He was everywhere. He let us know when he arrived and he asked us when we'd like him to leave. When I wanted a picture I would call his name and he was always nearby. He directed the wedding when it needed direction and stayed out of the way when it was directing itself. The only time during the evening when I couldn't find him was when he had told me that he's scouting for a nice photo op outside of the venue and he came back immediately to gather us for it.

This photography company is absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Every employee was very helpful, friendly and professional. it's obvious they have been in the business a long time because they knew exactly how to make me feel happy to celebrate, happy to plan and happy to do business with them. Sam and his associate were my photographers and they made my wedding day even more wonderful than I had hoped. They were on time and very friendly. They made me and my bridal party very comfortable and within five minutes we were all friends, laughing, celebrating, enjoying each others company, and it seemed as if they just so happened to be taking pictures at the time. I just got to see my pictures and I'm so happy with them. Sam got some great shots and everything came out just beautiful. Sam is very talented at what he does. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Our photographer was Johanna and her assistant Chris. Both were very professional but fun and great to work with! They took amazing pictures and we are so glad we went with Joey Ikemoto photography.

Where do I start commenting how wonderful Joey made our wedding photography experience? He is such a nice and down to earth guy for the level of experience/ talent/ end product he and his staff possess and produces. This is one professional i gladly recommend with enthusiasm. His work is truly amazing.

From the beginning, Joey was exceptionally professional. Joey is so very organized, his listening to what the customer wants, and communication of what is feasible to available time was impeccable. By Joey's sit-down sessions, me and my wife saw our wedding day unfolding and planned a beautiful, realistic, and flexible shot schedule that more than accommodated what we envisioned for us and our colorful family.

Joey's calm, but driving demeanor allowed for such wonderful shots of me and my bride's colorful family without being the least bit snooty, obtrusive, or being demanding. He definitely knew how to spotlight my beautiful bride on her wedding day, which made me ecstatic. We never knew Joey and his assistant was there until the major shots.

Joey was awesome! He was fun and creative. He made our wedding party and guests feel comfortable and relaxed, and he made them laugh. He had a picture montage of our wedding on his web site in less than to weeks and we were able to share it with all our friends. Many of our friends had used him for their wedding so we knew he would be good!

The vendor gave me 20% discount for our weekday wedding. Joey's professionalism and his reputation along with the detail planning made me so confident that he would provide us the best quality photographs. His personality was well received during the reception; my in-laws were so impressed that they decided to hire him for their Christmas portraits this year!

I don't think we have ANYTHING bad to say about Joey Ikemoto Photography. Throughout the year and a half planning process we had for the wedding, I immediately became a huge fan of this photographer! And after booking, I constantly went to the website to look through slideshows of their recent weddings just to ogle the beauty of their shots. I absolutely melt when I look at their photography. And the studio is beautiful if you get a chance to visit. They are extremely friendly and experienced artists. Our slide show is up, but we can't wait to see the lot of the pictures.

I LOVE my pictures!! I have nothing bad to say about the day at all. The photographers were very professional and everything turned out beautiful! Because we were operating on a budget, we didn't opt for the package with Joey Ikemoto but rather had one of his associate photographers (Sam Sean) do our wedding. I've gotten so many complements on my wedding pictures and I would totally recommend Joey Ikemoto Photography!

Joey was the first vendor we booked for our wedding - we actually booked him over a year before our actual wedding date to make sure he was available! He is on the expensive side, but he is worth every penny! He is very talented and has a great personality. He was so easy to work with on our wedding day and he kept us laughing all day. Our family & friends were also very impressed with Joey on the wedding day and he also is great at getting children to smile in front of the camera which is not easy to do. He has a lot of experience with weddings (his studio shoots weddings every weekend!), and it definitely showed in the way he handled our wedding. If you are looking for a photographer who is experienced, talented and easy to work with - Joey is your guy! He is one of those vendors you can book and not worry about a thing! He also helps plan your wedding day about 3 months prior to your date which we found to be very helpful. He was definitely one of our favorite wedding vendors!

So far we've only done the e-photos, but Joey is awesome. He's hilarious so he keeps us smiling, very laid back and easy to work with. We had our planning meeting with Wayfarer's last month and the wedding coordinators there constantly had good things to say about Joey. If you're having your ceremony at Wayfarer's Chapel, you definitely NEED to hire him! He walked us through our wedding day pictures timeline and he knows the chapel grounds like the back of his hand.

When we had our chapel planning meeting, we happened to be there for a wedding that had just finished. They had another photographer and it was a total mess! There was utter chaos and the bride was yelling for her guests to get out of her photos! Our wedding coordinator was adamant about guaranteeing a scene like that would NOT happen with Joey =)

Our e-pics were great! I can't wait to order some photos and post them! Everytime we call the studio, they're extremely helpful. Every interaction we have with Joey and his staff makes us even more confindent that we've chosen the best possible photographer =)

Our wedding's not until August, so I'll update this review then!

