Kaplan String Quartet
I stumbled onto the Kaplan String Quartet website after scanning another website called Gigmasters, which is apparently a booking website used for musical groups. Kaplan String quartet had a ton of great reviews, and of course I read-- every single one-- and there was nothing but great feedback!
I went to their website and listened to their sample songs, and I really felt this would be that wonderful extra touch to the ceremony. In my opinion, music has the ability to really strike emotion and create the ambience, so I emailed the point person, Paul Dolid, to get more information.
Paul was very professional and pleasant over the phone! He essentially broke it all down into the timeline, answered all of my questions and made great suggestions!!
His group was wonderful and my now new-hubby, told me as he was waiting for me at the altar, the different songs they went through were flawless and really moved him.
When I walked into the ceremony, everything seemed like a dream and the music was perfect! I would definitely recomend them to any bride!!! Very Professional and worth every...
The contact and the celloist for Kaplan String Quartet, Paul Dolid, was very nice and very accomodating when planning for our wedding. He responded to my phone calls and emails immediately; had very good suggestions for our ceremony; and was very flexible when discussing where they would play during the ceremony and at our reception. Plus, the string quartet played beautifully for our ceremony and received many compliments from our guests. The quartet also has a huge repetoire of music to choose from, both classical and contemporary!
What a lovely sound! This string quartet was able to not only play beautifully, but custom-arrange the piece we wanted as our processional. They provided music for the ceremony and the cocktail hour, and it was the perfect choice for our setting. We highly recommend them!!!
THE KAPLAN STRING QUARTET
The Kaplan String Quartet was formed in 1992 in Los Angeles,
California. The rich performance background of the members of the
quartet combined with a varied repertoire provides a diverse
choice of musical options for any social occasion.
The Kaplan String Quartet has appeared at many of the most popular
wedding, reception and party venues in the greater Los Angeles
area. Performances at the Catalina Room, the Long Beach Art
Museum and many of the Southland's noted church and synagogues
provides the quartet with the experience to adjust to a wide
variety of requests and performance circumstances. Special
accommodations in advance of an engagement can be made for musical
arrangements of non-traditional quartet versions of classical and
popular standards. For example, the Quartet has fulfilled
requests for arrangements of the William Tell Overture and In the
Mood. With experience in consulting with clients on special
requests and issues specific to each performance venue, the
members of the Kaplan String Quartet have become flexible in
making last minute changes, working with event/wedding
coordinators and performing with other musicians involved in an
event (vocalists, pianists, other instrumentalists).
