I kind of felt like I was pushed to start our dining a half an hour later than I wanted and overall my guests weren't very impressed with the wait.

With going to look at Joseph's it was my first place to look at for my reception site. I knew from the moment I walked in it was the right place. They have beautiful wood on the walls, some decorations already in place and icicle lights hanging from the ceiling. Gorgeous place!

The actuall owner of the facility screamed at me while on the phone asking questions about the food. During the reception the people actually took down the buffet line before every guest had a chance to eat. As far as the alcohol goes, we had pre-set everything we wanted i.e champagne, wine, beer. The champagne we ordered was never served to us.

The only thing semi-positive about our experience with Joseph's was the size of the reception space. We had a buffet style dinner; the food was cold and tasteless and they took the food down before 6 people had even eaten. We overestimated the number of guests in attendance by 20 people, and 8 people who rsvp'ed didn't come. There should have been food left over for another 28 people, and I found out a couple of days later, that they had run out of food.
We ordered several cases of champagne to be served for the the wedding party and close family. We didn't get any of the champagne and because of the heat and all of the excitement, the wedding party ended up drinking too much, getting drunk and also running up the liquor bill that the guests could have enjoyed more of the open bar. We later found out that the bar kept the champagne, stealing hundreds of dollars worth of champagne.
The owners were extremely rude, literally screaming at me and my mother a week before the wedding, making it too late to find another reception site, over something as insignificant as dinner left overs.
We were under that impression that if anyone in the wedding party wanted more from the bar after the bar tab had been closed, we would add that on to the tab at the end of the night. The father of the bride (in a tux) had to pay cash for his own drinks after the bar had closed.
Joseph's made my wedding night very embarassing. No one should have to apologize to their guests because of the incompetence of a restaurant.
