This is me......speechless. I <3 Joel Serrato! If you are lucky enough to have him available on your date.....BOOK HIM! I mean now! This is the stuff you will be looking at 10 ...20 years from now. He is so artistic and passionate about his work and it shows. My wedding planner told me her biggest regret was not hiring a videographer. Joel's videos of OTHER peoples weddings make me cry. I am talking about people i dont even know. I absolutely recommend Joel for your wedding. I promise you will never regret making a place in your budget for him. On top of all that he is super sweet and easy to work with!!
Of all the vendors I hired Joel turned out to be the best! We loved the wedding film he produced and would not change a thing about it. He was great to work with (easy to communicate with, very friendly, and we barely noticed him the day of the wedding). I would highly recommend him especially if you think you wouldn't want a wedding video. There's no flashly lights or big equipment; the video is short (which is great for showing to friends - no one wants to see a 4 hour wedding video) and the footage is set to great music. The quality of the video also gives it an old-time feel and I like the way he is able to film in both color and black & white. Joel can capture "the moment" in a very artistic way -- watching the video for the first time makes you feel like you're reliving your wedding day. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. He's totally worth it!!
Joel's specialty of shooting weddings in super 8 film is ideal for brides who want something really different from the usual wedding video. I am drawn to his hauntingly beautiful work and have no hesitation recommending him to my clients.
