Jill was excellent. She was prompt, pleasant, talented, and flexible to work with.l

First of all, Jill is majorly talented! I gave her some of my ideas, and she told me what would work/look best for me, and of course, she was right on the money! Brides, trust her talents!!! She knows what she is doing!

I went for a trial run to her house and she made my girlfriends and me feel very comfortable. We laughed and chatted with her as she worked her magic :-) My girlfriends pointed out to me that having such a social beautician would be very helpful for keeping my mind off other things on the big day (they were right!) After the trial run, my girlfriends and I went out for a couple of drinks. I got so many compliments on my "all dolled up" appearance.

Although I loved my hair and make up for the trial run, I was completely blown away on the actual wedding day! Jill made me feel like a princess! All my girls and my Mom loved their hair and make up! Jill and her assistant (I forgot her name :-( were willing to work with us until everyone was satisfied! Such fun, talented ladies!

My husband and I decided to do the first look, and I'm glad we did because Sandy (the hurricane) created a lot of wind. Since I have pinstraight hair, I knew I would lose some curl. Jill made sure to give me a more wrapped look since I wanted curl and a half up hair do. Most of the curl held, but having a hurricane sure made it challenging. Please know that this had nothing to do with what Jill did or didn't do! She was fantastic! However, being outside for pictures for over an hour after a hurricane will certainly test those curls. Honestly, I was the only one who noticed them falling a tad :-)

My make up was superb! I do wear make up, but don't know a lot about it. Long story short, BEAUTIFUL and LONG LASTING!!!

Thank you Jill for sharing your talents, great stories and making me feel like a princess! I have already made recommendations to friends (and one of the girls in my bridal party has already used her for her engagement shoot :-)

Jill and her team were fabulous. I went for a trial with my mom and Jill took her time with me, even re-doing both hair & makeup when I wasn't sure what I wanted. On the wedding day, she was punctual and ready to go! We all had a great time laughing and chatting all morning and my makeup was even better than I could have imagined. My hair had a bit of a hard time holding its curl that morning but the end result was beautiful and stayed in place all afternoon and evening. It was worth every penny to not have to worry about hair or makeup touch-ups and actually get to enjoy my wedding!

Working with Jill was horrible – she doesn’t have any customer service skills. She will not speak to anyone but the bride (so forget about your maid-of-honor or mother calling to set up an appointment or asking a question about her hair). Jill tried to ruin my pre-wedding experience. She fought with me on the phone and made me so frustrated on multiple occasions that I was close to tears. This is not how planning a wedding should be. DO NOT USE HER SERVICES. Her one saving grace is that Felicia and Kimya, the stylists who actually did my hair and makeup at my trial and on my wedding day, were lovely and did a great job. I would use them again, but I would rather do anything than deal with Jill again. There is something wrong with the picture when the customer has to be the professional one and apologize to the service provider in order to get her services.

I looked at many makeup artists and hair stylists for on-site services. Jill's style was exactly what I was looking for and her prices are very reasonable. I liked Jill right away, she is engaging and funny and easy to get along with. For my trial I went to her house. She did an excellent job and I immediately signed the contract (splurge for the airbrush makeup - you won't be disappointed!). My maids and mom all raved about her and her staff, they loved the way they looked. I would definitely recommend her.

If I had any feedback at all in the area of improvement, it would be that there were a few times that I reached out to her when she did not respond, and then when she did, it seemed as though she would ask me for informationt that i had already provided to her. It wasnt a bad experience by any far stretch, but an opportunity for improvement in regards to communication is there.

When I was asked to be a bridesmaid for my niece's wedding, I was super excited. Then, I remembered that my niece is in her early 20's and all of her friends are also. At 35, the thought of being showcased with a bunch of 20 somethings is not my idea of a good time. So, in a panic, I called Jill. You see, I drive a forklift for a living so make-up is not first on my list of worries during the day. Jill was super patient with me. The make-up she did for the trial run was absolutely beautiful. Since the wedding was in Conneticut and I live in Maryland, Jill showed me how to do my eyes so that I could showcase their natural beauty. I felt gorgeous on the day of the wedding!

Jill and Felicia did an amazing job with hair and make-up for my wedding. My mom, bridesmaids, sister-in-laws, etc all looked stunning! They arrived on time (despite getting lost in DC), managed their time well and kept the mood casual and carefree. I would recommend Jill and Felicia to a friend.

