Judge Tom Armstrong

Tom was our officiant for our wedding ceremony. He answered all of our questions very quickly whenever we contacted him and was so easy to work with during our planning and the day of the wedding. All of our guests were very impressed with Tom's presentation of the ceremony and what a nice job he did! Thank you, Tom!

Judge Armstrong did a great job officiating our wedding. He arrived early on the wedding day, made sure all the paperwork was in order, and got along great with everybody with his easy demeanor and personality. He also ran the ceremony perfectly, keeping it short and sweet on a borderline too warm evening with the sun directly overhead. We initially went with Judge Armstrong based on his extensive experience and complete flexibility about the ceremony -- he will do the ceremony the way you want it, which is not the case with many other officiants. We found great material among the many samples and ideas he provides on his website. We could not have been happier with the results.

Judge Armstrong was great. I had a non-religious ceremony, so it was important to me to find someone for whom this would not be a problem. Judge Armstrong was that person. His website was also awesome. He has several sample ceremonies and probably hundreds of samples of parts of ceremonies to help you put together a ceremony of your own. He charges for the rehearsal, but he has a rehearsal guide on his website that was extremely helpful. He didn't give me much of a critique on the ceremony I'd written, which was a little disappointing, but I did email it to him just a couple of weeks before the wedding (he recommends having it finished a couple of months beforehand) so I mostly blame myself for that. His prices are right in line with what other officiants charge, and he doesn't even ask that you feed him! He was thoroughly pleasant in person, and did an awesome job with the ceremony. His voice is great, and he was obviously prepared and experienced. I wholeheartedly recommend Judge Armstrong.

Tom was our officiant and did such a great job on our ceremony. His website is FABULOUS!! So many ideas to choose from. We hadn't met Tom prior to the wedding, although he was happy to meet with us- we ACCIDENTLY stood him up- oops, he still chose to work with us though! ;) We weren't the most organized when it came to coming up with what we wanted for the ceremony, in fact we emailed it to him right before the wedding but he still was able to do such a good job and seemed like he had been practicing for weeks!

Tom was great from the very beginning. His responses to my questions were always extremely prompt, and his website was incredibly helpful when making our ceremony text selections- he has hundreds of both religious and non-religious selections posted. We were able to pick and choose and truly tailor the text to be exactly what we wanted. His reading voice on the big day was clear and he emoted extremely well. He was friendly and professional. My husband and I really enjoyed working with him.

I found Tom on wedding wire and really had not spoken with him we did everything via email, however I did not need to speak to him if I had he was avaliable. He was great, and everything went perfectly! He was friendly and handled everything exactly as I expected! THANK YOU TOM :)

Judge Armstrong was so easy to work with and our ceremony was beautiful. He was able to help us perfect our ceremony and give us feedback on it when we needed it. He was very professional and the whole ceremony turned out wonderful thanks to him!

Judge Armstrong is very responsive via email and has an extensive library of sample ceremonies to chose from. This was extremely helpful as we planned our ceremony. However, I was not 100% satisfied on the wedding day. About 10 minutes before the ceremony, Judge Armstrong came rushing into my room and was pressuring me to "sign the marriage license right now." I told him that I wanted to wait until after the ceremony because I wanted to get some pictures of the signing. He was pushy about it and that bothered me. I was trying to "take a deep breath" before the ceremony and he added stress to the situation. He made a comment about how he needed to leave right after the ceremony because he had another wedding-- as if it was somehow my fault that he seemed to have booked weddings too close to each other. That made it all seem like my wedding wasn't very special at all and it was "just another" wedding to him. It left me with a bad feeling.

Judge Armstrong was wonderful. He allows a bride to completely personalize their ceremony btu gives them great resources to make it simple. A seasoned professional.

