Awesome Awesome!!! We had our cake testing and I was so impressed with how relaxing and accomodating they were. Their cakes are amazing. And the price is even better. We booked them on the spot. Anthony is great! I cant wait to see our wedding cake.

I tasted Jen's Cakes at Una Bella Sera in San Francisco and was impressed by the velvety, moist texture, whipped cream frosting and flavor. A friend recommends them for wedding cakes since their pricing is reasonable for the quality.

First time I tried her cake was at a bridal faire. She had one of the best tasting cake and lowest price as far as per slice. I thought "no it can't be real". We didn't have a budget for the cake since it was being bought for us as a gift. However DH and I didn't feel the need to be over extravagant in the price. With the first taste of her cake I fell in love. But this was a bridal faire it can't be that good. So I thought... maybe I should just order a cake for a birthday and try it out. Jen was totally open to doing that for us. We paid for it, so don't get any ideas. And I served the cake at a 1yrs old birthday and there was a dead silence. Then my best friend (before knowing it was a trial) busted with "THIS IS SOOOO GOOD YOU SHOULD HIRE THEM TO DO YOUR CAKE!!!!!!" LOL. Sounds hard to believe but that's exactly what happened.

SO we scheduled a tasting and I agree.. Anthony is hilarious and a great person to meet with. We brought the whole groom's side for the tasting and he was very open to it. We even got into a friendly squable over baseball. It was too funny! He's definitely a people's person. And he knows how to cut down to match your budget. It came down from fabric ribbon to fondant one and he said ... our design was already expensive we should stick to the fabric. So we did.

Everyone love the design of our cake and the taste. It was definetly beautiful. Simple, classic, and delicious. Jen is very talented, prompt in responding to my emails, and very friendly. Highly recommended.

We met with Jen's husband for a tasting. Anthony was great, it was a pleasure to meet him and discuss cakes. Although he forgot to take the samples out of the refrigerator for us ahead of our appointment, he was by far the most organized cake person we met. He gave us a map of the cake flavors as it was laid out on the plate. They were very tasty and unfortunately out of our price range. For a 4 tier cake, he initially quoted us $1300 but he brought it down to $1100 when he saw our reaction. I thought their price range is $$ on Project Wedding, but my calculation puts them on $$$+ price range.

Our reception package includes the wedding cake and we were excited to find out that they contract to Jen's Cakes. The cake ordering process was fairly easy. We went to their home and met with Anthony for a tasting. Everything was delicious and we chose three flavors on the spot. Since the cake was part of a package deal, there were certain specs that we needed to ahere to (limited to buttercream and certain designs). But we really had our hearts set on a certain fondant design and Anthony happily obliged and worked out a quote for the balance. From a business standpoint, we thought that they were very pleasant to deal with. And the cake? Our guests are still talking about the Bailey's Irish Cream cake. The verdict: Jen's Cakes is awesome.

Jen's Cakes did an AMAZING job on our cakes! We had a three-tiered square cake and a groom's cake in the shape of a Super Nintendo game system (for my husband). Both turned out AMAZING! Not only did they look fantastic, they tasted delicious as well. I love cake and was so very very pleased with Jen's work. Jen and Anthony were great to work with too!

We went with German Chocolate Cake with Dulce de Leche filling, White Cake with Raspberry Cream Cheese filling and Red Velvet cake with Cream Cheese filling. ALL SO DELICIOUS!

We met for tasting just last weekend and they couldn't have made it easier for us. Although we were a little skeptical at first, since the tasting was at their home, but found their place to be quite cozy. 10 tastings and water led to this decision --chocolate buttercream and 2 flavors, strawberry creamcheese and almaretto cake. We're ecstatic about trying the cake on the big day!

Our cakes from Jen's were all we wanted AND more! We had a gorgeous 3 tiered cake with buttercream and swiss dots. AND a groom's cake shaped like a baseball diamond. Our cakes were a tuxedo cake with white and german chocolate layers. Our wedding cake had a raspberry cream cheese filling and our groom's cake was supposed to have the same filling but it actually had something else (maybe German Chocolate...it had almond slivers) it was very good even though it wasn't what we'd actually ordered. Both cakes were beautiful and very, very yummy. Moist cakes and frosting that was sweet without being overyly sweet! We wanted buttercream but with smooth icing and Jen's was able to do that, it was flawless. We keep getting comments about the groom's cake. The grass even had texture to it and they put our monogram in the outfield.

