couple of days later we took some additional shots at locations that Jason recommended (The Smith Center and Nelson Ghost Town) - they were so beautiful, artistic, and very tastefully done. The effort that Jason and Kanani went to was seriously impressive - although it was freezing cold, they really took the time and effort to get the most amazing shots possible. It is easy to see that photography really is their passion and true talent.

Everyone who has seen our wedding photos have commented that they are the best wedding photos they have seen. We totally agree and highly recommend Jason!!!

We had met with several photographers in Las Vegas prior to meeting with Jason. We were incredibly underwhelmed with the quality, and, outside of hiring Uncle Jed, availability of reasonably priced options.

Then we met Jason. One of the things we liked most about Jason was how he made every effort to imprint an artistic touch to his work. Although he has several weddings to attend to, we never really felt like we were just “one of many” or just another transaction. He took the time to get to know us, which allowed him to exemplify our personalities in the photos. While he is very professional and obviously takes his work seriously, you get the sense that he values the artistic side of his work more than the business side. He takes a lot of pride in his work.

Jason did both our engagement and wedding and we have gotten so many compliments on our photos. Jason truly made our wedding day one to remember. When the chaos of the day eventually started, he was there to assist in any way we could. Whether that was helping with stuck dress zippers, having blotting paper handy, or following our world’s cutest flower girl around for more shots, he was there. I could swear he cloned himself the day of the wedding because everywhere I was, he was there. He captured all the key moments and then some. He was very flexible and collaborative which made our day a breeze.

We moved away from town shortly before our wedding in Vegas so we were able to accomplish our planning through a mixture of e-mail, Skype and phone calls. Jason made everything super easy and he has this great calming presence. We purchased a package that included our engagement photos, wedding photos, slide show cd, and received all our originals on a CD. Most photographers we met wanted you to buy the originals. To make things even easier, Jason also posted our photos to his website so we could easily share them with friends and family on Facebook or email.

Jason is AMAZING!!!!! I was looking for someone with an artistic eye - not your typical "stand and pose" photographer and that is exactly what i got! he spent time with me before the wedding making sure we were both prepped and that any special requests i had were handled. he was EVERY WHERE during the wedding and reception yet i never saw him...(how did he do that?) the pictures are incredible and i would recommend him not just for weddings, but for any event!

I highly recommend Jason Skinner Photography. He was very responsive and helpful with ideas on photo locations as well as creating a timeline for the wedding and shoot afterward. He was a joy to work with the day of and very flexible. The photos are just priceless. They are art. He is truly an amazing artist. Everything was captured beautifully. I was soooo incredibly lucky to find him via google when searching for a photographer.

Jason was awesome to work with. I planned my wedding out of state and he responded quickly to any questions or concerns I had. He went around the wedding site once with me 2 days before my wedding and another time by himself the day before the wedding to see how lighting would be where he wanted to take pictures etc. He was fun and easy to work with and I must say I have had so many compliments on my pictures we had a night wedding and they turned out amazing. He was able to capture every detail and the pictures are phenomenal! I would recommend him to everyone!

I first heard about Jason through a girl who works at one of my company's west coast offices. She had gotten married in Vegas & emailed me a list of people that she had used. After looking at Jason's site, I was in love! His photos are so elegant and glamorous.
Throughout my planning, Jason kept in touch and we discussed a lot of the details and plans prior to the day. This made the day really effortless. We did a shoot at the Neon Boneyard then he accompanied us to our reception dinner at THE Steakhouse. (We wish he could've taken photos during our ceremony!!! But that was a big no-no with the hotel.) Since he was so experienced shooting at the Boneyard, he had a list of shots ready with diagrams timed perfectly with the sunset. We were able to shoot up until our very last minute of paid time (fee to shoot in the Boneyard) and were able to get all of the shots with his perfect planning.
We had a small wedding with only our parents & two brothers. He was happy to accommodate us and include them with our package. One thing that I loved was that he brought a second shooter, Kanani, who took a lot of candid photos of us and our family during the shoot. We were able to get great photos of so many special moments!
Plus Jason & Kanani were so sweet and excited to be there. It was very hot, but they never complained and were so happy to be part of our day. They really gave 100% and we loved having them around!
After the day, Jason still kept in contact letting us know when things would be ready and sent a teaser photo to us very quickly. Then, once he had edited the photos, he posted a super cute video of images on Facebook as well as an online gallery. As an added bonus, he gave us a .ZIP file of web-ready images so it would be really easy to share them online.
We've gotten nothing but positive feedback on the shoot. People have thought the photos were absolutely gorgeous and really showcased our "best" selves. A lot of people have even said the photos look like they're straight from a magazine! This is definitely true - don't expect stodgy traditional poses. Jason works to create beautiful, stylized, editorial-y photos.
I just can't say enough about how wonderful both Jason and his work are - trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Jason is FANTASTIC!
We worked with him exclusively through email until a week before the wedding (we were out of town) and we never had any worries. He was professional and very detail oriented. Unsure of when to set the ceremony times for best lighting for photos he looked up the sunset and backtracked out a whole timeline for us. We talked about what was important to us and what balance of traditional/photojournalistic shots we wanted and he was totally on board.

