Jen was the only photographer I contacted for our wedding after looking at several others web sites. Her portfolio truly shows her skills and her prices are very resonable. I believe she is the only photographer in Orlando who will provide a copyright release of your photos afterwards! Plus, she also does videography. From the moment I spoke with Jen on the phone I knew she would be fantastic to work with and I was right. Both she and her assistant.. also, Jen, were a blast to work with and the pictures were awesome!! I haven't seen the dvd yet, but I know that I will not be disappointed.

Jen was amazing! We loved working with her both before and during our wedding. She responds extremely promptly via e-mail or cellphone. She was incredibly warm and friendly - she knew just how to bring out natural smiles as opposed to those forced, posed-looking ones. We got so many compliments from our family and friends about how efficient she was with taking big group pictures. Our guests really appreciated knowing what was going on and not having to wait indefinitely while picture-taking. And her actual photography turned out beautifully!! We had trouble choosing which ones to frame - so many lovely options!!

Jen was Fantastic! She is super fast on responding to calls and emails. From our first meeting with her we knew she was going to be our photographer! She made us feel right at home in her studio. She is very helpful and easy to talk to about things that you want and she has a great personality! Which is very important for your photographer! AND! Her photos are absolutely amazing!! She was wonderful to work with on our wedding day. She got people in our families to smile who can be difficult at times and got some really great shots! The moment my husband and I met Jen we both felt very comfortable with her. She has such a bubbly personality and she makes you feel right at home. We met her at her home where she provided many photo albums and pictures to view her work. We had met with one other photographer who only had one album for us to look at. The two were night and day in personality as well. You definitely need to feel a connection with your photographer in order to get the best pictures. We also had an engagement photo session with her prior to the wedding day which I highly recommend. It gets both of you familiar with each other and helped me to see what I needed to work on for pictures! A smile is worth a lot! My husband and I met with several photographers for our wedding. Most of them we found were not personable and their prices were high. When we met Jen it was like we were sitting down discussing our wedding photos with a friend. She made us feel very comfortable. The portfolios we saw were professional and unique, the prices were fair, and she was conscientious about understanding the vision we had.
On the day of the wedding, Jen was wonderful! The pictures were taken quickly but quality was not compromised. We had 4 flower girls and 2 ring bearers and I don't think anyone could've have done better with the kids than Jen! Oh, by the way, on our wedding day, right after I got my hair done at the salon and before I put my dress on, Jen took some fabulous boudoir photos of me as a gift for my husband-to-be. Overall, Jen Adams photography has it all- reliability, flexibility, professionalism, value, and quality! Thanks Jen!

Jen is an awesome photographer! She was on top of everything on my wedding day. Her focus was on getting great pictures and making sure the bride was happy and taken care of! Jen, Rob and their associates are all so talented and very professional. Jen was friendly and the most enthusiastic vendor I had for my wedding. She knows the industry and knows all the vendors. We got to meet with her so many times prior to our wedding, to make sure we had all the details right. She gives the best advice...she's better than a wedding planner! Jen shot our engagement session, Rob shot our wedding and an associate did the videography. After our wedding, we had so many beautiful pictures. She has lower prices than the big shots, but her and Rob's photos are just as gorgeous as the expensive vendors. (even better I think!) I would give 6 stars for "Value for Cost" if I could. We got all of our digital pictures on CDs, and we got the negatives of the film shots, so we actually get to "own" them. My albums and video are my most treasured keepsakes from my wedding day.
I've continued to keep in touch with Jen and Rob, and I still use them for family photography. I love to recommend Jen to my friends for maternity and baby photos too. I've recommended Jen to friends and they have all been happy with her work. She has been very flexible with her prices during this economy, but her professionalism and friendliness is never discounted! Jen Adams & Associate's photography is a MUST HAVE for your wedding day.

My Husband, my family and myself were greatly satisfied with the level of service and professionalism we received from Jen Adams. My wedding pictures were unbelievable and were even better then I expected. The pictures were up in a short amount of time and I loved all of them. The photographs were beautiful, however, I have to say that I wasn't very impressed with the video. I wish that the videographer would have gotten a better position for when the wedding party was walking in the beginning of the ceremony. No microphone was used for those that wanted to give us well wishes. We had to rewind and listen to the messages several times. The venue created a lot of echo and lots of background noise so it's very difficult to hear what is being said. Also, on the dance floor, I wish that there was some more panning out. Also, the video was choppy in some of the editing and the DVD seems to skip a lot, but according to the note that came with the video, it's our DVD player.