Like the previous review says, we met with Anthony in their home office and tasted the flavors. There was a handy map to help us remember what everything was and we made a combination from the various flavors and fillings. Shortly before the wedding, Anthony called and e-mailed to confirm the details and our gorgeous cakes were delivered and set up without a problem.

Jens Cakes Rocks! I cannot say enough good things about Jen and Anthony. Jen has a great personality and she will work with you and make you feel at home. When we had a tasting with them for our 09/15/07 wedding she was super nice to us and our kids. The prices were great and the cakes were delicious. We had a three tier buttercream cake with swiss dots and brown ribbon. The bottom layer was a chocolate with a dulce de leche filling, second was a banana cake with vanilla filling and top layer was white cake with raspberry cream cheese filling. We received many compliments from our guests on how elegant the cake looked and how delicious it was.The true compliments however, came from the grooms cake she created for my husband. Since he was in the Marine Corps I wanted to have something symbolic for him. Together with Jen we came up with a cake of his NCO Sword in its case. I was amazed the day of the wedding when I saw what she created for us. It was unbelievable. I would recommend Jen to anyone and I definatly plan on using her for any future event that I have :D

I had a little more of a challenge when looking for a wedding cake-- we wanted to do a dessert buffet rather than a cake. So it wasn't as easy to find bakers who offered this. My cousin recommended Jen's Cakes and said that she does dessert buffets. I went to the website and got so excited when I saw that she did mini desserts-- cheesecakes, cupcakes, cream puffs, tarts, eclairs, brownies, etc. Jackpot!! She offered exactly what I wanted and when I contacted her, she responded right away and was so enthusiastic about doing a dessert buffet. So that made me feel even better. We went for a tasting and she was so sweet and personable. We met her husband Anthony too and he was very cool. Even though I didn't know exactly what I wanted, she was very nice and offered lots of suggestions. My husband has food allergies so she was very attentive. The prices were also reasonable so we stayed within our budget. We ended up going with Jen's Cakes because I really felt comfortable with her and she was very flexible with options. She worked with me on decorations and colors for the desserts and was very patient with me as I changed my mind numerous times. She was awesome! The desserts turned out beautiful and our wedding guests loved them!! We got so many compliments and people raved about how good everything was! So, I definitely recommend Jen. She was a pleasure to work with and her talent speaks for itself.

My cake was very yummy....fresh fruit even in October. The design turned out gorgeous. They were great to work with and made everything easy.

Unprofessional! First, we met Anthony at their home which was not an appropriate place to meet for cake tasting. Throughout the tasting process, we were discourage by Anthony to make any suggestion or upgrade to our design. Also, Anthony seem very comfortable laying on his bench and walking around while talking to us. When he realize we were undecisive if we were going to go with Jen's Cake, he was very rude. Anthony told us "it's not cool" but "power to us" if we decide to choose another bakery. We felt very uncomfortable.

If you want some good tasting cake for your wedding, go with Jen's Cakes! I cannot tell you how many comments we received at our wedding about the yumminess of our wedding cake! And, we had a 300 person wedding!!!! Anthony is extremely easy to work with and very detail oriented. He's great at answering all of your questions and working with you on cake flavors and cake designs. We were very fortunate to find Jen's Cakes and we recommend them to anyone who wants a quality cake at good pricing.

I have provided flowers for several of Jen's fabulous cakes. I even had her design a cake for my wedding a few years ago. The cakes not only look good but as my little one would say " they are a little slice of heaven"

I first had the pleasure of meeting Jen at Jessica and Paul's wedding in Jan 07. She did a lovely tiered cake with chocolate brown ribbon trim. I added the fresh green cymbidium orchids. She was very nice and down to to earth. After that we worked on several more weddings. They were all beautiful creations.
