I absolutely loved the flowers at my wedding thanks to Karrie and her amazing talents! They were a true work of art. Karrie was so helpful from day 1 and provided suggestions and her expertise while always keeping your wants and desires in mind. She was truly a professional and a joy to work with, extremely organized, reliable and fun. I can't begin to tell you how many compliments I received regarding the beautiful floral arrangements - the style and vivid colors were beautiful and I loved the creative, artsy flair. I highly recommend Karrie Hlista Designs and believe that you will be just as happy as me!

I love Karrie! I got married on a farm, with the reception in a barn called The Hayloft. I had some atypical ideas (for example, I didn't want only two colors as my wedding color scheme; I wanted "fall" colors that weren't orange and brown) and I had a set budget. Also, I was planning my western PA wedding but I live in New York City, so everything had to be done long distance.

I went to four different Pittsburgh florists and gave them my parameters. Karrie was the best, hands down.

Karrie is the only one who immediately embraced the non-traditional ideas I had for my wedding. She threw out tons of ideas - way more than the other florists. She didn't give me a hard time for not knowing the types and names of random flowers, which was always frustrating when I would talk to other florists. And, unlike other vendors, she didn't tell me that I simply MUST pick two or three colors to be my wedding colors.

What sealed the deal for me was that she stayed within my budget while still giving me fresh ideas. She didn't automatically resort to the usual fluffy filler-flowers that don't cost a lot but take up a lot of room in a bouquet. She suggested affordable flowers that I hadn't seen at the dozens of other weddings I've attended.

She was as into my vintage, farm ideas as I was. She would send me pictures out of nowhere, saying "I just saw this and thought of you!" She talked to me over the phone while presenting pictures to me via email.

I loved working with her and I got so many compliments on the flowers that day. She turned the bare rafters and tables in the barn into a beautiful setting that won the resounding approval of my hard-to-please relatives who were wary of our barn reception idea.

Karrie made my life easy and was one of my favorite wedding-planning memories.

The first time I met Karrie face to face was on the day of my wedding. All of our communications were over the phone & via e-mail, so I was honestly assuming that details would get lost in translation, but everything was perfect. I was so impressed with her organization and she gave such great input & ideas that never crossed my mind. I had such a great experience working with her & would highly recommend her for in & out of town brides!

When my daughter, the bride, requested blue & hot pink flowers I was concerned that they would look garish. Not so. Karrie put together a most creative and elegant design for the church ceremony and reception down to the smallest detail like the corsages & candles. Using an array of flowers that we had never seen with varying hues and shapes that only an artist could envision, the realization was beyond what we hoped for. Karie was so professional and organized that we were confidant that everything would go smoothly -- no worries for the big day. I would love to use her services again.

Karrie- I cannot put into words how PERFECT the flowers were for my wedding!! When we first met...i know i changed my mind a couple of times and was a little bit of a pain! ha-ha but you were so considerate and professional that you worked through it and helped me so much get the design JUST RIGHT. you and your team made my wedding that much more special. Karrie did a wonderful job with my son and daughter-in-law's reception in Pittsburgh! Even though we were all from out of town she was more than willing to work with us...including changing plans close to the date of the reception! The flowers were beautiful and fit perfectly with the "informal" party environment. I would highly recommend Karrie to anyone for any event.

Karrie's designs for my wedding day far exceeding my expectations! She took my initial thoughts as to what I envisioned and made them into an absolute dream come true! She is a true artist at heart and a special person to work with! The flowers and designs she provided were absolutely amazing!

Not only were the flowers beyond beautiful, you really saved the day with all the extra care and help that you provided. The extra touch of the cabbage roses was breath taking! From the beginning, I had wanted cabbage roses but didn't ask about them because I didn't believe that I could afford them. The groom and his men loved their boutonnieres and though they wouldn't use these words to describe them, I loved the way they had a modern feel (with the orchids) but were also perfect for an outdoor garden wedding (with the mints and lavender). You are beyond florist, you are artist as well. I can't wait for an excuse to use your services in the future!

