Reviews for JCPenny's (North Hills)
One of my bridesmaids' works at the mall, and she saw the dresses and thought they were really pretty. It was a dress from the Nicole Miller Collection. I love Nicole Miller dresses, I think they are really beautiful. The evening wear dresses are really trendy, and the dresses we choose were black with big floral print. The material was really nice, and because the dresses were "ready-to-wear" they didn't really need any alterations. I personally found that they quality was better than the dresses you find in bridal shops. My girlfriends loved the dress, which was important, and I think they were happy the dress cost less than $100.
In the January of 2007, a year before our set wedding date celebrations, I noted that JC Penny was having a huge Christmas clearance sale and that they were selling these beautiful candles that were encrusted with gold dust for 75% off. Because I knew that our wedding would be in January, I knew that these candles would be perfect as decorations. In a Martha Stewart wedding magazine, I saw a picture of a reception room that was filled with candles for a winter wedding. It would be cold, so I wanted candles to fill the room and give the room a warm, cozy romantic feeling. I also wanted nicer candles than just plain tea lights. I spent $100 on over $400 worth of candles. I chose the candles that were already in gold dusted candle holders, and lots of green and purple dusted candle holders as well. My main color palette was that of Mardi Gras, so it was for the majority gold, and then purple and green. NOTE: before I bought the candles I did contact the manager of the restaurant we had reserved just to make sure that candles were allowed. For my daughters wedding we had bought all these balloons only to find out during the last week that balloons were on the prohibited list. We were lucky and candles were allowed.
