Kate's Kouture Bridal

This tiny shop in Berkeley did help me take my husband's breath away when I walked down the aisle. I had picked out an Alfred Angelo gown that I had seen online, and in addition to that one, I was offered many similar gowns, and gowns that she thought would look good, She was very nice and helpful with her suggestions without being too pushy about which gown she thought I should go with. The only regret I have was purchasing a veil which cost a third of my dress, even on sale, but still, it was overall a pleasant experience.

Great experience at Kate's Kouture! I feel really good about finding my dress at a small independent shop run by a down-to-earth young woman who specializes in affordable beautiful gowns. After going to too many shops and receiving little real help Katy was the first person who asked what I was interested in and actually listened. She pulled out several dresses to try on and the second one was THE ONE. Luckily I didn't need much altering done but the seamstress she recommended (Sophia) was excellent, with the same genuine energy and professionalism. Thank you both for providing me with the dress that rocked my wedding!

Kate's Kouture was the 5th or 6th bridal salon that we visited and I had a wonderful experience here. It is a small shop in Berkeley and we were the only customers there during our appointment. We had Katie's full attention and I ended up buying a dress that she recommended I try on (I wouldn't have do so if she hadn't). I knew it was THE won when all the girls there with me cried when I tried it on. The dress was reasonably priced and I received SO many compliments on it at my wedding. Thank you Katie!

I purchased my dress at Kate's Kouture and it was a seamless process. Katie has a tiny shop, but a really nice selection of reasonably priced dresses to try on. She is very helpful, providing good feedback on how the dresses look. I did not get the pressure sell on the dress, and she didn't try to force me into a veil. I ordered my dress about two weeks after trying it on, it arrived right when she said it would, and she was proactive about contacting me to let me know when she expected it in. She also works with a great seamstress who will come to the shop for dress fittings so you don't have to go to an outside tailor if you don't want to.

Overall I had a low-key, stress free shopping experience. And the service after the sale was just as good!

While I didn't buy my dress from Kate, I had an awesome experience going to her shop. I thought it looked really small upon entering but she had a multitude of dresses for me to try. She was kind, patient and professional all with be very relaxed. I would really recommend checking her out.

Kate's Kouture is the perfect place to shop for a dress. I had already chosen the one I wanted through online browsing, but of course, needed to see it and have it fitted in person. Other places I visited tried to sway my decision, and were very "salesy," but Kate listened to everything I had to say and helped me figure out my dress size and place my order with the vendor in less than 30 minutes. Kate is so down to earth that you will feel at home in her shop. She will help you pick out dresses you never thought would look good on you. I found my perfect dress that only needed hemming. She also helped me find a great seamstress to hem up my dress and create a bustle.

I absolutely loved Kate's Kouture. It's a small shop in Berkeley, and very cute. I also love that Katy has her little dog at work with her too. She has a small selection of dresses, but the ones she does have are a very good selection. I went to lots of small bridal boutiques, and none had the selection she had. Plus, she makes sure to carry beautiful dresses around or under the $1000 mark, so they are affordable too. There was a dress there that she thought I'd like, and I didn't really want to try on. She pushed gently and I said ok, what's one more dress. I absolutely fell in love with it, and ended up buying that dress! Katy is a fun person to talk to, and I love that she gave her honest opinions too. I bought a veil that was a darker color than my dress. It wasn't her favorite combination, but I liked that she wasn't yessing me to buy the most expensive thing. She really wanted me to be happy with my purchase, and I absolutely was. I recommend checking out Kate's Kouture to any bride.

Katy was wonderful! She had a great selection of dresses. We were able to get my dress and the bridesmaid's dresses all in one place. She was very friendly and professional. The alterations people came to her store. It was a great experience.

Katy was amazing. We had a long day looking for dresses in SF and this was our last apt. We were about 45 min late to our apt due to traffic and locating parking since there was a Berkeley vs. Stanford game. She kept the shop open for us and had refreshments. Katy had such amazing input on dresses and styles. When I tried on the last dress, we just knew it. Katy is sooo flexable and personable and helped made this moment so special.

Great place to shop for wedding dresses! Good prices, Katy is really nice and will put up with neurotic brides like me who need to try on a dress more than once because they cant make up their minds. Not pushy like some bridal shops. Parking is kinda bad in the area so allow time for that. Good for brides on a budget who don't want dress from somewhere like David's Bridal.