I was referred to Judge Armstrong through a co-worker. We were very pleased and have already referred a few couples to him.
He is very professional and will marry you almost wherever you like. My husband and I got married on Lake of the Isles with our parents and my sister. He was early and the service was perfectly short and sweet. He took care of the licensing. His website is incredibly helpful. He has a lot of sample weddings that you can choose through, or do your own. He also has other links there for name changes and other legal things that come with marriage.

Judge Armstrong is wonderful! He lets YOU decide what is to be said during your ceremony, the entire thing. He also provided us with a list of all of the places that I needed to change my name. His voice and presence are fabulous and we loved having him be the man to marry us!

As soon as I saw his information online I knew he was the right person to marry us, and I have no regrets on that. He came out to where our wedding was held, and he let us write our own ceremony complertely. He didn't add or change anything. Word-for-word it was what we wrote. His voice is powerful and strong which was exactly what I was looking for. A huge thing for my husband and I was that we wanted no aspect of religion on our ceremony, and he did not put one bit of it in there. If you are considering Judge Armstrong, stop comparing and book him now before someone else does!

Judge Tom Armstrong did an excellent job officiating our wedding. We were able to customize our ceremony and he helped along the way. His website is great if you're in need of ceremony examples. He was very responsive and helpful when we had any questions. He is very affordable as well. I would definitely recommend him to anyone in need of an officiant.

Tom was great. He let us put together our own ceremony and worked great with our translator. He told us exactly what we needed and he didn't overcharge. It was important for us to work with a judge because we are an interfaith couple, and we found that in many cases, judges were relatively overpriced in comparison with other wedding officiants. Tom was affordable and made us very comfortable.

We were very pleased with Judge Armstrong - he is very knowledgeable and provides a great deal of information on his website making it easier to plan out the details of your ceremony. He was very prompt in responding to any inquiries whether by phone or email. We liked having the complete "say-so" in writing our ceremony and appreciated his comments and suggestions. We would highly recommend Judge Armstrong. He was also very timely in completing the paperwork for our marriage certificate and provided us with some tips on completing a name change.

Tom was very helpful throughout the process. He offers extensive amounts of information on his website and via email. He was quick to respond to inquiries and had the answers to all our questions. He is definitely very experienced in the industry. He was also very thorough when helping us plan the wedding to ensure that he directed the ceremony exactly as we wished. Further, he provided helpful recommendations and minor adjustments to our ceremony draft that we appreciated.

At an additional cost, we requested that he be present at our rehearsal. He arrived in a timely manner and utilized his strong presence to guide us through the rehearsal in an effective and efficient manner. It was great to meet him in person prior to the ceremony, and he also provided much guidance/suggestions about where to go, how to line up, etc... during the ceremony.

He also followed up with the marriage certificate in a very timely manner. He submitted the certificate to the county for authorization the Monday following our Saturday ceremony and sent a copy to us promptly for our records. This also included several informational memos to guide us through the follow up process (name changes, etc..). He was very helpful, very nice, and I would definitely recommend his services to anyone looking to be married by a Justice of the Peace.

We were very pleased with our experience creating our wedding ceremony with Judge Armstrong. He is the very definition of flexible. When you work with Judge Armstrong, you have the opportunity to create something completely unique for your wedding ceremony. His website contains many sample ceremonies, and portions of ceremonies. This gives you a template so that you can pick and chose what you’d like. You can chose anything from the website or create something yourself. He is readily available for questions throughout the process via phone or email. He isn’t, however, typically available for in-person meetings prior to booking or the wedding day. I would have like to meet him before we decided to book him, but it wasn’t totally necessary. He is a very confident and eloquent speaker – his delivery of the ceremony was great! We were very happy with our experience and the highly individualized wedding ceremony was really special.

I have worked hundreds of weddings with Tom. He's super personable and makes the couple feel so at ease. His words are clear and honorable, a tribute to the couple. I think the best officiants are those that have a happy full life of their own because their happiness bubbles over to those around them. This is Tom. I always feel confident to refer him to my best clients.
