I had my alterations done by Karen Verstege, a woman that has over twenty years experience doing bridal alterations. She conducts her business out of her home. Karen was quick, my gown was completed within a week. I needed a hem and a bustle, and her pricing was very reasonable. The day of the wedding everything fit perfectly, and I was very happy with her efficient, quality services. If you are planning on getting your alterations done at a bridal shop, and you are worried about cost, I would get in touch with Karen, first. I believe her rates are probably much better! She has also worked out of bridal shops for years, so you won't sacrifice quality or experience by doing so. I was very budget conscious, so I was truly lucky that a friend referred her to me!
