Jodi was great to work with, she has a great personality that kept the bride and groom smiling and laughing which made the pictures so authentic. Jodi has an excellent ability to catch the natural light and a talent for editing the pictures to perfection. I would recommend her highly and would definitely use her services for future events and occasions!

Jodi is SO AWESOME!!!! I love our wedding photos and cannot stop looking at them! Jodi has such a great eye and is so creative (she made my groom's boutineer out of plants around our hotel room). The process was so easy - we live in AZ and planned a trip to have our wedding photos taken at the beach. Jodi was referred to us by my cousin and we feel SO blessed! Jodi was so fun to work with and spent all afternoon with us chauffeuring us to various locations to make sure that we got the photos we wanted. I really feel your wedding photographer can make our break your special day and Jodi made it SO AMAZING!!! It was such a great experience! She got us our photos quickly and has been available to answer any questions I have about them. The editing she did for us was wonderful as well! I am looking forward to going back to Cali for some family photos taken by Jodi. She is just THAT GREAT!!!!

We had so much fun working with Jodi, from the engagement shoot to the wedding day. She'll make you laugh and feel comfortable with the camera, even if you're not initially. She's a lot of fun!

Jodi Betancourt of Jodi B. Photography has a wonderful personality that makes her very easy to work with. We used Jodi for our engagement and wedding pictures. She worked well with our wedding day schedule and was efficient taking pictures before and after the ceremony. Our final pictures are beautiful and I was extremely pleased with the quality. My only complaint was with getting in contact with Jodi at times, however, this never affected any of our plans. I also was a little disappointed that I never received a picture that I was hoping for and Jodi has not gotten it to me. Overall, though, for the price and quality of her pictures, Jodi was a great choice for our wedding photographer.

Jodi was the photographer for my wedding last September and I cannot rave enough about how AMAZING she was! I am also a photographer, so it was hard to find someone I could trust to photograph our big day. I also live in Colorado and she was so easy to work with and plan from another state! On our wedding day, she made everyone feel very comfortable, made us laugh, had fantastic poses and was very professional. She blended in to our ceremony and did not disturb with obnoxious flashes. She was early and dressed professionally, but was still able to move around and do her job. I cannot say enough about how fabulous she was on that day and the photos turned out perfect! I am so glad that I stumbled upon Jodi's site and I would recommend her to everyone out there because she really adapts to your personalities!

Jodi made art work out of every photo for our wedding. Can't even count the times people gasped and raved over her work. She captured EVERYTHING! Not only did we get the traditional shots we wanted, but her modern and creative twist made for such fun photos! I would reccomend Jodi B. to everyone. Thanks Jodi!!!

Jodi was amazing!!! I could have never pictured a more perfect day on my wedding day.... except for the fact that I did! Jodi caught everything on film that I wanted I can relive the entire day years from now! Great for the price she really worked with us! Every little bit helps for a wedding and she really did help us out! Thank you Jodi!!

Jodi took wedding pictures of my husband and I and I was thrilled with the results!! She has a way of capturing the moment in her pictures. Jodi Betancourt is off the charts amazing. I first worked with Jodi at a clients destination wedding. Jodi had never met the couple before the wedding day since they lived across the country, but she immediately made the couple and the entire bridal party feel at ease. What do your packages include?

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?

You will get all your bride/groom pics in regular color, and typically some sort of Color tinting, black & white, and/or sepia toned. I offer art prints, albums, and canvas wrap gallery prints as well.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?

I have experience with all types of lighting situations. I have seen every type of lighting situation possible, and come prepared for no lighting to too much lighting.

Is your media preference film or digital?

I am 100% digital and wouldn't have it any other way! The images are superior and it allows for much more creative control of each image.

How many photographers do you work with?

