Jason and JoAnna are a professional team that is full of energy and fun. Our engagement shoot was amazing and the quality of work looks like something out of a magazine. Won't use a different photographer as long as they stay in VA.

My fiancée and I just had our engagement pictures done with Jason and JoAnna and they are phenomenal! Jason and JoAnna have made everything so easy. They respond to e-mails very quickly and are very professional with a personal touch. They had our best interest the entire shoot mixing both of their personalities while going to tons of different locations. My overall satisfaction did not end there! They had our pictures back to us very quickly, put pictures on facebook and their blog for our families to see. I am so thankful we chose them and cannot wait to work with them in the future!!

Until we met Jason and JoAnna, we've never experienced a more pleasant, professional, and perfect photography team! They were also great at keeping the attention of our 15 month old son to help create our beautiful memories! So, blessed to have met them, will definitely use them again in the future!

Jason and his wife JoAnna were absolutely terrific. My bride's biggest problem while planning our wedding was responsiveness of vendors. This was never a problem with Jason, not even close to a problem. The day of our wedding was great. Jason and JoAnna were there getting every possible shot, but hardly noticeable and not at all in the way. We didn't have to worry for one second about Jason or JoAnna. We just got our pictures back and couldn't have been more pleased with how they turned out. Would recommend them to anyone.

Photography is not something that everyone can do, sure anyone can take a picture. But to have a professional on your wedding day is a MUST! Jason & JoAnna was a professional from start to finish. Having these two at your wedding, will give you a sense of relief, honestly you will have plenty to keep you busy even if you are a laid back groom like me. I believe having a male/female team allows them to look through the lens from both perspectives. So grooms be ready, there will be some shots that will capture why she feel in love with you as well as some that your Best Man will say: "that is so you". I hear a lot of women say how they want there wedding day to be, but no one really talks about the pictures. Remember this, your wedding will only last a day but your pictures will be here forever! This is a budget killer for a lot of couples but it doesn't have to be! The most expensive is not always the best. J&J is affordable, the customer service exceeded my expectations, and most importantly you will be happy at the end of the day, when you are looking at the photos of your wedding day, I know I am!

For a once in a lifetime event like this, you want as much of the feeling and essence of that day captured to look back on years from now. Jason Jarvis Photography absolutely did that for us this past weekend, and it was no surprise. My wife had been a Bridesmaid in a friend's wedding a couple of years back that had used Jason as their photographer and had a fantastic experience then. Looking at his portfolio and the previous experience we had with him, it was a no brainer asking him to work with us. Nothing about our day disappointed, least of all Jason and Joanne - they were incredibly patient, helpful and attentive of our needs as the bride and groom. Taking our requests, as well as offering poignant suggestions of their own resulted in pictures we will TRULY cherish forever. I also cannot help but mention our Super-Hero picture, it is perhaps the single most impressive wedding photo ever taken - you really should go take a look at it on Jason's blog!

A friend of mine used Jason Jarvis Photography for her wedding and the pictures came out fantastic and we had such a good time! I knew when I got engaged there would be no hunt for a photographer, we just called up Jason and JoAnna! They were awesome the whole day! They made all the picture taking a blast! They had some great shots already in mind and were open to any special pictures we wanted to get! While Jason was doing awesome portraits, JoAnna got amazing detail shots I didn't know she'd snuck away to take! I would definitely say that were the whole package and were everything we could've asked for out of a photographer! Simply amazing!

If there was one mistake that my bride and I made, it was that we did not plan our wedding budget as well as we should have. However, we knew that the photography was something that we did not want to skimp on. We wanted creatively professional pictures that would not cost an arm and a leg. Jason and Joanna were a huge help in this department, and they worked with us, both on the payments and production of the photos. Our family and friends LOVED the photo booth, and we both loved taking our formal pictures with them. It was a blast to work with them, and I am actually thinking of any excuse we can to have another random photo shoot, just to have the experience again! Seriously though, they really came through for us, and I would suggest them to anyone.

During wedding planning, Nick and I knew that we wanted to invest most of our budget into the photography. Halfway into the search, I attended a local bridal show and chatted for about 30 minutes with Jason. Immediately drawn to his down-to-earth nature and quality work, I told my fiance and we placed his name on the top of our list of potential photographers. About two months went by, and we'd gotten swept away in other wedding to-dos. My fiance called me and told me he just had a meeting with a photographer and his fiance, and he felt so good about choosing them. Much to my surprise, he was the same photographer that I'd secretly chosen months before.