Hey Teri, thank you for taking the time to write a review. Thought it was not "glowing" I do appreciate the feedback and felt your words were fair. It allows me to continue to try to do our best at every wedding and in every circumstance.
I wanted to explain/address a few things on my end per your comments in your review. Jen (the videographer) and I were on the lawn and we both decided the best location for her was where she was before the wedding. We knew you were coming in the direction you were coming, but we anticipated that once the bridal party came from the fountain, they would come towards the lake and then turn up the aisle, which did not happen. In weddings we can guesstimate and go with knowledge we have but sometimes it is not 100% perfect due to the nature of it being a live event. In hindsight, her being right at the end of the aisle would have been a better spot, but with all the beautiful lawn, we moved her and that is why she was where she was.
I would like to also comment on the mic system: During the beginning of the wedding, we had a nasty noice come in immediately and we turned off the mic and the live sound ended up being fine. I told Jen not to use it until we could figure out what was going on. It was a newer system, and I didn't have time during the reception to work on it. We always asked each client to be as loud as they could and Jen did try to pull each guest away from the sound inside the reception, but as you mentioned, the venue in spots has echo due to the architecture.
We usually don't do a lot of panning during the reception dancing (and you would not have known to ask for this) as when it is darker as it was that night (after dark) the light on the video camera goes up to 8-10 feet max. We find focusing on clusters of people dancing is preferred and that is the way I ask the videographers shoot. Beyond the 1st dances, and toasts shot mostly in their entirety except when we need to move, we shoot 5-10 second captions of people dancing... sometimes with the crazy fun parts of the night (like during Sweet Caroline at the end of the night) we try to get in the mix and shoot more. We try to focus on the fun and interesting stuff. For instance, during the time when your guests could dance with you and your husband: She did right by getting 5-7 seconds of you dancing with different individuals. The alternative would be shooting for 7 minutes straight panning left to right and we feel it looks more like a ship rocking when one shoots like that.
Lastly, if you are having a lot of problems with the dvd sticking, pausing, etc, please call me and mail the dvd back. It says in the note, "If you are having severe problems to please let us know and we will take the dvd back to the duplication house to be sure it is burned correctly and there are no imperfections on it." Sometimes it is a problem in the burn or literally with the exact dvd.
***All dvds are not compatible with all dvd players... not sure why this is, but when we burn the dvd here on our computer, we then take it to a duplication house where they burn it to a "more universal" dvd and they burn on a really hi-tech burner like real movies (for lack of a better word) to minimize this but sometimes there could be a bad dvd in the batch, etc. I would be happy to take it back and have them redo. We used to have 1 out of 10 have a problem before we did the extra step/cost of the duplication house, but now we rarely hear this problem.... maybe 1 in 50 or 60? So please let me know if it is excessive.
I am sad you are not super happy. I know with video as with photography, we are really clear on what we can offer as it is a live situation. I truly appreciate your comments and thank you for taking the time to do it. Please mail the dvd's back if you would like us to have them checked. This is the first I have heard from you that they are having a problem.

I saw Jen's work on other weddings and was excited to contract her but she provided a different product to me than what she showcased in her portfolio. I don't know if it's because she's not used to working with different ethnicities or maybe I wasn't spending enough money with her, but the pictures were of poor content. No one in my family or the wedding party wants to purchase a picture because she captured them all looking down at their feet or away from the camera. Even in the choreographed shots the children were situated in the back and in the dark, my husband's face couldn't be seen in the pictures or his dark chocolate skin blended in with the background. Everyone was all looking in different directions or not all smiling and the children were frowning. I don't have one good shot of just me and my husband. In one picture there was a 7Eleven store in the background and a diaper bag on the ground. The venue was "The Veranda Bed and Breakfast" and so there was much great scenery to choose from. I only wanted 1.5 hours of service and prior to the wedding discussed the 35 most important shots with Jen. They included the family that could of been photographed while waiting for the wedding to start. Jen waited until after the wedding to get these shots so that she could charge me an additional $350 for overtime. Because I did not agree to pay her past the 1.5 hours now I will only receive the shots of inanimate objects taken while waiting for the wedding to start such as: multiple shots of chairs tables, and flowers. So that's what I will get for my $480.00, No actual pictures of me and my husband or my family. She did not give any of the wedding party heads up that she would be taking their pictures and where to look. She stood in not so good places taking far away pictures of everything. She should have brought a second photographer to assist her. I really feel robbed and even more disgusted after I read the other reviews where everyone else is so happy. When I discussed my concerns with Jen she talked over top me and told me that the pictures were beautiful in her opinion and that I would have to take her to court if I expected her to make any concessions. She said that if I didn't want her to take pictures of me upset then I shouldn't of looked upset. She said she couldn't control my daughters face and that she was rushed because I'd only paid her for 1.5 hours. I feel that this issue began because I initially booked her for videography as well but cancelled to take on another vendor who provided more for my money. I also feel that my race had a big play on the quality of the service she provided. There was no disclosure on what would happen if the wedding started late in her contract. She should not offer 1 hour packages if she will not be able to do a good job.

