I have been a working actor for several years and in that time have worked with several different photographers. Jon is the BEST photographer I have and will ever work with HANDS DOWN. He has a way of capturing every single moment you want to remember in the best light possible. Going through his photos makes you feel like you are living that time again, an ability that is above and beyond the competition.
I have gotten so many compliments off the photos he has done for me not only for their beauty but also for the professionalism and creativity shown at my wedding. He made it fun and easy for everyone.

As I sat down to write a review for Jon and Lori (his awesome wife who does beautiful flowers for incredible prices - I give her five stars as well) I thought to myself, "I am going to write them the most glowing review ever!" And then when I looked at the other reviews on the page, I realized I was not alone - everyone else had given him five stars as well! I am not surprised one bit. Jon did an absolutely amazing job with the photography, and several of our friends and family members have mentioned this to us. Of all the items and services we purchased for our wedding, photography was the most important, and I literally scoured Google from top to bottom, reviewing the work of more photographers than I can count. We spoke with dozens and met with several. For easier reading, here is a list of reasons why Jon Woodbury does the best photography in the greater Salt Lake area (and I am picky):

1. He creates a perfect balance of posed and candid pictures - he is very creative and clearly has an eye for a great shot.
2. He can capture a moment, and will make any quick "tweaks" if necessary - without disrupting the flow of the event.
3. He has a gift for editing photos to bring out the best in every shot. He keeps them natural but isn't afraid of adding some artistic flair in creative shots.
4. He can recognize people's best features and make them look like models (no exaggeration here).
5. He is SO flexible. He and Lori didn't bat an eye when I made last minute changes to the schedule (i.e. asked them to come earlier). He flowed with our event and stayed until the wee hours to make sure he captured every moment. It was a very long day for him but he was so cheerful and hardworking the whole time.
6. He is a riot to be around - super funny and personable. He's professional yet relaxed and upbeat. He was genuinely touched by our ceremony - it didn't feel like we had another vendor at the wedding...it felt like he was a friend who happened to be taking amazing pictures the entire day!
7. His prices are more than fair. Maybe I shouldn't say this, but I feel like we got WAY more than we paid for. We were on a teacher's budget, and I truthfully did not think we would be able to afford such incredible service and amazing pictures. I am so thankful their prices are so reasonable!
8. The Woodburys are a dream team. As I mentioned earlier, his wife Lori does flowers, and she does so beautifully - with the best prices I found in my search. I don't know squat about flowers, but she took my extremely vague descriptions ("Something nature-y with lots of wildflowers and vine-y type things...) and created something that was ten times better than what was in my head. Truly - we felt blessed by the Woodburys. I didn't think I'd say that about "vendors" we hired for the wedding, but they are more than that - they genuinely love what they do, and it shows both in the quality of their work and their awesome personalities.

Jon, Lori and Andrea were so fantastic! We loved that THEY loved what they were doing and they shot the big picture and all of the awesome details. And they were fun and east to work with and have at our wedding- super important! The shots we have seen so far are amazing and we can't wait to see more. You won't be sorry- hire them- these guys are great!!

Jon did a fantastic job! We had a really diverse and fun crowd, and he didn't miss a beat! He made a lot of adjustments, worked really well with our guests and the bride and groom and he seemed to have fun during the whole process, which added to our event!

He went above and beyond in taking literally thousands of photos and stayed into the wee hours to continue to capture the great moments. The bride and groom were very happy with his extra attention and time!

He was professional, organized and really flexible!! I would highly recommend Jon (and his wife Lori is equally great).

Jon and his lovely Wife Lori were top notch with our daughter Erin's wedding. From the engagement photos to the very end, he has done top notch quality work. We love so many of the photos that he took that we had to choose all of them so far. We loved the Bridal photo shoot and the creativity of all of his work. We absolutely love Jon & his wife Lori (they are kind of a package deal!) Jon has an incredible eye and, if you tell him what you're looking for (or even give him a vague idea!) he can make your dreams reality.