Jason and Joanna were truly god-sends. Not only are they great at what they do, they are insightful and flexible throughout the entire experience.First, our guests raved about how approachable and friendly they were! Secondly, it was incredibly hot for our outdoor wedding, but they were both troopers and provided us with peace of mind throughout the entire day!! Even down to Jason playing Michael Buble for me during my day-of make-up preparation, they helped make our day truly special. There were many blunders that happened that day (as with any wedding lol) but Nick and I were NEVER concerned about our photography services.

Jason was by far more than I could have ever asked for in a photographer! He was prompt, took pictures of the guys golfing, my luncheon and of course went out on a limb taking pics on our floating dock at the lake! I've only seen a sneak peek of the pictures and they are truly amazing! I couldn't have asked for anything more in a photographer to capture our perfect weekend! Jason was very professional and went above and beyond for our wedding. We could not have asked for a better photographer to capture our wedding day. We didn't even know he was there half the time but he was, and he was capturing all the fun and exciting moments of our wedding.

We had a destination wedding in the USVI in January and had our reception at the Hotel Roanoke in March. We greatly enjoyed working with Jason and JoAnna and would highly recommend them to any couple seeking a wedding photographer. From the very beginning, we found them to be exceptionally responsive to our questions (often answering emails within a couple of hours), and when I met them in person, I could tell that their warm and welcoming personalities would be a great fit for our wedding. They also are very cognizant that it's your wedding, and I was impressed by the fact that they didn't try to push any particular package or photo album. Instead, they listened to what we envisioned for the wedding and told us how they could help us achieve that goal. Not all vendors listen like Jason and JoAnna do.

As other reviewers have noted, Jason and JoAnna are unobtrusive as they spend time with you while you're getting ready, heading to the ceremony/reception, etc. With all the potential stress that you have that day, it's great to know that they can take the lead and make sure that they get all the great shots without asking you tons of questions or relying on you for direction. At the same time, they are taking some amazing pictures, which you do not realize until you receive the full wedding picture set afterwards. We were so happy with the final set of pictures that we received, and more than one wedding guest has commented that the pictures look like something out of a magazine.

Simply put, Jason and JoAnna are a great team.

Jason photographed our engagement party and what an amazing job he did! He was extremely professional and prepared, having already setup his equipment and scoped out all the best places to take family photos before we arrived. In no time at all, he had us posed and photographed for what turned out to be some of the best family portraits I've seen of us. On top of that, my fiance and I are both a little camera shy, but thanks to Jason's direction and super easy going demeanor, we look totally natural and at ease in our individual couple's photos. And because Jason was so prepared, my family was able to relax and enjoy the moment before the guests arrived.

During the party I hardly ever noticed Jason was nearby, and he was able to take some really wonderful candid shots. Looking at his photos, I can definitely see everyone's personality popping out. The photos he took of my mom and dad are so perfect, and I'm not sure anyone could top the ones he caught of my fiance's mom happily laughing along at my uncle's stories.

To cap things off, the keepsake case which Jason provides for the disc of our images is totally wonderful - my fiance and I actually guffawed at how professional the packaging is.

Jason and Joann were awesome! The pictures were great I never had to tell them at all what to take pictures of. They have a very good eye for great pictures. Brides: Don't always settle for the vendors that other brides have used. Sometimes looking around is the best way to find the hidden gems (that's how we found Jason Jarvis Photography). My advice: find a photographer that doesn't limit or overcharge you for their time. Also, a wedding photographer NEEDS several things: ability to take action shots, ability to take detail shots, experience (so they're in the right place at the right time, and CUSTOMER SERVICE. The last is hard to find, especially with most wedding vendors it seems, so you'll really appreciate it when you find it. Jason Jarvis Photography was the most PROFESSIONAL, RESPONSIVE photographer we could have EVER imagined. And...enjoy your wedding (before, during AND after...when you're reliving it all through photos).

Very friendly, unobtrusive and professional. At the outset of the wedding, Jason asked me if I had any special requests, or if any came to mind, just let him know. Two thirds of the way through the reception, I realized that I'd like some photos of my family, asked him and Jason immediately complied. And he also had shot some golf photos earlier of the groomsmen, and had a slide show going of that as the reception wound down. The actual photos are exquisite, and will remain keepsakes!

Photographed my daughters wedding and was constantly snapping pics! I dont think these photographers missed anything!! They were GREAT!

Jason and JoAnna were Awesome! They were at the Church before I got there and were still at the Reception after we left. Booking Jason & JoAnna for my wedding was my first concern when I got engaged back in November 2008. I wasn't sure of anything but the date and the photographers, everything else was an option.
