DJ Jon Seltzer

We chose Jon Seltzer as the DJ for our wedding because when we met him we had a great conversation about music. We have pretty particular taste in music, but we also like some embarrassing pop and 80's hits. It was nice to have a DJ who is knowledgeable about music but doesn't get condescending or judgmental about what we wanted to play. For our cocktail hour, we even asked if he could provide a mix of reggae and cha cha music which he assembled himself and which sounded fantastic. In addition, he helped us set it up so that my husband's Dad and his quartet could sing a few numbers with their own guitar.

Jon was very professional and proactive, and he had no problem contacting the caterer and location manager on his own to determine his setup. He even accommodated our need to have music on both the upper and lower levels of our location without needing expensive additional equipment.

During the reception, Jon had a good feel for the crowd and since he is also a voiceover artist he has no problem doing announcements and speaking in front of everyone. He has a great sounding voice and he's the perfect emcee. Everyone thought the music he came up with for the crowd was terrific and the dance floor was full the whole night. I would definitely recommend Jon to anyone who's looking for a fun DJ.

I am happy to provide a reference for Jon - he is awesome! He is a musical encyclopedia (loads of musical knowledge), and is very charming and charismatic! He was very patient and helpful in all our discussions about playlists (I am VERY picky about music), he was always well prepared, and is professional and punctual. Our wedding itinerary went very smoothly, thanks to Jon being a very good MC - he seems very comfortable with a microphone and in front of a crowd. I also noticed that he is very good at paying attention to the crowd and realizing what styles of music the crowd is reacting well to, and keeping that going.

Jon was awesome. He went beyond our expectations. It was always about us and what we wanted. He had what seemed like this unlimited music selection and could play anything requested. Everyone loved him cuz he was warm, approachable and had a great sense of humor. I've been to other wedings where the DJs had horrible attitudes but Jon was great right off the bat.
He's also a professional musician so he knows, like, every song ever written. I didn't think I wanted a DJ but Jon made things run so smoothly and people never stopped dancing.

It was a great night and Jon was perfect. He played everything we
wanted to hear. We received all kinds of compliments on his work.
But the best part is his personality. He was outgoing, friendly,
receptive, and accommodating. Anyone who spoke with him just loved
him. He made everyone -- especially me, the stress case that I was --
feel very at ease and comfortable. And he actually looked like he was
enjoying himself as well -- a true sign that he loves what he does!