When I met with the client in question, I boldly stated that she must start on time if she wanted to pay for 1.5 hours. Â She agreed. Â I did not have it written on my contract that I would work for free beyond that time frame. Â Unfortunately, the client paid me to work from 4:30 to 6pm. Â She walked down the aisle @ 6:10pm instead of 5pm which was the original start time. This was ten minutes after I was to leave per the contract . Â She KNEW she would accrue extra charges if she had me stay longer per our original meeting conversation. Â When I left @ 7:30 pm, I told them I was going to charge for the extra 1.5 hours and they agreed. Â I mentioned to the groom before the wedding (at about 5:50) that I obviously was going to need to stay longer and he agreed.
I have photographed just about every different ethnicity and have enjoyed every event. Â I treat every client with respect and dignity and expect it in return as found in any NORMAL business relationship. Â I go above and beyond the photographer's duty when necessary. For example:Â This particular bride needed help getting her vail on as she was having trouble, so I put down my camera and helped her and also picked flakes off of her forehead. Â She vented to me on her wedding day about how she was late getting down the aisle because she and her maid of honor had had a rather large fight. Â (using nice words not hers)
In almost ten years, I have never had this problem while shooting other intimate weddings or weddings where the client wanted to only pay for a small amount of time. Â They all know that they are paying by the hour per my pricing sheet and our discussions. Â The contract states the start time and the end time. Â I always verbally talk with them about extending as I would never trap someone into using me longer than they want to. Â About 10% of the weddings we cover go over and they all understand that when they extend their time, they will need to pay for it and they do.

