Jen K was awesome! Words can't expressed how much I truly appreciate all her dedication and energy into my wedding. She worked together with my coordinator who were a great team together. Timing, deliveries, set up and ample of staff to make sure all our hard work creating my dream flowers and decor would be beautiful. I got want I expected and more. Thank you so very much Jen!!! Several months before the wedding, Jen told me that her goal was to make me love my flowers on the wedding day. She very much succeeded. When we entered the ballroom to get a sneak peak before the guests, I was blown away!

I know she put a lot of time and energy into making sure we had the exact candelabra and vases we wanted (she drove all over southern California to find them!). And the flowers were simply gorgeous!

Jen operates on a different level than most of us – I think you have to if you’re going to be a designer – and it really shows in her creativity and floral artistry. She does amazing work and you will not be disappointed!

Summary:
I cannot say enough about Jen's passion, artistry, and creativity. Her concepts are original and her unique use of vegetables and non-pedestrian flowers is both refreshing and exciting. Jen was very fun and easy to work with. Her portfolio was by far the most impressive I saw, yet she was the only floral designer I talked to who didn't fear that their creative vision would be compromised by my budget. Gentle persistence is sometimes necessary if you haven't received an expected reply to an email or phone message, as Jen spends more time designing and arranging than checking and returning email. On the day of the wedding, I was floored by the final products, and I'm still hearing about the flowers from my guests.

Creative personalization:
When I saw the personals, and ceremony and reception sites, I was in disbelief -- I had an idea of what everything would look like, but could not have imagined the what I saw. Jen and her staff took creativity and technical skill to the nth level. I was speechless for some time. There was delectable home-cooked food to be had at the reception, but guests were walking around to take in the flowers. In the end, they were awed not only by the designs, but also by the degree to which Jen understood me. Several guests summed it up quite nicely: "The flowers are somehow so 'you'."

Budget:
After our first meeting, Jen gave me a quote for the "dream" version, which she and I would then pare down to a more realistic price. I watched as, in the space of 5 minutes, she worked the list of arrangements, flower types, and quantities to get the effect I wanted at the price I needed. I looked at the total after she was done. She had cut the estimate in half, and it was 2 cents below budget. Magic. On the day of the wedding, I could not imagine what double the budget would have looked like, and knew that even half of what I'd spent would still have looked incredible.

Flexibility:
With 2 months to go, the ceremony venue was shifted to a location an hour away from the reception. I gave her a new budget, which she met, including sending a second set-up crew to the ceremony venue while she worked the reception site. With 2 days to go, the wedding cake fell through and I needed her to design something different for the cake table. No problem.

Room for improvement:
Jen had just opened a retail store when we met in January 2010. It seemed she was stretched very thin, designing weddings and operating a retail shop at the same time. Indeed, the initial estimate and survey of the reception site took a few reminder emails and calls. She has since hired enough staff to take care of the retail side, so that she can devote all of her time to weddings. It is well worth the gentle persistence for what you'll see on your wedding day.

As previously discussed with Jen, I dropped off some ribbon and my "something borrowed" the day before the wedding, to have her incorporate both into my bouquet. On the day of the wedding when my bouquet was picked up, neither were on it!! I was VERY upset about the "something borrowed" being missing (after all, I was just BORROWING it!) and a bit disappointed that my blue ribbon wasn't wrapped around the stems since it matched my shoes and DH's tie PERFECTLY. DH and I both called and spoke with the girls at the shop, and no one knew what we were talking about! {panic} Finally after several calls, they figured out what was going on and sent someone to meet me at our ceremony site to fix the issues. Once the problems were fixed I was thrilled with my bouquet, it looked, and SMELLED wonderful :) My complaint would just be that DH and I had to make multiple calls to get the problem resolved - not something that we should have had to deal with an hour or so before our wedding. I am super happy with the fact that they were professional enough to fix their mistake, and in the end my bouquet turned out the way that I had wanted it.

I was a little disappointed that the corsage that I got for the mother's weren't quite right. I wanted a single phalaenopsis orchid for each but ended up with corsages with some dendrobium orchids instead. Again, not a HUGE deal but I had my heart set on my inspiration picture which featured the single phalaenopsis. As a plus, Jen did include a few extra orchids which I was able to put in my hair.

Stay away from this vendor ESPECIALLY if it's for your wedding.
LIES, LIES, LIES and more LIES.

Jen K will scam you by presenting an amazing mock-up of your centerpiece. On the day of your wedding, you will NOT receive what you were shown.

We were presented a beautiful arrangement of 95% roses with some cream accents of cymbidium orchids for $175 per arrangement. The flowers that she brought to our wedding looked like awful FUNERAL flowers comprised of wilting white roses, ugly hydrangea with some lipstick red roses and disgusting yellow sprouts hanging out of them. The arrangements at our wedding were of 33% roses and MOSTLY ugly hydrangea for $218 per arrangement. Adding insult to injury, she also added YELLOW dendrobium to the arrangements when yellow was not even a part of our BURGUNDY wedding. On top of the centerpieces, she charged me $225 for 3 altar arrangements and presented us with 2 arrangements and 3 small vases for $675 on our wedding day!!!

None of the different varietals of roses that she listed on our invoices were included. None of the color scheme requests were honored.

AGAIN, WE ASKED FOR A *BURGUNDY* wedding with light accents of cream.

We won our case today in court against Jen K for a refund of $2k on our $5k invoice due to the severe discrepancy in what was delivered and what we paid for. Every word that she spoke in court was a lie. She forged documents and presented false words as evidence.