Jon and Lori were both fabulous to work with! Jon did our photography for our engagements, formals, reception, wedding day, and luncheon. Lori did all of our flowers. I was really impressed with the amount of time they spent with us before the wedding getting to know us and our personalities and styles. I know this played a huge part in how our photos turned out - they were comfortable and fun! Jon was super flexible. We changed the date of both our engagements and formals last minute because of weather conditions, and he had no problem with it. During our shoots, there seemed to be no pressure or time restraint. Jon was focused on getting the best shots possible, even leading into the evening to get sunset shots. He definitely goes the extra mile to give you more than you expect. He captured our personalities and had fun with our style. I loved how all the pictures turned out! And, the website he uses makes it so easy to view and download your images. It was hard to narrow down because we had so many favorites! Both Lori and Jon are fun people and easy to work with. Lori was very flexible with my last-minute decisions on flowers. She also was helpful in giving me ideas of where to get good deals on anything wedding :). I was really stressed with who to go with for our photography and am SO pleased with this decision. Jon was great to work with. I love the pictures that were taken of my wedding and I would refer anyone to him. I love the way that he captured different moments that were different and unique than other photographers. I also loved the coloring of the pictures. We took pictures in front of a sunset where my husband asked for my hand in marriage. The pictures were breath-taking.

Weddings by Woodbury was wonderful! Jon was extremely professional and never once complained about us dragging him around all weekend! He gives great direction and makes you feel natural and comfortable through all of the different shots. We had seen his work from a friend's wedding and knew he would be our photographer! Also, he has such great knowledge of what works and what doesn't, he gave us a bunch of pointers about how our wedding ceremony should flow. Lori provided our amazing flowers and was completely accomodating with my many requests and changes, even last minute. I didn't have to worry about taking a single picture all weekend, because I knew that Jon cared about capturing the different stages of our event just as much as we did!

We LOVED Jon!!! Every bride has told me their one regret was not getting a good photographer. After hearing that countless times, I am thrilled that we had Jon. He did our engagement shots, a formal shoot (to relieve the stress on our actual wedding day), and all the events of our wedding day. I did a lot of research for a photographer and kept on feeling like I would either be settling or paying way too much money. Then we came across Jon's work and I was hooked :) We are SO pleased with all of our photos!! There are some amazing shots! We have had so many compliments on them. Even more, he was very easy to work with and flexible. We changed the location of our engagement shots due to the weather and he rolled with it (even though it ended up being a 2 hr drive for him one way!). He has a way with large groups. Taking the big party/family shots after our ceremony was a piece of cake with him in charge. He does well with the kids too. He is so good at capturing emotion and the moment (e.g.; a young boy standing in front of an assortment of cupcakes at our reception with the most indecisive and pensive face). He does outstanding work!!

Jon and Lori Woodbury are an AMAZING team! Jon did your pictures and Lori did our flowers for our wedding. They drove all the way from Utah for our Madison, Wisconsin wedding - without a glitch! It is rare to find people who go above and beyond, but Jon and Lori take their jobs beyond above and beyond. They are such a friendly and easy going couple that truly give their all. As far as the pictures go, Jon captured the very emotion of the event. I didn't even know he was taking pictures because he moved about the space so quickly and quietly. He caught so many precious moments and then his editing was the icing on the cake. They are a fantastic, reliable, trustworthy couple to work with and I would highly recommend them for any wedding - big or small.

We ABSOLUTELY LOVED having Jon for our wedding photographer. Choosing a photographer was a very important decision for me, since I am very picky about photo quality. I am so glad I chose Jon since he not only put both my husband I at ease, but his excitement, kindness and enthusiasm was an additional highlight to the day. He had done my sister's wedding several years ago and I remembered how wonderful he had been in working with all the kids. He had such an energetic personality and was so fun with everyone in the wedding party and all guests that I already have two people who were at my wedding who want him to photograph their wedding. I had a lot of fun with Jon as my photographer and am very pleased with his work.