Our wedding was last Friday and we are even more amazed by Joey's work now that the wedding has come and gone. He had us laughing our entire wedding day. He worked quickly and efficiently and was even great at entertaining a misbehaved ring bearer during pictures. Joey provided great direction without making all the smiles and poses feel like a chore. If you're getting married at Wayfarers, you must have Joey Ikemoto for your photographer. Everyone, from the chapel coordinators to the Ministers, were 100% accurate when they told us Joey was very talented and extremely organized. He also has a great staff and offers a wedding registry with their studio. My husband and I are so happy we chose Joey as our photographer. Thank you, Joey!

Joey is a well-known photographer in the South Bay. He is professional, yet has a great sense or humor that gets the best smile from you and your guests! We couldn't wait to get our proofs back - Everyone looked relaxed, happy/excited... All of the emotions you would expect on your wedding day are captured. Our photo album is original and my entire family loves it! Joey also did our engagement session for us - my husband and I felt that Joey truly captured us in those 100s of pictures that he took!

Our hotel lost power and Joey was on his way to the hotel and bought us drinks for the bridal party right before we were supposed to start taking pictures before the wedding!

We loved working with Joey and Mike, we spent a long time with them on our wedding day and they made us feel very comfortable and at ease, they were great! The pictures turned out better than our expectations, so much so that we're having a hard time to pick them for our album. Joey and Mike thank you so much for your professionalism and for being so nice and patient on our wedding day!

I can't say enough about Joey and his staff, WOW! He made our day so very special from the minute we met him. His work is outstanding. I have already put the word out about Joey to friends and family. My dad was a photographer also so I know photographers and Joey is by far "one of the best"

Joey Ikemoto Photographers are the best. My Photographer Sam was amazing. I get tons of compliments on my proofs..yes just my proofs. Sam did whatever it took to get the shot. As my aunt said, "You can tell the difference from a low budget photographer who does it on the side, to a professional." I love my pictures and would refer Joey's staff anytime.

The man is a pure professional, plain and simple. His work (and I do mean artwork) is stunning and he gets an outstanding combination of artistic poses and scenes as well as the logistical basics (such as table pictures, cake cutting, and ceremony pictures). The man is worth every dime and his staff is first rate as how they handle your situation. You may find that his pricing is also fair because you are not locked into a package - no penalty is you order something "different."

Joey is a great photogragher. We couldn't be more happier with him. He is very professional and puts out work that is both artistic and modern. We love his work and would highly recommend him to everyone for any occasion.

We love the fact that our photographer's took so many pictures of our wedding. It was difficult to choose from all the great images! They were also easy to work with and didn't "boss" us around when it came time for taking photo shots. I first used Joey Ikemoto for a family portrait and most recently for my Wedding. Both times, Joey Ikemoto and his staff were awesome. They are true professionals and very personal able. We highly recommend Joey Ikemoto, both the photographer and his studio. Joey was incredibly easy to work with and put everyone at ease. He had one assistant with him, who was also just as nice and easy to work with. So many of our guests commented on how wonderful they were throughout the entire day. The first time we we were able to see some of the photos that Joey took of our wedding, we actually felt emotional, because they were so beautiful. Also, our guests have all commented on they love our photographs. Our guests thought the pictures were not only beautiful, but also creative, imaginative and artistic. I would highly recommend Joey Ikemoto as a photographer for weddings, any other choice would be inferior. My family and I were totally impressed and blown away with the photographs from our special day. The quality and images of the photos that Ikemoto captured were spectacular. They were so specific and accurate to the emotions everyone felt throughout the day…..from the beginning, during the preparatory period to the ceremony and reception, the photographers did not miss a beat. Even though it has only been 6 months since our wedding, my husband and I still do get teary eyed when looking through the images from our wedding day. It is difficult to express into words the art and emotions he creates with his photographs, you have to just view it for yourself. In addition to the beautiful photographs we received, another benefit was that the staff was amazing to work with! They were punctual, organized, fun and personable. With the excitement of the day and the copious amount of details the bride has to think about, Joey and his staff were able to keep everything and everyone organized amidst the chaos. They knew how to keep things running smoothly and efficiently throughout the whole day. They were also helpful in providing suggestions to our videographer for capturing great camera angles; especially since our videographer was unfamiliar with working at our particular reception site. Being the bride for the day, you do have high expectations for how things will turn out, since it IS such an important day in your life. In terms of wedding vendors, choosing the best photographer was highest on my priority list. Speaking from the heart, I could not have chosen a better company than Joey Ikemoto Photography. They definitely surpassed my expectations in multiple areas. I can tell you that I could not have asked for a more professional, talented, experienced, brilliant, personable group of people to work with. So thank you Joey, Tracy and Gerry for all your hard work and capturing one of the most memorable days of our life on film.
