My husband and I did our engagement and wedding photo shoots with Jay and Peggy. They were incredibly professional. They were at the location ahead of time and ready to start shooting. They paid attention to all the little details at the ceremony and reception and captured amazing pictures which will be a lifetime of memories for us. The photographs were composed so beautifully and the colors were just really bright and popped out at you. The pictures looked like beautiful potraits. My husband and I are incredibly pleased that we got Jay to do our wedding photography. You can just be sure that for the price you pay you will get amazing photographs and memories to last for life. All our friends were amazed at how wonderful our photos looked. Typically indian weddings are chaotic with lots of customs and details but Jay worked through all that and delivered really elegant Photos. Jay and Peggy are awesome!

We had a really good experience with Jay Tsai Photography and are very happy with our pictures. We chose Jay based on a personal recommendation from a friend and we were not disappointed. Jay's team was very flexible and at no extra charge shot our wedding 70 miles south of the Bay Area and even stayed for 30 minutes beyond what our contract called for. Our wedding was a mixture of western and Chinese traditions (my wife is from Hong Kong) and Jay's service worked out well for us because it was clear that he was familiar with both cultures and able to get the important shots that mattered to us. Even though we chose one of Jay's less expensive packages, we don't feel like the service we received was compromised at all. Overall, I thought Jay and his team did an outstanding job and I have no issues at all recommending them to anyone else.

Our wedding was on June 2009 and this is truly a long overdue review.
Jay and his team were Awesome! On the day of, we had an extremely tight schedule along with many hectic events that's involved with a Chinese/ American wedding. To make matters worse, our wedding was in SF on Pride weekend. Even with those challenges, Jay and his team were extremely punctual, accommodating, flexible, and reliable. They were so easy to work with and yet still managed to keep us on top of our schedule.
As for Jay's work, it speaks for itself...just visit his website or blog. He takes stunning pictures however doesn't charge an arm and a leg like most other wedding photographers.

We recently met with Jay and booked their service for our wedding. He was really easy going and my FI and I felt really comfortable with him. Being comfortable with our photographer was in our minds one of the main criteria as he/she would be spending the entire day with us, family, and friends.

We really liked his style of photography and post processing, and we'll be doing an engagement session in a few months! So far, the communication had been prompted, and we had met with him a couple of times. He answered all of our questions patiently, and maybe because he just got married a few years ago, we felt like he could really relate to what we were going through and gave us a lot of advices, photography and beyond.

We are looking forward to working with them!

My wife and I recently got married in August and were delighted with the work that Jay Tsai did. From the time we first contacted him, he was extremely responsive to all our emails and inquiries. He was very professional about meeting with us prior to the wedding and going over details about what sorts of shots we wanted, how many different locations we could fit in a given time and what we should do prior to the wedding (get the ring cleaned, decide which formal family shots we wanted at the Church beforehand to maximize time for photos on the day of, etc.). On the day of the wedding, he was extremely efficient at organizing shots and maintained a professional but easygoing demeanor. He and his assistant never disrupted the flow of the wedding yet managed to get a nice variety of intimate and candid shots. We were very impressed by their constant shooting and the number of wonderful shots they captured. The slideshow they compiled in time to show during the reception was a hit! We have received numerous compliments from family and friends regarding the quality of his photography and would highly recommend him.

We were very impressed by Jay and his assistant when we first met with them to discuss our wants and needs for wedding photography. They were very professional and made us feel confident that they could capture the complexity of our emotion in a single picture. Jay was able to give us several ideas for location shots and poses and worked hard to incorporate our ideas into the engagement session. We loved his sense of adventure and creativity, especially when taking several shots in a moving vehicle! Jay’s team of professionals helped us create several different looks for each location. They worked hard to make us feel comfortable with every shot. I’ve gotten SO many positive comments about the engagement pictures! We’re going to have a hard time deciding which ones to display at the wedding!

Jay is an excellent photojournalistic photographer and we would highly recommend him to anyone for wedding photography. His shots from our wedding were fantastic. He took a nice mix of funny, candid and more serious shots to give a really nice range of pictures. He makes any location look gorgeous, any lighting situation work and everybody looks gorgeous in the pictures.

Jay is very easy to work with – he answers emails promptly, makes the effort to meet with you as often as you like and understands what you want from a photographer. During the day of the wedding, he was very relaxed and easy-going which put us at ease as well. After the wedding, he was also very attentive. He even got some of the pictures to us within a week of the wedding!

Overall, not a single complaint, and we would highly recommend him.

I just went to a wedding that was photographed by Jay Tsai. From a guest's point of view, Jay did an amazing job. The entire team of photographers looked professional, inconspicuous, and always very polite to the guests. At the end of the evening, Jay created a slideshow of all the events that happened during that day. I must say that I was incredibly impressed by the quality of the photos, and it was such a kick to see gorgeous images of my friends while they were getting ready!

It was truly a pleasure to have Jay photograph at our wedding. Not only does he capture the most amazing and candid moments, he also has an awesome personality and put us at ease on our big day. More importantly, he made our families and guests feel comfortable, and everyone who came in contact with him had nothing but great things to say.

We have been very impressed and so happy with the quality of our photos-- they turned out so much more beautiful than we could imagine. We are very grateful that Jay could be part of our wedding, and recommend him highly to anyone!

We were very excited to have Jay and his assistant take professional shots of our baby girl. We wanted a "non-Sears" style photo shoot and that is exactly what we got. All of Jay's shots were stylish while still capturing the fun and excitement of youth. He was able to capture great angles and shots, no matter how quick or preoccupied our girl was. You can tell Jay and his assistant really love kids and have great patience with them. Our cutie pie had such a fun time playing with and "modeling" for them. These photographs will be a wonderful memory for our growing family.

Jay and his assistants are wonderfully easy to work with. Jay had a lot of creative ideas on different poses during our engagement pictures, ranging from natural to stylish and trendy looks. We are impressed that they were able to capture all the awesome details of the wedding day so well. We love his artistic camera angles and the play with lights to capture the emotions of the day. He was very professional and talk about quick delivery of the pictures...within 5 days after the wedding!!!

Jay and his assistant were very professional and yet very laid back shooting in a mostly photo journalistic style. Both of them worked very well together, truly capturing the emotion and feel of every setting. They both allowed my husband and I to relax and feel comfortable with EVERY shot we took. Working in the photo journalistic style, Jay gave us ideas of poses from which we could take and make our own and thus expressing our personalities. Jay and team were very flexible with locations and open to ideas we had to make our photo shoot personable. We were very impressed with the quality, feeling and emotion captured in each picture taken during the shoot. I hope you enjoy your shoot with Jay Tsai and team as much as we did!