Your choice. Packages range from one photographer to two. One will definitely suffice ALL your needs, but if you'd like two, we have plenty of qualified photographers on hand.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

Yes, unless I am dying! I have 3 other professional shooters that shoot with me on a regular basis. So either way, if I did become gravely ill (that hasn't happened yet in my career) you would be covered 100%.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

I never book more than one wedding per day. Occasionally we will book two weddings in one weekend.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

A substitute photographer of high qualifications will be dispatched by Jodi B Photography to photograph your wedding in the event of an unexpected serious illness. However, I will still do all of the editing and album design.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

I prefer Canon bodies and lenses. I bring back up bodies and lenses to every event. I have back up Quantum Q Flashes and Battery Packs for supreme lighting.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

Of course...you never know what can happen, so it is always best to be prepared for the worst! :)

Do you charge hourly or full day?

My packages are 8 hours standard...if you'd like to purchase more hours you can do so, at $250/hour. If you need less hours, you can let me know how many hours you need and we can go from there to create your specific package to fit your needs.

Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

We don't typically take breaks, we just go with the flow of the day and supply our own snacks and whatnot. Most weddings we've been to the caterer will supply us with a plate or a snack of some sort (most people don't want to be photographed while they're eating) so that is typically when we grab a snack and some water. But there's no worry in regards to meals...we're completely fine and come prepared! :)

Do you charge for travel?

We do not charge for travel within 50 miles of Corona, CA. If your wedding is farther than that, you will pay for the travel expenses (airfare, hotel, gas or whatever the travel entails). Email me for your personal wedding details.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

You will receive your images within five to seven weeks of your wedding (depends on the season).

In what format are the initial proofs offered?

You can choose to just view them online, or you can order a proof book containing every image taken at your wedding.

How long can the client keep the proofs?

Forever

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

Yes I do, but you will receive full use rights of the images, which means you may print, upload or share the images as you choose to.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

I do reserve the right to publish the images online or in albums and magazines, however I will usually ask your permission first.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?

Yes I do, see question above, but you will receive the images on a high resolution disc and if you choose you will receive the images in a proof book and an album of your choice.

Will images be available for viewing online?

yes

What kind of albums do you offer?

I offer flush mount albums with a variety of album cover choices, sizes and print styles, and I offer standard coffee table albums

When will the client get the final album?

Once I have your image choices, I design the album, post it online and send you a printed copy so you can approve the final design. The album company usually takes around 12 weeks to build the album. It may take a little longer during busy holiday seasons.

Additional Advice

How much of a retainer do you need to hold my date?

The retainer is $600 to hold your date. The deposit does go towards the cost of your package. It is non-refundable.

What if the packages don’t fit my needs?

Then we can build a custom package including exactly what you want.

Are the albums archival?

Yes they are. All pages of the album are printed on archival photographic paper which is run through traditional chemistry. The images are then sprayed for additional protection. There will not be image fading. And, the covers are guaranteed by the album company.

1. The most important tip I could give a bride and groom is to have fun at your wedding. You have spend a lot of time planning your big day so enjoy it! Your wedding pictures will be much more beautiful if we can see the love and joy on your face.

2. Suggested guide for timeline:
1 hour with the groom and his groomsmen getting ready and having a fun shoot with the guys
1.5 hours or more with the bride and her bridesmaids "getting ready" and her with all her girls
30 mins for your ceremony (a typical ceremony is usually 20-30 minutes, allow for more time if your ceremony is over 30 minutes)
15 minutes for group family shots immediately after the ceremony
20 minutes for group shots with groomsmen and bridesmaids
40 minutes with bride and groom alone
3.5 hours at reception (or longer if you need)

3. Assign a friend or family member to assist photographers during the group shots. Someone who knows the families will be able to keep people together to make sure the groups shots run smoothly, and quickly. It also helps if you can provide a list to them so they can call out the names of who needs to be in each picture. Also if you tell the family members ahead of time, they will be in a picture immediately after the ceremony, it will give them a heads up to stay around.

All in all...Let your creative juices flow, so that your styles are reflected! This is your special day, so remember to have fun, enjoy yourself, and don't stress out!!! I want to capture your hearts and the passion on that day, so feel EVERYTHING! Laugh, cry, dance, gaze into eachother's eyes and act as if I'm not even there! Most importantly, remember to just love on eachother and take it all in...don't worry about a thing on your day...it is all about you two!
