visited the Jenny Yoo in Chicago when spending the weekend in the city with my fiance. I had been looking for my wedding dress for about two months and been to approximate 10 places or so. Not only were the dresses at Jenny Yoo as gorgeous as they were when I fell in love with them on the website, the staff in the Chicago store was fabulous. The shop is small and intimate and requires appointments, which makes for a very low-key, low-stress bridal environment. I had one saleslady and the entire shop all to myself. The saleslady was extremely personal, made me feel like I wasn't alone even though I didn't have anyone with me to dress shop, and perfectly suited my laid-back wedding style. The dresses were simple and elegant and, even though they were a bit more than I planned to spend, I ended up purchasing the Naomi in their gorgeous duchess satin. The experience was so great I am using them for my bridesmaids' dresses as well. Again, a bit over my price range, but the experience and customer service has been so top-notch it has been worth it. Service via both phone and email has matched experience in the store. Will provide free swatches after your appointment, which have proved extremely helpful during my wedding planning. Highly highly recommend.

I purchased my dress directly from the Jenny Yoo store in Chicago. I was looking for a simple, classic yet slightly different wedding dress and I found the perfect one at Jenny Yoo. The girls we worked with there were always very sweet, professional and accommodating.

I ripped out a Jenny Yoo ad out of a magazine and it was the start of my inspiration wedding board. Their dresses are beautifully made, designed and the colors are amazing. The staff at their Chicago store is really nice, helpful and patient.
I'm so happy, my attendants are happy and everyone looks gorgeous in them!

I bought my wedding dress and my matron of honor's dress at the Jenny Yoo Collection store in Chicago. If you are looking for more streamlined/simple wedding dresses at a more affordable price, then you should check out Jenny Yoo! She had a great selection of wedding dresses and also bridesmaid dresses that were much more modern and affordable than you would find at most bridal salons. Everyone one we worked with was wonderful and our dresses arrived on time and in perfect condition. We both got a ton of compliments the night of the wedding!

Jenny Yoo dresses are classic! I have not gotten mine yet, but I cannot wait (I bought the Riley). The only gripe I have is that my dress is one month late (reason being it is a Spring 2010 collection dress), and they charge you for the full amount up front instead of taking a deposit amount, and then charging the rest once they are finished with the dress. On the upside, their staff is very helpful and responsive, and for the most part, the prices are pretty reasonable. Overall, my experience with Jenny Yoo has been pretty good!

My bridesmaids and I just went to the Beverly Hills Store last weekend. I have 9 so you can imagine the chaos! We are a young group ranging from 21-27, so I was really looking for something that wasn't super "bridesmaid-y." The pictures on this page do NOT do this store justice. You have to see their new line on their website. The dresses are SO adorable. I want to order a few just to have! They are so figure flattering and they have multiple styles in the same fabric for the different body types. I chose 3 styles and then let my girls pick from those. THey are all obsessed with their dresses and look absolutely gorgeous. They are the same price as JCrew and the dresses are so much better quality. Definitely check them out!!

Well, the dresses are beautiful and the staff was nice enough, which is the only reason that I'm giving a 2-star review instead of 1-star. Bridesmaid dresses cost $300-$350 on average (which is pricey, in my opinion) and bridal gowns cost $800-$900 (which is reasonable, in my opinion).
I am a bride to be, and went to the Jenny Yoo showroom to look for my wedding gown.
HOWEVER...
The wedding gowns are the same as the bridesmaid's gowns, just in white. The dress that I fell in love with is $375 for a color and $825 in white. From what I could tell, there was no discernible difference besides the color, nothing to explain the $450 price increase.
When I inquired about the price increase, I got this response:
"Our bridal dresses are made on a separate individual line than our bridesmaid dresses. Our bridal collection requires an additional layer to the dress to ensure that you can not see through the fabric. Chiffon especially being a lighter fabric requires the additional layer to the dress. The Bridesmaid version of the dress we do not do in a white. The Bridal dress is priced higher due to the extra labor and construction involved."
So, basically, that extra layer costs $450, when the ENTIRE DRESS in another color costs $375? I could stomach a $100 increase for an extra layer, but that's it.
Sorry, Jenny Yoo, but I call BS, and I won't be purchasing my dress from you. It just sounds like another example of ripping someone off because they're getting married.
(And just to clarify, it's not that $825 is out of my budget. I'm more bothered by the principle of the whole thing)

Beautiful selection and very attentive service. My MOH and three BMs looked amazing in their rich dark teal dresses. Each was beautiful and slightly different in style but all were the same color. This is not an inexpensive shop (approx. $250 each) but well worth it. Great dresses and flattering styles.