I would recommend Jill Sherrard to anyone for her make-up and hair styling expertise. The morning of my wedding, I didn't know what I wanted as far as make-up was concerned, so I just told her to do whatever she thought would look best. Wow! I am glad I let her do her thing because it looked wonderful! She did my hair for my wedding as well and it was exactly what I wanted. I also had a tiara and veil that I was going to wear but I had forgotten to bring them, so she went out of her way and arranged to have someone get the tiara and veil from my house and bring it to us, in order to give me the best hair style that worked with the kind of tiara and veil I had. She really cared about giving me the best hair and make-up style and she went above and beyond what was expected of her in order to do that. Everything was done in a professional manner, while we were also able to talk and laugh the entire time. I felt very comfortable working with her. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience and I would recommend her to anyone!

Jill and her staff were wonderful! They came on time and were so professional! They fitted right in with all the girls! Every 8 of us girls had a unique hairstyle that was just absolutely gorgeous! I would recommend these girls for ANY event! They will definitely be called upon again for other weddings in our family!

Bring pictures as a guide so you can show what kind of style/look you want. One of my bridesmaids changed her mind about her hair being up, and they were completely willing and open to changing her style. Everyone looked great. The staff was on time, easy to talk to, and helped to create a stress-free morning! There were a few conflicting price quotes given through emails or in phone conversations, so it is helpful to request contract early on. To get hair and make up done was a bit more than you'd pay at a salon, but it was worth the comfort of getting ready at home with everyone nearby. Overall, we were very pleased!

Jill’s talent as a hair and makeup artist is absolutely wonderful. On the day of my wedding, she did the hair for my two bridesmaids, makeup for my mother, and both services for me. Let me just preface this review by stating that it poured on the day of my wedding. I’m talking like monsoon conditions, with tornado warnings all around the area. But through the treacherous rain and incredibly windy conditions, my hair and makeup didn’t budge. Nor did the bridesmaids. Even when the rain let up for about 15 minutes, and we were able to run outside to snap a few photos, my hairstyle was able to withstand all the wind. I received compliments all night, and still continue to have comments 4 weeks after the wedding. My bridesmaids and mother looked beautiful, and I felt like a bride out of a magazine. With all of the drama and running around, it was nice that my hair never had to be a concern throughout the entire evening.

I would also like to comment on how responsive Jill was to all of my emails. For those of you planning a wedding, I’m sure you have dealt with the vendors who don’t call you back and ignore all your emails for days, adding more to your stress level. I never had to wait longer than 12 hours to get a response from Jill. She had to be the least-stressful person I worked with, because she was so diligent about getting back to me. I never had to sit there fretting when it came to her. She is totally flexible with your schedule, totally willing to work with your vision.

In closing this review, I would be remiss if I did not comment on just how great Jill is as a person overall. She is more than just a fabulous beautician. In the two times that I met with her, (the trial run and then again the day of the wedding), I had an absolutely awesome time with her. Jill has such a vivacious personality that you can’t help but feel happier when you are around her. I’m pretty sure she knew how worried and nervous I was the day of my wedding, as I constantly stared out the window awaiting the rain to start. But she somehow has this way to put me at ease, and that everything would work out just fine. I didn’t feel like I was just another one of her clients; in all honesty, I felt like I have known her for years. She was completely entertaining during the 5 hours she was with me and my bridal party, and never slowed down for a break.

I would highly recommend Jill’s services for the day of your wedding, or any special occasion. You will not be disappointed at all. Her prices are a great value compared to others in the area. If you read the other reviews, you will see that we all state how much we loved the results of her work. And, you will have such an awesome time hanging out with her. Thank you so much, Jill!

Jill created beautiful and unique hair and make up styles for me, my mom, and my bridesmaids. All of my girls were very happy with their looks and the photographs definitely show how much time and skill they put into each girl.

Overall, Jill and her staff were a pleasure to work with. She allowed me to add on an additional friend only days in advance of the wedding for the same per person prices we had previously agreed on. The day of, they were cheery and had they not told us, we never would have guessed that they had already been working for hours by the time the team arrived for our 8:30 AM appointment. Jill's staff was extremely accommodating of even my pickiest bridesmaid who requested that her hairstyle be redone twice!

