We met with Jonathan for the first time in the lounge of the Hilton where we were staying for our weekend of wedding planning. Casually he pulled out on his iPad some of the most detailed and flawless photos that I have ever seen-and not just wedding photos!! We were hooked! He was relaxed, he listened, and he attempted to get to know us as to better capture our day right from the start! A destination wedding for us, we relied heavily on the references of other vendors who had developed a reputation in Vermont as THE. BEST! While new to photographing weddings, Jonathan is without a doubt THE. BEST!

He possesses such a natural talent for eying a picturesque backdrop or the finest detail and capturing it, elevating something that might be missed by most to a breath-taking scene filled with beauty and emotion! His pictures are stellar. His attention to fine-tuning-perfect! And then there's Jonathan. ;-) He is professional. He is innocuous-totally unnoticed by scrutinous elders wanting the ceremony to be kept sacred. He is fun and spontaneous! My husband and I escaped from our celebration for a mere ten minutes and in that short amount of time he managed to capture the best shots of the night! We laughed with him, expressed emotion with each other, and he captured our connection shot after shot! He rolls with the event no matter the circumstance and he is ALWAYS lurking just where you want him to be. There was not a single moment missed during our event!

His prices were right within our budget, but are actually TOO LOW! (Not that I am complaining!) If he were to ever take his work to New York, he would be able to increase his fee ten times and still beat out the competition! He also would NEVER be available as he would be booked years in advance!

Jonathan Couture took some amazing photographs at our wedding, using a variety of lenses and angles that really showed his talent. Having never worked with him before, we could not be happier with the outcome of his work. It is quite clear that photography is his passion and art and coupled with his organization and professionalism I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer.

Maybe best described by a guest at our wedding as the "sniper camera man", Johnathan has a great talent for capturing the moment. His artistic vision and his use of lighting and angle generated some amazing candid pictures. His high energy made the staged photos fun and easy. He was organized and efficient in getting through the list of combo pictures my husband and I had chosen (i.e. bridal party, parents, etc). I can, with great confidence, recommend him to anyone in the area who is need of a photographer!

Jonathan was amazing to work with and he was able to capture so many moments throughout the whole day. Jonathan was flexible, patient, and creative. He also made everyone feel comfortable which provided some great candid shots! When we look at the pictures we feel as if we are re-living that day and all of those incredible moments. During a wedding, you don't have a lot of time to take pictures, after all you have a lot of people there that want to see you. So taking off for picture time needs to be an efficient process. Jonathan does an amazing job, getting people to the right spots, at the right time, making the process a bit more effortless. My husband and I found ourselves having to move our wedding up a few months due to an illness in the family. We planned a wedding in one month (from scratch) and were incredibly relieved to hear about Jonathan through several friends and colleagues.

Jonathan was easy to work with from the start and more than generous with his time before, during, and after the big day. He truly listened to and understood what we were looking for in our wedding photographs: lots of candids of us with our families and friends and a focus on faces. He understood that we didn’t want to spend our precious time on formal group shots, and got those done efficiently and BEAUTIFULLY!

Jonathan has an incredible eye for capturing the mood of the day. He was able to capture the sweet, intimate, laid-back, last-minute craziness of our wedding day. The photos he delivered were exactly what we were looking for and MORE. The only tricky part will be choosing the one to frame! Jonathan even had a slideshow of highlights ready the next day! Our wedding day was a blur, as many are. Thanks to the incredibly talented, Jonathan Couture, our day has been captured to a degree we had not thought possible. His ability to capture the tender moments and emotion of the day is unmatched. Every time we gaze at our photos, we are immediately catapulted back to that moment and with great feeling. I cannot express how happy we are with our photos and experience. Our attendees commented on several occasions how fun he was and how comfortable he made everyone feel. We would highly recommend his services!!!

Jonathan was extremely flexible, professional and willing to do just about anything we had in mind! He was very creative and instantly acclimated to our personalities to capture just the right moments. We are not exactly the most helpful subjects and left most of the artistry up to him! He made us feel comfortable and brought us out of our camera-shy shells.

He arrived early and truly worked with us. We were eloping so the fact that he had the pictures ready for us the very next day was amazing. He was exceptionally prompt and easy to contact.

The quality of the pictures are outstanding. There was just a very short ceremony and not even a handful of people; yet, he still managed to create an album full of wonderful images that our friends still comment on. I can only image what he could do with a traditional wedding in a "proper" venue.

Prior to asking him to photograph the ceremony I asked him a million questions about his equipment, his availability, references, etc... He accommodated each and every question quickly and honestly.

Lastly, my wife and I were very particular about who we asked to photograph our wedding as we are a same sex couple and did not want to feel uncomfortable whatsoever on our day. Jonathan didn't even bat an eye at this and incorporated several "traditional" poses as well as shots that were unique to us as a couple.

Overall I would certainly recommend Jonathan to any couple who wanted a fun, professional, and talented photographer to capture their day.

Jonathan was fantastic to work with, fun and easy and made the day so much more enjoyable! He even had photos ready by the time we came back from our honeymoon! I would highly recommend him to friends and family for their special day.

As a wedding planner I am always looking for the right vendors who will not only match with the clients but with all the other vendors, and who will work as a team player.
