Kacee's Sugar and Spice

KaCee did my wedding cake and groom's cake. The cakes looked beautiful and very professionally done; HOWEVER, a few days before the wedding I kept getting calls from KaCee as if she did not know any details about the cakes even though I had given the information to her twice already. And she STILL did not get it right. My wedding cake was supposed to have 2 flavors alternating tiers so that the guests could choose a flavor (KaCee's own idea), but instead the tiers were made of 2 layers of the flavors combined. The cake was also extremely dry. My husband wanted a yellow cake, but she made it chocolate. She even asked me on one of her phone calls if it was supposed to be chocolate, and I told her that he hated chocolate, and it was supposed to be vanilla. So my poor husband thought his own cake was disgusting. The cakes were pretty, but KaCee needs to be more organized and write down her cake details in a place she can find.

The main person I worked with was KaCee's daughter who at first was still in high school and then freshman in college. She seemed to know what she was doing but there were a few things that she really should have talked over with her mother about before telling us that it wouldn't be a problem. My cake I had designed about two years before the wedding and wanted it a certain way. It turned out looking amazing but it was alittle different that what I had envisioned. I wished they would have called me about the changes, but they probably did it last minute. My husbands cake was a castle cake and it looked amazing (not charm city cakes amazing but Ruston/ north LA amazing). Everyone was talking about both of the cakes and seemed to really enjoy them.

She was wonderful and so creative! She helped us out in so many ways but sometimes we had trouble contacting her or getting a return phone call but the wedding reception was wonderful!