We are so happy we decided to have Jon cover our wedding. I saw the work he did at my friend's wedding and we knew we wouldn't find anyone better, and we were right! He was very professional and gave incredible service. We had him for the whole day and he captured every moment we wanted remembered. He handles large crowds incredibly well and gets genuine expressions with his wonderful wit and humor. He knows all the other aspects of capturing a wedding besides just taking good pictures. We haven't seen better wedding photography anywhere else, we were so lucky to have him. Not only did we get a great photographer but we made a great friend as well. He is our number one recommendation.

Jon did an outstanding job for both our engagement and wedding photos. We wanted somebody who could capture our day in order for us to look back and not have a single memory that we didn't remember, and he did just that. When I planned my wedding, I knew the photography was the most important thing to me. I am not naturally photogenic and I knew it was going to take someone with incredible vision and talent to get pictures I would want to look at the rest of my life. I looked at literally hundreds of wedding photographers before I chose Jon and he did not disappoint. Jon has now done 3 weddings and 2 group pictures for my family and I would never go with anyone else.

Stunning pictures aside, Jon is an absolute riot to be around. His energy and sense of humor are so refreshing during all of the stress of planning a wedding. I relied on his wedding expertise numerous times whne making those crucial wedding decisions. Bottom line, you would want Jon at your wedding even if he wasn't your photographer.

They are just fabulous, please hire them, you wont be disappointed. They help you in every way they can and are so genuine about it. Lori and Jon arent after your money, they really love what they do and care about you individually. youre not a dollar sign to them. I felt so beautiful ad comfortable. Great pictures, awesome customer service, what else can you ask for!!

When I was looking for a wedding photographer, I visited tons of websites and at the end of every day I would go back to Jon's. His work was absolutely breathtaking and unique. After meeting with him and his wife, I decided there was no other way to go. Jon and Lori Woodbury were incredibly helpful to me throughout my engagement, giving suggestions for the overall theme of the wedding, helping design my announcements, arranging my flowers, and of course, taking my engagements, bridals, and wedding photographs. Jon spent our wedding day at our side, capturing all the sweet moments. Many of my friends have complained about taking pictures for a LONG time after the ceremony, but Jon was so enjoyable to be around that the time just flew. We have hundreds of images from the wedding day and couldn't be more pleased with how they turned out. We have had multiple friends use him as their wedding photographer after seeing our photos. I feel incredibly blessed to have worked with him and to have his images in my home. He has incredible artistic talent, an engaging sense of humor, and the real ability to make you look natural and beautiful in his photographs. I would recommend him to anyone.

When my husband and I were looking for a photographer we both had a pretty clear idea of what we wanted. My husband, being a photographer himself, was even more picky than I. We looked through MANY portfolios of photographers all over the state and although we could see that they were skilled it seemed like they all only did a very specific thing to their taste. Jon Woodbury is NOT that. What we love most about Jon is how perfectly he takes your vision and translates it into something more beautiful, interesting, and fun than you even knew possible. He is the most versatile photographer in the state hands down. Since doing my wedding I have had the pleasure of working with him for friends weddings as well as other projects and I am impressed each time with the talent and care that he puts into each job. My experience with Jon Woodbury has been vast. He has taken headshots for me; he also photographed my bridals, engagements, and wedding.
In a world saturated with images, it is crucial to find a photographer with the ability to express you as a person. Jon takes the time to know his clients and know what is important to them. Jon Woodbury is truly the best photographer I know. As an actress, I have worked with many. Jon Woodbury Photography did my engagement and wedding photos (as well as flowers, decor, and other theme ideas). My pictures are sensational. Jon has a real artistic flare in his work. His pictures look professional, personal and just delicious. I am so in love with his work. In addition, he is a dream to work with. He is kind, funny, professional, reliable, works hard and puts you at ease.

Jon Woodbury is such a great photographer. I love his work it has a sense of joy and energy that makes me want to live the event over and over. He truly has a talent and an eye for his work.