Jill did a fabulous job on my make-up for the wedding!! Everything was perfect and the make-up was seamless. I wanted to go with a very natural look and didn't want it to standout because I generally don't wear make-up. Jill was so very attentive to my concern. She did the most amazing application and it was EXACTLY what I had wanted. I was very satisfied with her knowledge and professionalism. Do yourselves a favor, brides to be or even bridesmaids, get the quality look you deserve on your special day; go with Jill!

I had my hair and makeup done by Jill on Jan 22nd, 2012. She was such a delight to be around. Instantly, she made me feel comfortable and relaxed while doing my hair and make up. I never once doubted her color choice for my eye make up or my concealer shade. She made my complexion very natural looking and blended perfectly with the rest of my body. No one likes a two toned girl.. My hair was beyond beautiful!! Its amazing what a few curls and some bobby pins can do! she curled and pinned up my hair like I have never seen and it turned out amazing!!! If only I could do that myself! Over all I loved Jill and will MOST DEFINITELY recommend her and use her services again!!!!

Jill and Monica did mine and my girls' hair. We loved how our hair looked, and they were really pleasant to work with. We also loved how they came right to our location so we didn't have to drive around with our hair done.

The only parts I didn't think were perfect was the price (a little higher than other companies I considered) and how it was a little hard to stay in touch (Jill is super busy, so I understand but it did make wanting some changes a little tricky).

Overall, my hair was great and she really helped me start the day off well.

Jill and her staff did my hair and make up on November 13, 2010 and it was gorgeous! My husband couldn't keep his eyes off me! And everyone kept telling me how wonderful I looked. She really knows right when she looks at someone exactly what makeup techniques to do to bring out your best features. She is high energy which is exactly what is required of someone bouncing from person to person perfecting everyones look and keeping everyone happy and upbeat at the same time. She was great and I would reccomend her to anyone!

Jill did my hair and make up and my sister in law's hair and make up and we loved it! Everyone kept saying how great we looked and kept asking who did our make up! Jill was great! She was very professional and made me and my bridal party look fantastic. She and were team were flexible and understanding of everyone's needs. They were very efficent too; I had 9 bridesmaids, 2 junior bridesmaids, and some relatives, and we were done early!!! Jill and her team worked at my recent wedding. She brought an extensive team with her and provided makeup for myself, five bridesmaids, my mother, and my mother-in-law. One member of her team, Kim, was especially wonderful. She fit right in with my girls and I and she did a wonderful job with their hair and the mothers' makeup. When Kim and the rest of her team showed up, it was in a bit of a whirlwind. It took an hour or so for the room to return to the calm state that it had been before but they definitely added an energetic boost to our morning. Overall, the work that Jill and her team did was wonderful. I have never had so many compliments on my hair and my makeup looked wonderful in the photos.

This vendor was absolutely amazing. They did an outstanding job and provided a great pre ceremony atmosphere.

Jill was great. She is friendly and very good at what she does. She works with a number of hair stylists that are also good at what they do. Jill and her team of hair and makeup stylists (Monica and Kristen) did my whole wedding party's hair and makeup and they were fabulous! First of all, I called Jill in a panic a week before the wedding because I had decided that the salon I had originally booked at was not going to work out. Jill was so accommodating and flexible - and did everything in her power to fit us in. Not only was she gracious enough to do that - but she also did hair and makeup for 8 other people (bridesmaids, moms, grandma, and sister-in-law)!! Jill and her team were SO professional and most importantly listened to every request we had - and our hair and makeup turned out perfectly! I would highly recommend Jill and her team for their excellent service! :)

Jill was amazing. Everyone looked great even with an outdoor wedding on a very windy day. :) My hair never fell and my makeup looked great all they way through the after party which was almost 12 hours of awesome hair nad makeup. Even my grouchy, never gives complements Grandfather said how beautiful I was. She was also able to handle those "Why don't you...." comments from people with total professionalism. In response to one such request for more eyeliner on me, Jill looked at me and simply said "That is not what she wants." For me, that was worth every penny!!! :) Anything you can do that limits the number of fights on your wedding day is well worth it. I can't say enough nice things about Jill and her staff.