You will see that I did a great job of capturing the event as well as I could with the time that I had. Â Unfortunately, the only thing READY for the first 45 minutes were the chairs, the florals, the cake, the tables, etc. Â I did attempt to visit the bride @ 4:30 and at 5, and at 5:30 and she was still in her undergarments until 6pm. Â I also went to the groom's room a few times, and actually photographed him getting his jacket on, but not until after 5pm. Â For the first half hour, the only person ready to be photographed was the ring bearer. Â How could I have photographed pictures from our check sheet per her comments when the bride and/or groom were supposed to be in every shot but neither were ready? Â I was able to photograph the flower girl (the bride's daughter) after she was ready at 5:15. Â She is smiling and was sweet and fun to photograph. Â Unfortunately, she was not as happy after the wedding. Â I offered her stickers and she did have a more pleasant smile in some of the pictures. Â I cannot as photographer be responsible for someone else's demeanor. Â I am upbeat and friendly while taking the pictures. The bridal party is not looking down at their feet as she states. Â
During the formal portraits, the groups I called for and posed are looking as when you view the pictures you can see this! Â I did do a 2nd position for all the bridal party on steps and they were not as responsive to me but I was calling out for them all to look. Â We did attempt a shot of all the bridal party on the street, but I told her after we came off the street, that it was a busy street and it was not blocked off, and cars were coming and it would not work out. Furthermore it was LATE and she would not smile as you can see at that point as she was mad at her husband for giving gifts to the groomsmen during time when we could have been taking photographs.
There are SEVERAL shots of the bride and groom alone. Â There are 42 images online for her to choose from. Â She is smiling or is being kissed in 32 of them. Â At the venue, there are several lovely spots to shoot from, however, I chose the best spot to shoot the majority of the formal portraits for several reasons. Â It is a pretty spot with steps for small or larger groups, as well as free of guests and in the shade. Â In years past when I have shot there, I usually shoot in that same spot. All she had to do was ask, and I would have explained why I shot in that spot and we could have tried to find an alternate location. Â
The contract never stated I would be bringing a second photographer as she states and that was never discussed or offered. Â It would not have helped anyway as the initial and only problem was that the bride was over an hour late getting down the aisle.
When I left her wedding they seemed content. The groom was a delight to work with all evening, and quite frankly the bride was pleasant most of the time. There was a few times when she was upset that they were behind on the timeline and was upset that the photography was cutting into the eating time.
Where she describes she "discussed her concerns" with me: Â She sent a very nasty email which shocked me as I thought she would have been happy with her final product. Before I could respond back to her email, she called me and she proceeded to literally SCREAM at me for 20 minutes. Â She says in her review that I spoke over her: Â I did correct her when she contradicted herself: Â She had asked why I would take pictures of her when she was not smiling. She stated she was not smiling because she knew I was going to be charging her for the extra time. Â
During this conversation, I also asked her to lower her tone about 4 times or that I would need to hang up until we could have a more normal business call. Â When I did hang up, she called me back, and left a threatening message stating she was going to get in her car and come to my home on my voicemail. Â I then called the local police department, and they came and took care of the matter. Â She stated she was going to take me to court to get the stuff she did not pay for. Â I told her I would see her in court. Â What else can I do with a client like this? I never stated I would take her to court.
Her final resolution to "the matter" she created was for me to give her everything and receive nothing in return beyond the payment for the first 1.5 hours. My resolution was more than fair: I offered her an extra half hour for free so she could at least get the pictures thru the wedding on cd and she doesn't have to pay for anything more but she would not be getting anything else for free either. I also offered her the ability to purchase whatever prints she wants online for the last hour of posed photography but would not be giving her the copyrights as she did not pay for this time. Â A 4x6 is only $2, and an 8x10 is only $10. Â She can purchase what she wants and the she does not need to pay for the "bad pictures". Â She should be thankful, but instead she is continuing this nastiness and went on this website. Â Ironically she placed an order for $90+ dollars last week and ordered several BEAUTIFUL pictures.
She also wrote, "I feel that this issue began because I initially booked her for videography as well but cancelled to take on another vendor who provided more for my money." Â I actually collected a deposit for video from her when she originally chose my company and when she changed her mind, I APPLIED that $100 towards her final photography bill. Â Again, instead of being thankful, she is twisting the facts and making it another issue. Â
Wedding wire has refused to pull down this post because I actually was her photographer, and all posts that ANYONE has ever posted are on here. The only time we have ever had someone not happy is when they want something for free or wanted to get out of a contract and I am sorry, especially in this economy, people want to be paid for the hard work they do.
I strive to make every client is happy as I go above and beyond. My clients MUST be reasonable with their expectations as well. Â

Jen was the first photographer I met with and I knew right away that I should book her. She did a great job on both the photos and the video for my wedding. Everyone who was involved in taking pictures loved her and she was nothing but professional and fun. We took the majority of our pictures before the ceremony and she made everything go so smoothly. Jen Adams and our actual engagement and wedding day photographer, Jen Mock were both amazing! During our engagement photo shoot, we were really unsure of what we were doing and how things would go, but Jen Mock made us feel so at ease, and our photos came out amazing. Then, at our wedding Jen was again amazing. She was flexible, understanding and willing to work with us so that we got exactly what we wanted. Our wedding party and guests consistently commented about Jen's professionalism, class and work at our wedding. We haven't stopped getting compliments about our photos. After the wedding we chose to do the digital book, and although it was somewhat pricey, it was more than worth the money. We will cherish our wedding book and the photos inside for the rest of our lives. Our wedding day was truly captured in photos, more than we could have ever wished for.
Ultimately, Jen and her staff were always uber-dependable. My emails and phone calls were always promptly returned. I never hesitated with my choice of Jen for my wedding, nor would I for any future event. PLEASE ALL YOU BRIDES OUT THERE DO NOT USE HER! She is horrible! She fired the specific videographer we hired before the wedding and sent some trashy girl who decided she was going to take a meal off of one of our tables and ate while she should have been filming. I assure you if you use her you will have complaints! You will never get a phone call back and you will have more problems than they are worth.

