John was beyond exceptional to worth with. As we all know, a wedding can be of great stress and test everyone's limits. But, from the moment I sad down for our first meeting he had a way to put everything at ease. His organization, sense of humor, and the way ot not letting you know the camera was there--was fantastic!

I love my photos and highly recommend for any event!

I can't express how happy I was choosing John (Derry-Aires) as my photographer. John was very flexible and accommodating. He went above and beyond my expectations. I thought John was priced at a good value for the services he provided when comparing with other competition. The formal pictures came out great, but the candids captured the moment of the day. My album came out a masterpiece. All my pictures were accessible on-line which made it easy. I was a very picky person. John had the patience and handled all my requests. John was very responsive from beginning to end and didn't pressure me (even though it took me a while to get going on the picture selection for my album). I was clear to me that John put his heart into his work. John was easy to work with, was well liked by the guests, and not intrusive.

I would highly recommend John to anyone, you won't be disappointed.

What do your packages include?

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?

Image enhancements, custom cropping, sepia toning, black-white photographs and more are all available.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?

Derry-Aires works in all lighting conditions..available light indoors, outdoors..daytime, evening, strobe lighting , fill lighting.

Is your media preference film or digital?

Derry-Aires works with professional digital equipment

How many photographers do you work with?

1-2 depending upon the need.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

YES

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

Never more than one engagement in a day.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

primary and back up cameras and lighting

Primary and at least 2 back-ups for each major piece of equipment

Package and hourly rates are available.

It depends upon the distance and the package selected.

3-6 weeks depending upon the time of year and number or imaes

In what format are the initial proofs offered?

Derry-Aires provides preview (proof) images in a variety of possible formats, prints, magazine, press printed book, online, slide show cd.

How long can the client keep the proofs?

forever - other than web-posted, previews are yours to keep when included in the contract.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

yes

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

yes

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?

at a fee upon request

Will images be available for viewing online?

yes unless otherwise agreed.

What kind of albums do you offer?

Caprri and Renaissance, mat and flush, many sizes and formats

When will the client get the final album?

Generally 7-10 weeks from the date of order.

Additional Advice

Derry-Aires designs Bridal albums and Parent albums online- clients have the ability to manage the design and layout of each page of their album and

no album is finalized without the clients final approval. YOU have control over the process and product in which you are investing.

As a parent and a wedding photographer, I have one piece of advice:

Your cake will be eaten, only crumbs will remain.

Your music will become dated and fade away.

The limo will eventually be traded in for a newer better model.

The words of the ceremony will fade in your memory... .until:

You look at the photographs.. which will become your : Images to Remember.... Forever

Professional portrait and wedding photography is an investment, not an expense. As your memory of the day fades, the images gain in value !
