I worked with Kahler Hall for my wedding and we had a great experience working with Cathy. The Hall was very accommodating as well as set up an entire kitchen for my caterer. I also enjoyed that I could use the lights to dim myself. I would highly recommend the hall for your wedding or party, the price certainly is right and we where able to stay in budget.
Kahler Hall was a beautiful place. We were unhappy with the limited availability of the hall during the weeks prior to the wedding.
Kahler Hall worked out great!!! I wanted a place that was inexpensive, local, allowed outside catering of our choice, and was not too frilly/old fashioned. We had the ceremony downstairs in the community room, and the reception in the ballroom. We had a great time and everyone loved the ballroom and newly renovated lobby. Cathy Murphy, the coordinator was wonderful to work with :) Antoine and Marlon, the on-site guys the day of our wedding were so sweet and as helpful as can be.
Only one lesson learned. Make sure you tell them EXACTLY the times you need the rooms for---not the precise time the guests will arrive/event starts. We booked the whole venue from 6pm-1am on the contract, and they told us we can come in early to set up. We told them we were using the Marchand Room as the bridal suite to get ready (before the wedding), THINKING that they realized that would be BEFORE the wedding. Well they booked a meeting in our bridal suite room 2 hrs before the wedding. Luckily, Marlon, the on-site guy that day moved them into another room. Minor snafu---but not 100% their fault? Just make sure that if you want the rooms to be totally yours for a certain period of time---get it cleared up beforehand.
I still give them a great review. If you want something local, inexpensive, and not too frilly, go for this place.