One of my favorite things about Karrie is that she is really great about helping find ways to meet your creative dreams while simultaneously finding the most cost effective way to reach those creative goals.

Beyond her creative touch and concern for helping you stay within your budget, her customer service is great. She is fantastic about keeping you in the loop and is more than willing to work with long distance brides (I'm in SC and she's in PA). I was able to meet her at her flower shop one time before the wedding and she spent a lot of time going over all of my options, different flower choices based on my color scheme and bridesmaid's gowns.

Again, Karrie did a great job, and I highly recommend her to all Pittsburgh brides! :)

Karrie was great to work with. She really took the time to make sure that she understood what I wanted - and I felt very comfortable that what I wanted was in capable hands. She understood the concept I was going for - rustic but chic - and made some wonderful suggestions that I was very happy with. The flowers arrived right on time and looked gorgeous. I was on a pretty tight budget and Karrie did a great job of helping find affordable flowers that still looked fantastic. I'm so happy I found Karrie and was able to work with her - everything turned out exactly as I had hoped it would. I highly recommend her to anyone!

karrie did a wonderful job. I was so excited to see my flowers, when i walked into the church i made a B line up stairs to see my flowers and they were more beautiful than i could have thought. I am still getting compliments on my flowers. On the table flowers i told Karrie to do what she thought would look best and I just picked out a few flowers and she did the rest. I trusted her to do that and she came through tenfold. Karrie is very knowledgable when it comes to flowers. I will always come back to Karrie.

Karrie was so great to work with! She understood my vision and created the most beautiful bouquets. Karrie and her staff were so flexible delivering my flowers to many locations at any moment as our plans were constantly changing. Karrie also decorated my cake perfectly with matching flowers that I was told by many to be the most beautiful cake they had ever seen! Karrie was hired less than 3 months before my wedding and I was more than lucky that she was willing to do my wedding on such short notice.
She created a Platinum Wedding atmosphere within my budget. First we discussed for hours my vision, then she traveled to the wedding venue, and she worked with the lightning specialist to create an exquisite evening.

She incorporated our handmade Chuppah cover with the Chuppah in such a way that guest e-mailed and wrote notes that they had never seen a more beautiful Chuppah.

My wedding was in 3 different rooms in one venue for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception and Karrie managed to awe my guest as they transitioned from one room to the other.

Karrie was a professional at all times and I valued her opinion and suggestions. She returned all calls or e-mails and exhibited patience in dealing with a nervous bride-to-be. She was informed on all the latest wedding trends and had ideas not seen by me on any of the wedding sites. After a few phone meetings(I lived out of town) I never worried about how my flowers would look on my wedding day and I was not disappointed!!!!

Don't let the idea that she works out of a shop in a small town deter you because remember the best gifts come in small packages and Karrie's artistry is a gift.

I was a floral designer for 20 years my friend Lynn was getting married and needed flowers for her wedding the shopps I worked at did not impress me with wedding work so I went on line and found Heritage I took my friend Lynn there and I was so impressed by the flowers that Karrie gets, some I have never seen in my 20 years as a designer. Karrie was not only proffesional, but she made us feel at home. Lynn's wedding flowers were beautiful, the tables looked great !! We were so happy with everything. I now go to Karrie for all my flower orders.

After visiting tons of florist, only Karrie Hlista Designs was able to help bring my unique vision of wanting real grass & branches as the centerpieces to life. She went above and beyond what any other florist would of even considered doing for my price range. To complete my modern centerpieces she even hand tied crystals and orchids to each and every branch (very time consuming)...Karrie really cares about making the customer happy and has pride in her work. I would highly recommend her as your florist for any event that you want to stand out and make it both unique and elegant. When I started planning the wedding, there was one vendor that I didn't even need to think about - Karrie Hlista Floral Wedding Designs. I would not trust my flowers on my special day to anyone else. She took the time to work with me on all the details and possibilities and made fabulous suggestions on design and size of the various floral pieces. We had live roses for our bouquets and boutonnieres, and I wanted a silk arrangement for our memory table that I could keep. I received numerous compliments on the flowers - they were all exquisite.