I had a 7 bridesmaids. All got their make up done and 5 got their hair done. All loved their look! (And they are not all the easiest to please!) I normally like a natural look, so I was worried about getting my hair done. Amanda did a great job making it look natural and done up at the same time. Jill was on time and ready to go the day of my wedding. All of my bridesmaids looked perfect. Then she even did my grandmother, which we'd not discussed previously. My wedding hair was a disaster, so I decided to fix it myself. Although we had only contracted Jill for make up, she stepped in when she saw me getting frustrated with my hair and she made it perfect. I don't think I could have made it through the first part of the day with out her! To top it all off my make up was flawless. From the moment I traveled to see Jill for a consultation, I was impressed. Jill is very experienced and has worked with very diverse bridal parties. I had an extremely diverse bridal party (Indian, Asian, Caucasian, African American) and Jill and her team were able to make everyone of us look natural and stunning. Jill's hair team was also very experienced in working with hair of different lengths and thickness. Prior to the wedding, Jill had informed me that she only needed 3 hours to do 7 bridesmaids, myself, and my mother. This at first, made me very nervous considering I didn't think it was enough time. Jill assured me that she and her team would get it done. From the moment they showed up to my location, they were super efficient. They each had a bridesmaid assigned to them and got everyone in and out with time to spare. In addition to their professionalism, they were a joy to work with- and my bridesmaids and myself truly enjoyed their company. Jill and her team did a wonderful job!

Jill and her hair girl Amanda were absoulutely great! She responded immediately to my phone call and quickly set up a hair trial. She was flexible in letting me get my makeup trial and my sister (Maid of Honor) get a hair trial- it's normally only the bride. Jill and the staff showed up on time and were so caring and wonderful. Jill had a hand full. We had 1 bride , 1 mother of the bride, and 5 brides maids. I think that best part of Jill's service is they come to the location where bridal party is, it could a be a hotel or house. My mom was a nervous wreck. One minute she was laughing and next shedding tears for the big day. No matter what Jill and Amanda were there to laugh, cry and fix us up. All my bridesmaids said in the morning was one of the best moments of the day. We had so much fun the morning and that just set the mood to having fun. All the guest at the wedding mention how all the bridesmaids look like super models. They was no time through out the day I worried about my hair or make up. Since I started this whole wedding process. I found the Jill's services were outstanding. I would recommend Jill and her staff to any bride!

Jill and Amanda are so wonderful! They not only made me look incredible, but they were so much fun to hang out with before the wedding! They were so flexible and it was really nice to have them do all the hair and makeup on site - it really simplified the day! The experience was top of the line...I could not have asked for anything nicer!

I cannot say how glad I was to find Jill to do my make up and my bridesmaids and her stylist, Monica, to do our hair for my wedding. Jill was great from the start, had a great attitude and we all looked amazing! Even my mother who never wears make up, Jill put her at ease and she looked so beautiful! She respected my wishes for a "natural look" and I felt like royalty. Monica did a great job on my hair and I heard compliments on it all night, even from the men folk! My wedding make up and hair were beyond my expectations. Having everything done on site made the day stress free and relaxing. Not having to rush around on the big day made a huge difference. Prior to the wedding we reviewed my style and with her suggestions we came up with a natural make-up look for my wedding day. During this pre-wedding session Jill took photos that I got to review. I do not like to wear heavy foundations and Jill provided beauty without the look of caked on make-up. Jill provide make-up services for my mother, my bridesmaids, and me (the bride). Everyone was happy with her suggestions and she was a delight to work with on a stressful day.

I have worked with Jill Sherrard on two separate occasions. One, a bridal shoot and the other a fashion and prom dress shoot for a bridal shop. Jill's makeup artistry surpassed my expectations immensely. Not only was I able to enjoy her company but she did a phenomenal job. So good, that I keep coming back to have her be my makeup artist.

She is quite flexible and very helpful, she'll be traveling to Philadelphia soon to help with my makeup once more, so she's very open to travel. I believe if you want quality work and wonderful pictures, pick Jill.

Seriously, the bridal shoot she took pictures of me and I ended up using hers rather than the photographer's! So, she's versatile!!!! And she can quick fix hair, makeup and wordrobe as well! I love collaborating with Jill and I highly, HIGHLY recommend her!