Since we only got into town a week before the wedding thats when we did our "engagement shoot". Although it was close to the wedding I highly suggest this for out of town couples because it gave us time to meet and get comfortable with each other before the wedding day and we had a blast. We did the shoot at red Rock Canyon and much to our surprise he had already hiked all over the grounds and scouted out locations for us! He was willing to hike up as far as we wanted and there was some ambitious climbing for being in dress clothes but its what we wanted so Jason was always ten steps ahead finding paths and light.

He showed up on time and ready to go on the day of. He brought a second shooter who was equally nice and fun to be around. He had everything planned out for us so family photos after the ceremony were quick and easy as were the shots we took all over the Springs Preserve. He made all of our guests feel at ease and was flexible with our changing timeline during the reception and made sure he stayed long enough to shoot the cake cutting and toss.

As someone who doesn't like being photographed I was surprised by how much fun i had working with Jason. he was also excellent balancing the very different requests my husband and I had. If we ever are in Vegas again and are looking for a photographer I will be calling Jason again with no hesitation.

Michael and I got married in Boston, but thought why not get our engagement session done in Vegas on a business trip?!! After countless hours searching for photographers and finding the basic kind of cheese one would expect to be associated with the land of drive through wedding chapels, I narrowed down my choice to three: two San Diego based photographers and Jason. While I had the opportunity to interviewing with all three, Jason was the clear winner - not only did he have the artistic documentary style we were looking for, but he was also strong on the technical and post production side, plus the added bonus was our Boston connection (he went to BU).

Timely - We were 10 minutes early for our shoot, and Jason was 15!
Creative – He has great ideas about cool locations where we could have our photo shoot. Even after a dozen trips to Las Vegas, he was able to introduce Michael to some new places! When you look at Jason’s website you can clearly see that his strengths are light and form.
Prepared - Jason went on location days before we arrived to test what time the sun would set and when the lights in the art district would come on. Talk about service! It goes without saying that he came with multiple cameras and lenses.
Kind and Professional - Jason is fast over email, more than willing to chat by phone, and sent our online album earlier than his initial timeline. On location we was very polite to everyone we encountered.

Because we wanted to include an element of story, Jason suggested that we invite Bernard Gaddis to our shoot. The lovely Bernard is a former Alvin Ailey dancer, now part of Cirque and is Artistic Director of his own company www.lvdance.org. Not only did Bernard have great onsite inspirations, but he also taught me how to stand so as to elongate the body, a class in how to look 20 pounds thinner if you will. Your special day is in great hands with Jason.

My daughter was thrilled with her wedding photos and entire experience of working with Jason. He took great photos without being obtrusive and distractive. He knows what he is doing so the "formal' shots don't take forever and you can get to your wedding reception. Because he had never been to the Chapel on base, Jason came to the rehearsal to get the layout and lighting down. He promised the photos would be ready in a month, and delivered on time complete with a photo video. Jason is fantastic. I hired him because his reviews were fantastic and his pictures were the candid unposed-looking kind that I really wanted. I could not have even imagined how great and talented he was. He was extremely reachable and responded to all of my emails in under 24 hours, put everyone (including our mothers) at ease having photographers circling, and produced the most gorgeous pictures I have ever seen of us. I could not say one negative thing about Jason, his second photographer, or his photography assistant and would recommend him to anybody. His knowledge of light, poses, cameras, lenses, is something I have never experienced. He was a pleasure to work with and I would have him take pictures of me every day if I could afford it. .

Jason is a true professional. When I was doing a walk-through the day before my wedding, I ran into Jason who was scouting the location to prepare for our photos. I was really surprised, but glad that he put in the time and effort to make sure he got the photos right. He worked really hard for the entire day, and didn't stop to take a break. Jason captured so many moments, and it showed through the high-quality of the deliverables. I think there was only one moment that I wish that was captured, but unfortunately, Jason couldn't be at two places at once! Thanks again!

Jason was amazing! From our engagement session to the wedding, he was courteous, prompt and soooo talented! We were so happy with the final product. Our wedding had been delayed by about an hour that night, so the lighting wasn't very good, but Jason did the best he could and the pictures still turned out great. Thank you Jason for making our day so wonderful! *Just a note, if you have a larger wedding, it may be in yours and Jason's best interest to have another photographer present to assist him. My husband and I were married in Las Vegas on May 1st 2009. I found Jason online and I fell in love with his work. He did not have many photos of weddings at the time because he had only just begun shooting that type of event.

My husband and I decided to elope to Las Vegas and had very little time to plan considering we were living between the US and Spain. I came across Jason's website and was entranced- his photographs are so lovely and uncontrived. I know how important photography is for any event and really wanted to get it right. I emailed him and he was so prompt and so kind and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that he is so affordable and flexible too! I was so happy to discover that not only he is an amazing photographer but a really nice guy as well- I was smitten! Our communication was only through email, but we explained what we wanted- a retro/vintage/60s/fun/viva las vegas style wedding and he completely understood. Although we never had a run-through or time to meet up before the wedding, he was so prompt and even scouted cool retro locations around Vegas to photograph us. When we met him at the chapel he put us at ease and was not only a wonderful photographer but a great witness as well! After the chapel he took us around to some amazing locations and we just had the best time. I cannot tell you how many people stopped us and asked if we were doing a magazine shoot because the photos were amazingly staged and designed! Everybody who sees the photos is in awe and says we should submit the photos to a magazine because they are that good. All in all I cannot say enough kind things about Jason he made our special day even that much more special.
