Jonny Black is the best, we were so lucky to find him! He was very professional in all of our meetings and made sure to know exactly what our taste was and what we didn and didn't want played at our wedding. he had great suggestions and helped tailor our music to keep everyone dancing. He is great at reading the energy of the crowd to keep the party going. He also did our lighting which turned out beautifuly. We would highly recommend him!

SO happy with Jonny and his team! From the moment I emailed Jonny he was super responsive, I literally got a call back within 10 minutes of my email. He kept in contact thru text, calls and emails. He worked with our budget to get up lights, ceremony music and pin lights for the cakes. Jonny and his team were amazing at helping pick out our songs and they never played anything we didn't want, they judged the crowd and kept the night moving! We danced the night away! I can't thank Jonny enough for such a wonderful experience!! He's extremely personable and we felt like he took the time to get to know a bit about us and figure out exactly what type of feeling we wanted the wedding to have. He was great with offering music suggestions and we felt 100% comfortable trusting him to play music we would love, which he did! Other than the important songs (first dance, mother/son etc.) we didn't even have to give Jonny a list and everything was perfect! We received so many compliments about him from our guests and people are still asking us for his contact info! He had our dance floor full all night and was able to help coordinate all the toasts, cake cutting, etc. Absolutely wonderful experience, if you want a DJ that will make sure you have a great party, Jonny is your guy!

Working with Jonny Black Productions was a great experience. We contracted him to provide a photobot for our reception. OUr wedding ran late, and they worked with us and stayed over to make sure everyone got their picture taken. The scapbook is great quality and something we will cherish forever. Highly recommended!!!!

Jonny and his staff made our reception rock!! Jonny took our song list and created a perfect blend of genres. Everyone commented that it was the best wedding they had ever attended!! The photo booth and photo book were amazing, the photos and guest comments placed in the book make for great memories. I can't thank you enough, Jonny!!

Having great entertainment is highly important at your wedding and I'm am so happy we chose Jonny Black Productions! Jonny was great to work with and our guests really had a great time that night. Jonny Black did an amazing job on my wedding day! My parents and older relatives even commented that the music during the dinner was amazing! They are into the old school Spanish boleros and Jonny hit the nail on the head. For the dancing portion of the reception, it was awesome! My husband and I danced the whole night! I wish I would have had more hours (my reception was 5 hours!). He also did an amazing job with the uplights! Hands down I had the best night of my life!

We booked DJ Jonny Black based on the videos that he had on his website. A lot of the other DJs had videos of the crowd dancing but not of themselves at work. We really wanted someone who could interact with the crowd and act in a professional manner but also know what kind of music to play to keep everyone dancing. My fiance and I gave him some names of artists that we like, and he put together a sample playlist for us that was exactly what we wanted to hear! His services were more than what we had budgeted for our wedding entertainment, but he offered exactly what we wanted for a wedding DJ. Thank you, DJ Jonny Black!

From my first meeting with Jonny I knew the company were who I wanted to DJ the wedding. They worked with us on our budget, and even though it was more than we were planning to spend, it was 100% worth it. Our DJ was Justin and he was great! He took requests, and played a great mix based on the crowd. People were dancing until long after we left for our hotel! Our reception ran EARLY (whoa) and he compensated for us by playing background music until start time. Everyone with Jonny Black was professional and I would highly recommend them to everyone I know.

Next to picking out the dress, selecting your DJ is one of the most important decision to make. A DJ helps bring life to the event and Jonny is the guy you want as your DJ. Everything from the lighting, to the transitions from cocktail to dinner, to the song selection during dinner was flawless. Jonny's energy is one of a kind and he does a fantastic job at getting the crowd involved. Most important, everyone was on their feet dancing and having a great time!

Jonny is a professional, a delight to work with and rolls out the red carpet service for his clients. I recommend him to all of my friends and family and he defiantly made our night a night we will always cherish and remember!