We were blown away by the gorgeous flowers for our wedding done by Karrie Hlista and Heritage Floral Shoppe. We did not know much about flowers going into the planning, but we knew we wanted an elegant fall color scheme for our flowers. Karrie spent a lot of time with us over the phone to get a sense of what we liked and the look we were going for. Since we were in California and she was in PA, it was a little bit of unknown of how it would all look and turn out. When I arrived at the church, I was amazed at how beautiful all the flowers were, beyond what I could have imagined. Everyone immediately started commenting on how beautiful they were. We received many, many compliments throughout the day on how beautiful the flowers and centerpieces at the reception were. Karrie did an amazing job on the flowers. She saved me on the day with the couple of roses I forgot for the sign of peace! I called her Saturday around 8am and she called me back within a couple of hours. It was a pleasure to work with her. I can't say enough about the great experience I had with Karrie Hlista. Karrie listened to the type of wedding we were having and she designed the perfect arrangements for the tables, my bouquet, the ceremony room and the wedding cake. Karrie did it all. When I arrived, everything was perfect....actually, even prettier than I expected. The flowers were all fresh and colorful and the arrangments lasted long after the wedding.

Karrie's floral designs really made the wedding. Many people commented on the flowers and I would never hesitate to recommend her. Karrie was very thorough and I always knew exactly what was going on. The flowers were never a concern.

Karrie was great to work with! Planning from out of town can be hard, but she went over all the important details through phone consultations and was very easy to work with. She did half of our reception pieces (the tall ones) and all of our bouquets. Even though we did half the arrangements ourselves, Karrie helped during set up to make sure that they looked just as good as the ones they created! We were very happy with how they turned out, and would definitely recommend Karrie Hlista to others!

Karrie did an AMAZING job with my flowers. Everything turned out exactly the way I envisioned it. I had so many compliments on my flowers and centerpieces. It was absolutely stunning. Karrie worked with my other vendors on logistics leaving one less thing for me to do. She knocked it out of the park.

Karrie makes you feel at ease when you talk to her. She is very flexible and helpful. Before I went to Karrie, I had another florist that was not getting back to and responding to my hone calls or emails. When I went to Karrie, she made me feel important and made my wedding day feel special. She was very professional and attentive to my needs and requests! I didn't worry about the flowers or decorations for the wedding day. She had my flowers and the bridesmaids flowers waiting for me when I arrived at the Church. They were PERFECT! The reception was dressed up with flowers when the guests got there! She made the wedding day less stressful, and she made it look BEAUTIFUL! She is WONDERFUL!

Karrie was an amazing help to me during my wedding planning. I had an idea of what I wanted and she took it to the next level. We had a slight situtation when my order came in, a group of flowers that were supposed to be yellow came in white. Since non of my other flowers were white she immeditly upgraded me to a more expensive yellow flower that she had in the store, free of charge! Everything was perfect! Everyone at the wedding comment on the centerpeices and all of the flowers saying how much the added to the room and how beautiful they were. Karrie and her team did an outstanding job!

Karrie and her team were excellent to work with and helped bring my wedding vision to life.

Overall the flowers were decent but the services that were promised and paid for were not completed. Karrie told us she would deliver the flowers to the church and then take them to the venue after the service. When it came time for the wedding she was no where to be found. She left the church flowers at the reception with no explanation. The flowers in the bridesmaids bouquets were also better then the brides own bouquet. The centerpieces were not exactly what was asked for during the consultations either. If other cheaper or alternative flowers were going to be used it should have been communicated to the bride and groom. We never got the chance to meet her even though she told us we paid for her services for the entire day since she only books one wedding per day.
