Julie is a gifted artist. And as a person who was born into a family of professional artists, I don't throw around that label casually. When my fiancee and I got engaged, our top priorities were to find the perfect venue and hire the best photographer in the area. In my search, I looked through at least 100 online portfolios, including dozens that had been recommended to me personally by friends. Julie's portfolio stood out, so we contacted her and asked to see more of her work. Once we had seen several complete weddings, we knew she was the best choice.

Julie's work exceeded our expectations. We just got our wedding photos back, and they are nothing short of breath-taking. Julie has a gift for composition -- framing our day in creative, elegant, and striking ways. After researching and researching hundreds of photographers online, I came across Julie's website. Instantly, I knew that I loved her style in photographs and would love for her to be my photographer for my wedding. I contacted her immediately and after emails back and forth, we set a date to meet. My husband and I truly enjoyed the work that she showed us that day and we couldn't wait to see what she would come up with for our wedding! She's so creative and is naturally talented! The photos from the engagement shoot were awesome and we knew that she would do a fantastic job capturing our wedding.

My husband and I had a conversation after our meeting with Julie and we talked about how comfortable we felt with her. That comfortable feeling was definitely a plus because the last thing we wanted was to feel uncomfortable on the most important day of our lives! Leading up to the wedding, I communicated with Julie through email and was impressed with how fast she would get back to my questions and concerns. I loved that! She arrived early to my wedding site and was ready to go! She was well prepared and was knowledgeable on how to capture the best picture for all kinds of lighting. We had a whole range of different lighting and that was a concern of mine. We had candlelight, natural lighting, very dim lighting, and a colorful lighting design. The photos were amazing and she used the lighting to her advantage and captured beautiful photos! I can truthfully say that now that my husband and I have viewed the proofs of wedding photos, it is unbelievably difficult to narrow down our choices for our album! I guess we'll have to choose them all! They are all amazing! We can say that she cannot take an unflattering photo either!

We are so blessed to have found Julie. We swear that she was practically invisible on our wedding day and couldn't believe the photos she took. We repeatedly would say, "Where was she when she took that?" We also appreciate the fact that she kept her cool during a couple of hectic moments during our reception. She kept professional, yet still personable and approachable. What a lovely person to work with. We cannot wait to create our wedding album with her!

When we met with Julie, we were immediately impressed by her professionalism, easy personality, and skillful work. In a word, Julie is spectacular! I fell in love with her previous weddings, everything from the gorgeous candids to the elegantly posed portraits. Julie is talented beyond words and was a true joy to work with.

After the wedding, Julie created a slideshow for us that told the love story of our wedding day, capturing all of the details that make a wedding truly beautiful. We just love Julie and all that she has done for us. Though the day is over, our wedding will live on in the gorgeous photos that she took.

Julie also set-up a photo station for our guests which was a total hit! Everyone was raving about how much fun they had in it. Plus, the pictures show all of our guests having an amazing time!

Julie and her assistant are amazing, she is so organized and well prepared. She even scouted our location TWICE before the ceremony and knew exactly where to take photos. We did all our photos during the cocktail hour and were not late. Her photos are amazing and Im so happy we picked her to remember our special day with. Highly recommended.

I cannot give a high enough rating to Julie Mikos - she did an INCREDIBLE job with the photography at our wedding. From start to finish she captured stunning photos and was polite, friendly and unobtrusive. Her photographic style is more the "photojournalism" style, focusing more on candids and capturing an authentic feeling of the day, but she also did a great job with the posed family shots and other necessary posed photos. Compared to many photographers, I would consider her to be in the "expensive photographer" range, but she was worth every penny for her amazing photography skills. We were doing our wedding on a moderately limited budget, but we allocated almost 1/4 of the wedding budget (which probably seems crazy) to hire Julie as our photographer because my husband and I are both graphic designers and do amateur photography on the side and knew we would ALWAYS regret it if we didn't come out with amazing wedding photos. We didn't just end up with a few great shots, many good shots, and some mediocre shots. We ended up with HUNDREDS of stunning photos.

It took us a long time to find a photographer for our wedding. I was looking for someone who had the holy trinity - a photographic style we liked, a pleasant personality, and a price we could afford. On a friend's recommendation, I found Julie, and was thrilled to have her photograph our wedding. Julie has a great style, a wonderful personality, and was very willing to work within our budget. I hardly noticed Julie and her assistant at our wedding reception, but they captured many wonderful images! I would not hesitate to recommend Julie. She is a true professional!

Let me tell you again, how AMAZING your photos are, Julie. I have been looking at them every moment that I get and I am constantly finding new favorites. Everyone that I have shown them to thinks that they are gorgeous. My friend Emily said today that she thinks that they are the best wedding photos she has ever seen."