I just logged on for the first time and am horrified by this particular bride.
Her email is 99% fraudulent. The only point of reference that is true is that she was a client of ours. The original videographer hired was released from duties for reasons I cannot state, due to state employer laws in mid September and we immediately replaced her with a videographer that has worked with us for years. We called the bride in September to alert her that we needed to amend the contract with the videographer. She allowed us to do just that, so we did not fire the videographer 2 weeks before December 1, 2007 as she stated. We left her a message with this information immediately in September 2007. The bride had a contract with us and had paid a deposit but did not pay the final which had defaulted her contract. The final was due per the contract 14 days before the wedding. She did not return any of my calls and during my 30 calls to her (literally), her voice mail changed 3 times, giving her new last name, the fact she was on her bachelorette party, etc. I say this so you understand that I did call her. I also, had her fiancee's phone # as I always ask for two telephone #'s, and left him several messages without receiving a call back. WE care about each and every client as we should. As I came to find out, she did not want to pay the final amount, as her church offered to video the wedding, so instead of returning one of my calls, cancelling, and forfeiting her deposit, amending her contract, etc., she chose to be cowardly and dodge me, thinking we would not be diligent enough to get her on the phone and make new arrangements, or have her acknowledge that she would want to forfeit her deposit. We came to the conclusion she may want her deposit back if we did not show up on the wedding day.
Ironically, when she would not take my calls, I had my videographer call, Alicia answered right away, as my videographer called from a different phone number. We caught her off guard, and this is where she began her lying tirade with us. She said her cel phone was broken (? 3 new messages) and that the church was videotaping her ceremony. We asked about her fiancee's phone and she said he was not checking his messages. We offered to cover the reception only and reduce her pricing. She was stuck so she said yes, and we collected a smaller final payment that same day, her wedding day!!! We also went over everything we could for her on the spot. Even though we KNEW she was lying to us, we did the best we could and did not bring up the fact that she had been untruthful.
Jen, our videographer, showed up on time, acted and dressed appropriately, and handled the bride with supreme care, knowing her volatile state.
Another point she was false about: Our associates always show up in appropriate attire, which would be pants, and a shirt, neatly pressed, and appropriate for a wedding. We also wear appropriate footwear, as not to make noise while moving about the event. The particular videographer she is speaking of looks as if she just came out of an Ann Taylor ad, not as Alicia wrote.
Another point she was false about: It is appropriate to feed your vendors. Because she never returned our calls, she would have probably figured out we might want something to eat. I can assure you our associate never "took a meal off one of the tables". She was offered food by the manager at Timacuan Country Club and she stood off to the side for 5 minutes to eat, which is appropriate.
Because the wedding was in early December, we were slammed with weddings and corporate events. The week of the wedding, I ALWAYS call each and every bride of mine to go over every detail. I would have told her that we were running 2 weeks behind with editing the wedding videos/dvd, like I told our other 6 brides that month (whom all understood and were content with our communication). But, alas, she never returned our calls, so how could I have told her this? She called one time, three weeks after her wedding, of which I answered her only call to me and in a completely childish/rude way started in on the fact that it was 3 weeks after her wedding and where was her video and that the videographer was rude, etc. Well, I firmly told her that had she returned any of my calls, she would know that the videos were taking a month to get to our clients (still faster than the market average) and that the videographer tried her best, being that she was to start filming 5 minutes before she and her husband was introduced into the reception.
The dvd was mailed to her within 4 weeks of her wedding.
Ironically, she was touting from the beginning of what a strong Christian she was, and being a Christian myself, I just would not ever treat anyone the way she has chosen to treat this board by lying about and to us. I also noticed she made her claim on May 10, 2008. This would be more than five months after her wedding. We have been providing photography and videography for 9 years and we have one client per year that becomes "bridezilla". This was our bridezilla for 2007. We truly try to please 100% of our clients, but unfortunately we cannot.

Jen photographed our wedding almost 8 years ago with only 6 weeks notice. I was referred to Jen by the DJ we had picked. I chose her becuase of her beautiful outside shots and our garden wedding setting. She had another commitment so we planned everything out beforehand, provided her a list of shots and she spent about 2 hours with us. I remember our pastor giving her the "talk" that this wedding was about us and our commitment in front of God and that he didn't want her photography shots getting in the way (despite the strong warning, our pastor is a big ol' boy of GOD). He complimented her after the service for her unobtrusive nature and actually asked me for her business card. We received a gorgeous selection of photos covering absolutely everything we requested and then some. Her wonderful nature calmed me during a stressful morning of prep and made our day wonderful. She was helpful and fantastic to work with.
To that point, she has seen our family grow and just shot pictures of my now 6 and 3 year old children that of course, turned out wonderfully! She has taken photos for us once or twice a year since she did our wedding. We have a standing session with her the day of Thanksgiving each year! My kids love working with "Mrs. Jen" (well as much as my darling Anna can love having to smile instead of growl or hiss). I have referred her to over 15 friends and acquaintances and have always recieved great feedback. Many photographers are trying "new and different" techniques. I can appreciate that but here is what I will say, Jen captures YOU and when you look back at the photos in 20 years, they will be classic. Her pictures warm my heart and make me smile.
