Jin Patisserie

I have tasted the world's most delicious pastries, chocolates and cakes created by prominent pastry chefs. Kristy should be exalted as the new Queen of patisserie. My favorites are the Green Tea mousse cake, the macaroons that put Parisian's own La Duree to shame! A taste of heaven - very true indeed!

Jin's do wonderful high tea sets and cakes. For a visit to the patisserie in Venice, I would heartily recommend anyone (though go early before they run out of various of the menu items!). However, I'm not convinced that they are yet geared up to cope with either their newly expanded menu or large (not that ours was that large - 30 people) catering orders.

They promised to put everything in boxes that would fit in coolers as we were collecting the food and taking it a long way but they used different boxes and told the person collecting it that nothing needed to be cooled (this included the chocolates, little pastries, the quiches and the cream!). This meant that not only did everything slide around and get mushed up but that it was all melted anyway.

I understand that this may have happened partly because the owner, Kristy, was away. However, that was no excuse for our wedding food being ruined. Kristy was very responsive to our complaint and I am awaiting a partial refund.

If they can get their organisation together, Jin's would be a great caterer. As it stands, I cannot recommend them.

Delicious, uniquely flavored chocolates with well designed packaging which I used as favors at the wedding. They can customize the packaging and flavors. Ordered the small cakes for my wedding shower and gave the cookies and chocolates as a part of the shower gifts. Kristy and her staff are detail oriented and provide faultless customer service. Love the courier; so convenient.