She is forgetful, unreliable and dishonest. She will change her pricing on you if you do not check her invoices line by line. She will not remember to call you at times that you have scheduled. She will forget to respond to emails. She will forget the colors of your wedding. She will forget details that you requested. She will scam you in any way that she can.

Please find an integrity-driven florist to bring your dream to fruition.

Jen is such a beautiful person. She is a true artist. Weddings are her passion and you can tell by her work. Her creations and arrangements are pieces of art. She goes above and beyond what you would expect!
Jen K designed my wedding PERFECTLY with just a color scheme and inspiration photos I had given her!!! I was SO impressed by the little details of it all and how she knew exactly what I was wanting. She listened to what I was looking for and exceeded my expectations! She made each arrangement one of a kind and put so much work into the littlest things and made it so special for all my guests as well. Everything was perfect. My family and guests cannot stop talking about it to this day, and have saved their individual flower arrangements as a keepsake. I even got some arrangements preserved and they decorate our home today! LOVE!!!

Also, being a wedding vendor myself, I come across a LOT of florists and see a lot of arrangements. The most unique and FRESHEST flowers! As I take up close photos of the flowers, I usually have to pick and choose where to shoot, with Jen’s, I can take the photo from any angle and they are perfectly arranged and in great condition with stunning details. Little beads in the center or gems hanging from branches or the specific ribbon wrapped around it, everything is custom to that wedding & bride. I met Jen within my first year and she has been my number one referral since! I’ve used her for my bridal fashion work as well, told her the location/theme and she fits the colors and the style of the bouquet EXACTLY to the scene and look that I was going for, her work blows me away.

Best way to contact Jen? FIND HER ON FACEBOOK or email her – her shop is open for walk-ins but as for weddings, you should schedule an appointment first, she’s super busy - especially on wedding weekends, which are almost every weekend! I wouldn’t recommend anyone else for your wedding or event!

I had a meeting with jen K about my wedding. I told her my budget and was very clear as well as showed her very detailed pictures of exactly what I wanted. I was very clear on my budget! She repeated to me 4 times. We can work in your budget, not a problem. She took notes. I didn't get a quote from her for 3 WEEKS!! She gives me 2 quotes. One quote had NONE of the flowers I wanted. She substituted something much cheaper. The other quote was THREE times what I could spend, but had the flowers I wanted. When I called her immediately, she had the biggest attitude and I asked her 3 times to requote it using the flowers I asked for. She didn't do it. I told her "You should never say you can do something over and over when you have no intention of doing it." She had such a diva attitude, I couldn't believe this girl. Luckily, I went to someone else (Marcia Johnson) who did exactly what I wanted and within my budget. Let me tell you the flowers were breathtaking and everyone, including the men commented on how gorgeous the flowers were.

Choosing Jen K was the best decision I could have made for my flower and decor for my March 27th wedding. Jen and I had a few meetings over the phone and in person about my vision (which I had no idea what it was). She helped me create my vision and the final result was just amazing! When I walked into the ceremony and reception sites, I was just floored. She went over and beyond what we discussed. She even decorated the bathrooms! My bouqet was somehting out of a fairytale. Wow was it pretty. It actually brought tears to my eyes. She worked very well with my wedding planner and all vendors involved. She was great to all my family members and we even invited her to stay for the reception along with her great assistant, Josh. Once the party was over, she made sure everything was cleaned and put away.
We got an amazing price for everything we got and my new husband I could not be any more pleased.
I highly recommend Jen for your wedding floral and design as she was just wonderful!

Jen was the first florist we met with for our wedding. She has a great personality, full of energy and ideas, and very willing to work with different budgets. I was really happy that she only does one wedding per weekend so she can devote all her focus and creativity to your wedding.

She's not the quickest responder by email and a few times in the beginning, I didn't hear back from her at all and she had various reasons such as her computer breaking down twice, etc. This made things a little stressful as I was planning our wedding from out-of-town.

Another surprise was that even though she knew our wedding was at an venue downtown that requires fire permits, she never once mentioned this during our meeting nor during the process when we were coming up with the contract details. For example, she included candles in our estimate, but didn't include candle-holders!! (Who puts just candles on the table without a holder???) Her price to provide candle-holders was extremely high. I found multiple websites online that had cheaper candle holders. She was also going to charge us extra for obtaining the fire permit, even though it's FREE (you just have to prove that you'll meet all the requirements). In the end, my parents went out and bought cheap candle-holders and obtained the fire permit themselves.

All that being said, I absolutely loved the end-result of our flowers. They were colorful, elegant, and was definitely exactly what I wanted, even though I couldn't always express it. She really listened to all my ideas and made our event BEAUTIFUL.

Jen K is responsible for making my wedding unbelievably beautiful. People are still calling me to tell me that they've never seen a wedding like mine. When guests (and myself) walked into the reception, it literally took our breath away! The room was lit up with candles and flowers everywhere! She, not only, created what I imagined, but she added little touches that made the room seem to glow. There was not one single detail left unfinished. When everyone was leaving at the end of the night and she came back to begin taking down the centerpieces, my guests APPLAUDED her because her work was so amazing! She was a complete delight to work with, making me feel that she was excited about MY wedding too! She is a professional, perfectionist, and an artist. I cannot say enough great things about her!!!!!

This florist ROCKS! She is so professional and friendly and an AMAZING artist! I have seen her work at a wedding where I absolutely LOVED the flowers and saw her beautiful work again at the Bridal Show in Newport Beach this past Sunday, I was in awe! So colorful, fresh and the most unique and customized bouquets/arrangements i've ever seen. I definately suggest you check her out, you will absolutely love her! :D
