Julia Rosa Floral Design House
Julia Rosa Floral Design is one of the premier floral design studios in
Chicago. Julia uses unusual flowers and plants, carefully arranged for
visual impact and dramatic effect in one-of-a-kind containers. They use
rotating palettes of color, and strong seasonal references to make
everything completely unique and exactly right for the occasion and
space for which it's being used. Julia did everything from the ceremony
and reception decorations, to my bouquet, bridesmaid's bouquets, all the
corsages and boutonnieres. Their use of different/unexpected flowers,
fabulous containers and greenery was uncomplicated yet incredibly
refreshing. I met with Julia and a member of her team to discuss my
vision and go over some of the pictures that inspired me. Julia and her
team were full of ideas and offered numerous options. I left that
meeting giddy and ecstatic in anticipation of seeing my vision come to
life. Julia and her team handled my indecisiveness very well, were
patient and always seemed to bring me to what would really work best.
When I saw our floral arrangements the day of our wedding, I was
ecstatic. My bouquet was so lush and colorful, and everything else came
together so well. When I walked in to our reception hall, I was blown
away. The room made me so happy and set the tone for our big night. I
can't say enough about Julia and her team. They are truly talented and
go above and beyond what you can imagine. They are enjoyable to work
with and really are masters at their trade. I strongly recommend them!
When I started planning our wedding, I had so many different ideas floating around in my mind, but I couldn't figure out how to tie everything together. Enter the fabulous Julia Rosa, who not only "saved" our day but made it flawlessly beautiful from beginning to end. When we initially met with Julia, I struggled to explain my vision to her and lamely produced a few photos I had torn out of magazines. She patiently walked us through everything, bringing out fabric samples, flowers and vases for us to see, and by the end I was hugging her. She brought us in a few weeks later for a "staging" of our wedding day flowers (bouquets, pew decorations, reception tables, etc.), and I was blown away.
Julia was the one vendor who I didn't have to worry about. She returned my e-mails promptly, arrived early to the church and reception to set up, and made sure our centerpieces were on the tables at brunch the following morning. We also had a last-minute snafu with changing our reception tables from square to round, and she adjusted everything quickly and without complaint.
I think the best part about Julia is her personality. She's friendly and she's hip, which I discovered is important when you're working with a florist. I consulted with three or four other florists before selecting Julia. Many of these florists simply trotted out the "standard" selection of bouquets, etc. that they usually do for brides. Julia is an artist -- she was willing to do something different and lend her creativity to the day. We had an antique birdcage that we used for cards, and Julia carefully strung antique pink hydrangea inside the upper part of the cage. It was such a lovely touch.
Julia Rosa was the best investment we made -- reasonably priced, professional, and low-pressure. We were concerned about our budget, and she understood and respected that. I would encourage any bride to work with Julia.
If you want a florist for your wedding that will go above and beyond your expectations, then you should work with Julia Rosa Floral Design. Julia is a genuine person with a real passion for creating floral designs that match the personality and look of each bride that she works with. The flowers at my May wedding were spectacular. Julia worked within my budget, but gave a top dollar look. The next day, the flowers arrived at my parents house so they were able to enjoy them for weeks afterwards.
Julia Rosa put together some of the most beautiful flowers I've seen for our wedding, and she did it all in about two weeks. We had to switch floral designers at the last minute due to a huge problem with our first choice, and I'm so glad we found her. She was ready and willing to work within our budget and come up with gorgeously creative arrangements for corsages, boutonnieres, bouquets, and table settings.
I loved her style and eye for color, and I'd recommend her to anyone. Whether you're looking for a traditional white bouquet or one that's bursting with color, she'll work with you and come up with a beautiful solution.
Put some thought into your budget. Here are some fees to think about, tax, delivery, set up, breakdown and rental charges. Most of all florists employ these charges.
It's truly inprotant that you feel comfortable with your florist when it comes to their creativity, delivery, and pricing.