Jonny Black DJ'd my wedding on November 18th 2011. I told him I wanted it to be a big party and wanted everyone to always be dancing on the dance floor... and let me tell you, that is EXACTLY what I got. not ONE slow dance was played, it was all the dance music and a lot of todays hits which is what I wanted and some oldies but goodies but we danced the night away!! not only did he do great on that but also for my ceremony and he played what needed to be played and help make sure that everyone was ready to go. If you are looking for a dj for your wedding, dont look anywhere else. Get Jonny Black! :) Thanks again Jonny!

Jonny Black provided DJ and lighting services for our November wedding. He packed the dance floor ALL night and the lighting created a beautiful ambiance! Our guests continue to compliment us on how much they enjoyed our wedding. Everyone - family, friends, work colleagues - had the time of their life and we thank Jonny for that.

He's dependable, responsive and professional and will listen and DJ based on what your preferences are - our goal was for everyone to have a blast and he helped accomplish just that.

Johnny Black Productions is wonderful!

My DJ fell though and I had to find a replacement 2 weeks before my wedding date. We met with Johnny, the owner, and Alex, our DJ for the night, the day after I contacted them. I had a lot of special music requests because my family is Trinidadian and we wanted Soca played. When I delivered the Soca music to Johnny, none of the tracks were labeled or organized so he sat down with me and labeled each song and sorted them into a must play and can play list. He also was able to give me Alex's contact information which a lot of services are unwilling to do.

Alex had A LOT of different people giving him direction the night of my wedding (my mom, my sister, and I) and he handled it like a complete professional! My mother made some very direct, not overly friendly comments and he handled it extremely well, always keeping my wants and needs we had discussed previously in mind.

I would recommend them to everyone! They were so easy to work with and professional and stepped in at the last minute when I was in a bind and took care of everything exactly the way I wanted it.

Jonny was great! He listened to everything we said (which was quite a lot), and he played all of the music we requested plus more that we hadn't thought of that were very similar. All of my friends told us afterwards that they loved the way he mixed the songs - he was AMAZING!

Jonny was very professional and personable from the first time we met to discuss my wedding. He exceeded my expectations during the wedding. Not only did he play the music that we loved, he also kept the night running smoothly. I was stress free! Johnny had an itinerary that we had previously organized and he did a tremendous job at ensuring that we followed my initial wishes. Great job selecting music, getting people on the dance floor, transitioning between different moods of the wedding, and emceeing. Bilingual skills were a big plus with guests that monolingual Spanish and others monolingual English :).

Johnny was extremely personable and willling to do anything to make sure that I had a great time at my own wedding. The best thing about Johnny is that he is able to improvise and did a great job working with any surprises that we threw his way. Also, he does an amazing job reading the crowd to tailor his music to match the guests' mood. You can definitely tell that he has a lot of valuable experience. And finally, Johnny is an awesome emcee if you need one! He got my crowd pumped up and several of my friends have asked for his contact information because he made that much of an impression! Jonny Black Productions was a great choice for our wedding DJ, photobooth and up-lighting. They provided a very customized service and were very thorough in figuring out exactly what we wanted :)

Johnny was super nice and very responsive to emails and it easy to schedule meetings with him. He made us feel very comfortable and at ease, and our guests had many complements about the music.

HOWEVER, he started playing the wrong song for my bridal processional (I had to stand there and wait for my coordinator to run over and tell him to play the right song!). Then when he introduced us at the reception, he said the wrong last name (combined our last names) - a fairly minor slip of the tongue really given our last names, but still, our families and guests were pretty confused. Then we had asked for jazz and Sinatra-ish music to be played during the reception, but the majority of the time he played current pop and dance music, including multiple songs specifically listed on my "do not play list". That seems to have been a result of some miscommunication between us. Additionally, the up-lighting provided was what we agreed upon, but it barely showed and no one even noticed it was there.

Overall, I was a bit disappointed, especially about my bridal processional, but I would still recommend Johnny because he's a talented DJ and seems to care a lot about his clients - just be specific about your music choices!.
