Kate's Kouture Bridal

This was the second place I went to to look for wedding gowns. It felt a little cheap inside - like a bargain place. My appointment was at 1:00 and I did not get upstairs into the fitting room until 1:40 because they were running late. I brought the gowns I wanted to try on upstairs. The person helping me made a few comments when I tried on the dresses, and then went downstairs while I looked in the mirror to help the previous appointment check out. She did help me try on dresses I didn't think I would like - but they did look nice on me, which was a surprise. I liked the top of one dress and the bottom on another, and she told me that I could order it that way. She would call me with the estimate in two business days.

Never heard from her again.

So - I bought my dress at The Wedding Party, LLC in Berkeley. And even though the dresses are cheaper than Kate's, the feeling inside casual yet luxurious. And the ladies followed up with me immediately.

Kate's is worth going to I suppose. Maybe you will have a better experience? Definitely a place for people who want bling, glitter, bustles, and pick-ups!

While I didn't buy my dress from Kate, I had an awesome experience going to her shop. I thought it looked really small upon entering but she had a multitude of dresses for me to try. She was kind, patient and professional all with be very relaxed. I would really recommend checking her out.

I purchased my dress at Kate's Kouture and it was a seamless process. Katie has a tiny shop, but a really nice selection of reasonably priced dresses to try on. She is very helpful, providing good feedback on how the dresses look. I did not get the pressure sell on the dress, and she didn't try to force me into a veil. I ordered my dress about two weeks after trying it on, it arrived right when she said it would, and she was proactive about contacting me to let me know when she expected it in. She also works with a great seamstress who will come to the shop for dress fittings so you don't have to go to an outside tailor if you don't want to.

Overall I had a low-key, stress free shopping experience. And the service after the sale was just as good!
