Kara is absolutely amazing in every way, shape, and form! She has incredible talent and has a way of balancing a laid back demeanor with a get-it-done attitude. One of my favorite parts of the entire evening was just walking around with Kara and taking pictures around town. She felt like an old friend and although I was her customer, I could tell how much she cared about my husband and I and taking the perfect pictures for us. We could really be ourselves in front of her and I think that contributed to how great our pictures turned out! The entire process - from the initial interview, to the engagement pictures, to the wedding was flawless. She kept me held together and made sure the entire day ran perfectly on schedule! Honestly, I can't say enough good about her. My husband and I are absolutely THRILLED with our pictures and will definitely be working with Kara in the future. I'm an incredibly particular person, and I don't have a single complaint...I'd HIGHLY recommend her to anyone and everyone looking for a photographer (as a matter of fact, I already have!).

Kara is simply amazing. She has such a great eye for good photos and knows how to pose you so you look your best! Her packages include lots of options and all are very reasonably priced. Plus, Kara is just the sweetest person. A true joy to work with!

Kara was great! Our experience with her started with our engagement photos about a year before the wedding. Everyone raved over our engagement photos! On the wedding day, Kara showed up early and got to work right away. She is so easy to work with and very flexible. Our wedding photos really do tell the story of our special day and she did a fantastic job of capturing all the emotion that we and our families were experiencing that day. Good, bad, and in between, Kara captured it all and we will cherish our photos for many, many years.

Kara did a great job with our engagement sessions and wedding. We have so many beautiful photos! She was also a great help throughout the whole wedding process. She has a lot of good tips and advice, and she helped keep my wedding day running smoothly. Highly recommended!

By far Kara was one of our absolute favorite vendors! She was one of the first vendors we booked after the reception location and over the course of the year Kara kept in touch and became a friend, sounding board, and much more! She did our engagement photos which we absolutely love! Neither myself nor my husband enjoy getting our pictures taken but she made it fun and natural. She actually also took some dog photos for my parents for a Christmas present too! Her work so far has been great and I can’t imagine I’ll be disappointed with the wedding photos! At the day of the wedding she showed up early and went to work! She arranged photos took some natural candid shots and generally kept me calm. Throughout the day she provided guidance when needed but generally kept out of the way. At the reception she even ended up having to sew my bustle since it broke! She was wonderful and it really felt like having a friend along with us! Sunday night after the wedding Kara gave us a sneak preview of 2 pictures before we left on our honeymoon!

Kara was amazing. Without her I might have been a bridezilla. Kara first did our engagement pictures and was extremely flexible with scheduling and location and they turned out amazing. She arrived early on the day of our wedding and starting snapping pics right away. She is so creative and has such a great personality, we all felt like she was part of the wedding party. Our transportation was a disaster (Chicago Limosine...don't use them) and Kara saved my mood. She went from photographer to mixologist and a good one at that. She was calming, funny, and sweet the entire day. Not to mention she took SO many pictures and they are all incredibly gorgeous and unique...picking out pictures was the hardest decision I've ever had to make. She captured every single moment...I don't know how she does it but she does. Our wedding day was the most amazing day of our lives and Kara really helped make that happen. Thanks again Kara!

Oh my gosh, I would have been a wreck without Kara! I know there were some concerns several months ago brought up by another Knottie, but Kara was nothing but the absolute professional and went way above and beyond her duties. We booked her before her prices raised, but I would pay her current rates if I needed to! We did an engagement session with her in October – and she created our guest book from those pictures (which, by the way, was a HIT!! Everyone commented on how cool that was. If you’re thinking about doing something like that, I would highly recommend it.) Kara was there from beginning to end, and I am just so impressed with her pictures. She did so much that she didn’t have to – from zipping me into my dress, bustling me, putting my veil on to explaining the best way to cut the cake. Highly, highly recommend Kara!

I found Kara through brides on The Knot who had used her. At the time, I was trying to find a good photographer at a reasonable cost. Since Kara was somewhat new to the wedding scene at that point, her prices were still low. I was told repeatedly to "get in now" before her experience grew (along with her price). We had an engagement session with her, not so much because we really wanted the pics, but more because we wanted to have worked with her prior to the wedding. Get the comfort level down, etc. Kara is extremely easy to work with, she knows what needs to get done and is good when she's corralling a group of people in a photo. The day of the wedding, she moved about and blended into the background. The result? Beautiful pictures that I am so grateful she was able to capture. Turn around time on the engagement pics were probably a month or so, we had the option to purchase prints from the website, but she does give a disc of the images that we can reprint on our own terms. We got married about 4 weeks ago and have been presented with a sneak peek and a slideshow of a ton of images. Can't wait to see the rest!

Kara did a great job shooting our reception. Some of my favorite shots she took were of the details of the day--including my absolutely favorite photo which featured our simple platinum bands around a piece of sheet music. Loved it!

Kara took my b-pics for me after I got married. She traveled into the city for me, and was simply amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and got all the pictures I wanted. She was there with tips/advice if I needed them, or willing to re-arrange when something didn't work. Her pricing is totally reasonable (I want to redo them with her now that she offers hair and makeup!) and I got my DVD quickly after with all my images.

I will use her again when I get remarried for e-pics, b-pics and wedding pictures too. I cannot say enough about this vendor that is more like a friend.

Kara is a real pleasure to work with and a wonderful photographer. She truly has a passion for what she does (I always see her with her camera outside of work!). Kara is always well prepared and will come up with some great shots for your wedding day. Kara knows the in’s and out’s of wedding photography and will make sure you are well taken care of.

I have worked with Kara on so many weddings this past year and it's always a pleasure to run into her. The moments she captures are truly breathtaking and I often hunt her down for copies of the images because they are SO good! Highly recommend!