We went here to shop for a flowergirl dress for my niece. We found the most beautiful dress for her in blue-green organza. It was gorgeous and she looked like a little angel!

I have nothing nice to say about the people at Jenny Yoo. They ruined the whole dress buying experience for me. It was a disaster, and nobody seemed to care except for the poor sales girl who had to deal with all the mistakes that the other sales girl made, and lie for the hire-ups, who wouldn't even return my phone calls! What happened was the sales girl I origionally dealt with in the Chicago store, let me order a dress with colors and fabrics that I picked, that actually didn't exist! I had ordered a bridesmaid dress, as my wedding dress because I wanted something less formal, yet still beautiful, I thought this was going to be perfect, I was so wrong. Apparently the girl should have never let me order the color combination that I did because I was told "that's not how they make them". The best part was that nobody told me it wasn't possible, only when I recieved the dress ( 12 wks later) and I said it was wrong, did they inform me that they can't make it the way I ordered it! My wedding was about 6 weeks away! They offered me a 10% discount on the wrong dress, that's tax in Chicago, what a joke! I was so stressed and upset trying to figure out what to do!! Long story short, nobody from the office in NY ever called me to appoligize, they were all a nightmare! I ended up with a dress that I didn't order, and only took it because I couldn't find a new one in enough time. They also told me the way I ordered it wouldn't look good anyway, so I was going to keep the one they sent me with one alteration that they said they could fix, from my origional order. After that took longer than promised I had to call them, and they informed me that they were making me a whole new dress, as I origionally ordered, and it would be a couple more weeks! They didn't even tell me they were going to do that, they just assumed it was ok. Meanwhile the staff at the Chicago ofc. had already convinced me that it wouldn't look good that way, so I was freaking out! I told them what their staff had told me, and I couldn't believe they would make a decision like that without consulting me first. I said I had been scared off about the origional dress and I just wanted the one change made that they had told me they were going to do in the first place. It was crazy, who does business this way! They also screwed up my order for addtional fabric that I bought from them to have made into a wrap, so that had to be reordered as well! So by the time I got the dress and fabric and had it altered I had 4 days to spare until my wedding! So would I reccomend Jenny Yoo, not a chance in hell! Never did get any appolgy from any sort of manager from NY, or a call from miss Jenny herself as promised!

My dresses were great, the girls looked beautiful and the color looked great in pictures. Her dresses are a little pricey, but worth it. However, 2 of my bridesmaids spaghetti straps broke off during the night! Not what you expect when you spend all that money.

I'm not using Jenny Yoo for my wedding, but I recently wore one of their dresses as a bridesmaid in my brother's wedding. My sister-in-law and I went to the Beverly Hills store together, and then we came back with her sister (the other bridesmaid). At both visits Melissa was really kind and helpful. Although I didn't end up getting the dress I liked the best (Carmela), the dress I did get was beautiful (Anastasia). The color was exactly what the bride had in mind, and the quality was really gorgeous - the silk lining was to die for! The groomsmen's ties were also from Jenny Yoo, and they looked really good. The only thing that I didn't like is that it was definitely a Bridesmaid's Dress with a capital B - I can't imagine wearing it again. However, I really don't blame Jenny Yoo for that - I don't think there's any way for a pink shantung silk dress to not be bridesmaid-y!

My bridesmaids loved their dresses and it looked great on each and every one of them! We all know how hard it is to find the perfect BM dress!! Great selection, great staff!

The dresses looked great on my lovely bridesmaids! Another perk of these non-cheesy looking dresses is that you can dye them after so they are more usable.
The company is also very helpful. When one of my bridesmaids got a little busty over the months after ordering a certain size, we were able to order a little swatch of fabric to get it taken out, plus they sent directions to give to the alterations person so they knew exactly what seams to take out that would be most cost effective! How great!
The best bridesmaids dresses out there.

The dresses here are gorgeous and the service is outstanding. All the consultants are super nice.

