We purchased both my engagement ring and wedding band here. I would have never thought to purchase fine jewelry at JC Penny's but I had a certain style engagement ring in mind that I had trouble finding what I wanted. Then I saw one in a JC Penny's catalog that caught my eye. I was still skeptical but we went in to the store to look. It was exactly the style I wanted and was so sparkly. We walked around the mall and looked at all the other jewelers (and had looked at several independent jewelers before hand) and still liked the one from JC Penny's the best. My then-fiance purchased it for me that day. It is a beautiful 2 CT round diamond surrounded by a double halo of diamonds with more diamonds in channel set on each side of the band. It sparkles so much and it's exactly what I wanted.
Several months later we had still not found a band that we loved to go with it. The engagement ring is part of their Modern Bride collection and is designed to not be worn with a band, but I wanted one. We looked and looked and finally found one we though would work from JC Penny's web site. We had actually tried on the same band at Gordon's Jewelry but the exact same one was half the price on JC Penny's website. We purchased it on a Friday and received it on Monday! We were only a week away from the wedding at this point so we were worried but everything worked out great and I have gotten so many compliments on both rings.
We paid about $4,000 for both rings and the same rings would have cost us $10-15,000 easily at another jewelers.
They held the dress I wanted to wear in my wedding for 5 days until I could get the money together. I loved this dress and would have been heart broken if it was gone, when I came back two sales women ran up to me and rushed me to find my dress, they were more excited than I was!
