When my parents were married 30+ years ago (this was before digital), my mother's cousin was an aspiring photographer. He offered to shoot their wedding and create an album for them as their wedding gift. My parents accepted. To make a long story short, when her cousin was developing the pictures, he exposed all of the film to natural light, destroying all of the images. 30 years later, I can see how much my parents regret not hiring a professional photographer. Its because of this that finding the perfect photographer was so important to me. We kept our wedding very modest, but wanted to spare no expense on the perfect photographer. As soon as we sat down with Joe, and looked at his previous work, we knew immediately we wanted him for our wedding. We were not disappointed. We could not be be happier with the quality of our pictures - and the album he put together for us is absolutely stunning. We continue to get compliments on our pictures - and many friends since our wedding have sought Joe out for their own wedding. We used Joe Dolen Photography for our engagement and wedding pictures, and we will definitely be using his services as we begin to expand our family!

My husband and I enjoyed our experience with Joe beginning with our first appointment at his office. He was very flexible with our wishes - payment plan, traveling to NYC for our engagement photos, and very easy to get in touch with through the whole process! Joe even would reach out to us in advance for information, which was great to keep us on track and in the loop! The best part was that he got so many great shots, but we did not feel overwhelmed with the photos at any part of our wedding. We really had a chance to enjoy our wedding and know that Joe, and his colleague, were taking great photos! I look forward to working with Joe in the future for other events and photo sessions!

Joe put my husband and I completely at ease from day 1 (which is hard to do when neither of you likes getting your picture taken!)
The package we drew up was great value, an excellent price for the services we wanted and nothing we didn't need/want.
Before the wedding we met with Joe to outline the shots we wanted to have taken. We asked he keep the photo session to 45 mins so we could spend time at our party and he was great about respecting that while still getting all the shots we wanted.
On the day he was constantly running around getting all those important pics but I only know this because I have seen the photographs. He was amazingly inobtrusive... I barely knew he was there until he asked me if there was anything else I needed or wanted him to capture.
We got our proofs in less than 2 weeks (and would have had them sooner if we hadn't been away) and within a week of that he was ready to start on the album. The photographs are beautiful, really capturing the day for us. I can't wait to see the album!

Joe was gracious enough to photograph our wedding for us this past June. We are so impressed with his style and creativity with our pictures.