Pictures are worth the proverbial thousand words, so check out the photos of my bridesmaids and flower girl in their Jenny Yoo dresses in my bio.
Jenny Yoo did such an amazing job on the bridesmaid dresses for my wedding--every single one of them turned out gorgeous, and the ginger dupioni silk was perfect as a fresh neutral against the vibrant greens of our outdoor wedding and reception. I was also impressed by how flattering a color it was on each of my bridesmaids, and their skin tones ran quite a range.
Most of all I loved the individuality that each of my bridesmaids was able to express by choosing her own style from such an array of cuts, and yet they all looked so harmonious together. The quality of the fabrics and construction is impeccable--these are clearly dresses made to be worn again and again. I am tempted to get my own floor-length dress in ginger just to keep on hand for formal occasions--that's how much I loved those dresses and the color. The only difficulty would be choosing just one style!
Also, my flower girl loved her Jenny Yoo dress, too, and it fit perfectly and has such a timeless elegance. I love how it harmonized with the bridesmaids' dresses but also let her stand out in her special role.
And finally, their service was great--it made such a big difference to me knowing I was working with people who really care, and they even helped make sure the dresses got to me in time to send on to my bridesmaids who live in England. It was also great that my friend who lives in Manhattan was able to try on and pick up her dress there, and my friend who lives in L.A. got to work with the Beverly Hills store directly, too--I was very impressed by the coordination between the locations and how seamless it all was to me as a customer. I couldn't be happier with my decision to choose Jenny Yoo for our bridesmaids dresses, and of course I will be recommending them to all of my friends as they get engaged.

After going through a lot of different options my BMs and I were all happy with Jenny Yoo. Her prices are steep, but the fabric and the cut of the designs make it very flattering to the body. There are a lot of dresses in her collection (particularly in the chiffon line) that are very "in" and look fabulous. My BMs ended up choosing whatever style they wanted from the shantung line. The color is maroon with a terra cotta sash. While I was visiting LA (my hometown) I stopped by the Jenny Yoo shop there. Ellen Yoo (Jenny’s sister) runs the Beverly Hills store – if you are thinking of using Jenny Yoo for BM dresses I recommend that you make a trip down there. Obviously, they have a great selection of the whole collection in a multitude of sizes – and they really do a good job of pinning the dresses to fit the girls (as opposed to clips) so you really get a good idea as to what the dress will look like. I found this to be very important – especially because all my girls are so tiny, clipping a size 10 dress on them didn’t give them the most accurate idea of what the dress would look like on them. Jenny Yoo has some great designs out there (some that I would even consider buying for myself) and the service at the Beverly Hills salon was so superb – no great sales pressure and extremely helpful.
The bridal collection at Jenny Yoo is simply stunning. I went here for my own wedding dress and was presented with so many options and they were all within my budget, which was a definite plus for me. For anyone looking for a classic and timeless dress with a bit of something unique to add, you should look here!

She is the founder and designer of Jenny Yoo Collection, Inc., a highly successful and rapidly growing company within the bridal industry.
Upon graduating from Parsons, she worked for a private label company before becoming an associate designer at Ann Taylor. She recognized the importance of understanding consumer needs, but was frustrated with the creative limitations faced while working for a corporate label. She was determined to pursue her dreams.
Jenny’s passion was to create and design her own collection of bridesmaid dresses. Upon starting her business, she recognized the absence of understated, yet uniquely stylish, quality bridesmaid dresses. She combines her visionary and creative expression with her corporate background experience to create a fresh, modern approach to dressing today’s bridesmaids.
Jenny’s clear vision and motivation for redefining today’s bridesmaids has driven her company’s rapid success of recognition in the bridal industry. Jenny understands that while weddings are a tradition, rules can and need to be broken. Her modern yet elegant designs emphasize her philosophy that one must evolve with the footsteps of today’s changing times. She launched her first collection of bridesmaid dresses in November 2002. It was the beginning of her successful road to make a mark and create a new niche in the bridal industry.
In such a short time, her reputation has blossomed and she has been featured in countless editorials and televised media coverage. Several of Jenny’s dresses have been featured on NBC’s The Today Show in its “The Today Show Throws a Wedding” for the past 3 years and in 2005, her dresses won the prestigious top prize. She has been featured in numerous publications like InStyle Weddings, Martha Stewart Wedding, Town & Country and many more.
Jenny’s vision, direction, and designs are refreshing and continues to raise the bar in the industry to redefine bridesmaids.
